We felt like we were in a 1900’s apartment just like the old French people! Great assortment of spices, oils and vinegars if you plan to cook. We made fresh pasta with baby clams, mussels and scallops (in a shell) all from the Saturday market. Easy to walk everywhere. Take the little trains. One stops at Cezanne gardens. The patio was lovely. A great week in Aix!

Marie is a perfect host and the apartment is lovely and well located. The only caveat regarded the terrace: I enjoyed it but my daughter was "attacked" by mosquitos.

Fabulous apartment in Aix

I was so pleased to stay at Marie's property, it was charming, spacious and beautiful. The location is perfect, a quiet area but 5 minutes max to centre but also lots of nice cafes and shops nearby.. I'd love to come back to Aix and this would be my number 1 place 1place

Beautiful Aix!

Marie has a lovely little apartment in beautiful Aix. I was met by Marie, shown around and given the keys. The apartment had everything to make my stay very comfortable including a wecome bottle of delucious rose wine. The location was very close to shops and sights with being too close. I had an excellent stay!

Trois jours enchanteurs

Escapade aixoise pour le festlval de pâques ponctuée par un hébergement exceptionnel alliant calme et charme absolu. Merci de permettre à vos hotes de jouir pour quelques jours de ce merveilleux cadre où s'exprime toute la subtilité et l'elegance d'une chineuse accomplie. Et la météo si chagrine à notre arrivée nous a néanmoins permis de profiter de la terrasse elle aussi des plus accueillantes.

Perfect stay

Quiet, comfortable and VERY easy access (5 minutes walking max) to the heart of old town. We were there for 3 weeks, and greatly enjoyed the apartment and its location. We stayed in this property

Home away from home for 2 weeks

Lots of space and style to this home. I had a 25 min walk each way to class and it meant a lot of time to explore the old city. Well equipped and lots of character. The upstairs neighbour was a bit noisy if you are fussy like me - so earplugs might be required. Safe, clean and great communication.

Perfectly wonderful

We stayed a week and loved Marie Gilly's apartment. She greeted us warmly and showed us everything we needed to know. She was very responsive to our requests and needs. The apartment is charming and so incredibly equipped with everything we might need. The private patio allows for having coffee or dining outdoors, though it was a little hot (in the 90's) when we visited. The location of this property is absolutely perfect for exploring the old part of Aix-en-Provence. We would be happy to return one day. One thing to know is that the most affordable nearby parking can be found at Parking Pasteur. Just a few minutes walk. Notice also, the VRBO photo labeled exterior is of a nearby famous museum, not the home. The outside of the house is nothing to brag about, but the interior is divine and very authentic historical French!

Lovely apartment in Aix with A/C in bedroom

Marie is lovely but only speaks French, so come armed with Google translate if you don't. Park in the hotel parking lot which is close but a little expensive. Apartment is well furnished and has all amenities!

Accueil agréable à Aix

Bien reçu de la parte de l’hôte. L’appartement est accueillant, frais quand if fait chaud dehors, bien ouvert, mais à la fois abrité et privé. Bien placé pour accéder à vieil Aix, aussi bien que le Cours Mirabeau. Le decor est tout à fait charmant, aussi bien que Marie, la hôtesse qui vous laisse tout pour assurer un sejour agréable dans la ville magnifique d’Aix.

Enjoyable stay in this apartment

A great location. We had a few issues with the door locking mechanism and WiFi not working. Both issues were dealt with promptly and pleasantly by our hosts. Totally recommend this apartment.

Perfect location

Marie is a gracious host. The location is perfect--quiet, close to everything! We walked everywhere daily. Lots of restaurants, cafes, grocery stores within eight min. walk. The apartment is large with outside patio. Marie provided everything and more. Stayed a month. Truly lovely.

Snug and gorgeous apartment in probably the most beautiful town in the Midi

Marie's flat is two minutes' walk to the cours Mirabeau, the main street in Aix. It is quirkily/ beautifully decorated and has absolutely everything you could possibly need for your stay. I could not fault anything about this accommodation or this town. We absolutely loved it!

A superb stay in Aix

We very much enjoyed our week in Aix. We loved being in the heart of the city and enjoyed the close proximity to the centre. The property is full of charm and very homely with everything and more than we needed, especially in the kitchen. The outside space was pleasant to sit in. Our hosts were there when we arrived and we felt very welcome.

Parfait !

Excellent accueil de Marie, propriétaire du logement. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié l'emplacement, tout proche de l'hyper centre mais sans l'inconvénient du passage, la rue est interdire à la circulation et la chambre et la cuisine donnent sur la terrasse bien ombragée côté cour. Pendant notre séjour, l'environnement était très calme. Le logement est particulièrement bien équipé, tout à fait conforme au descriptif, très fonctionnel, juste un étage à monter avec un escalier privatif. Marie nous avait laissé des boissons fraîches, une bouteille de rosé et le petit déjeuner pour notre arrivée. Merci à elle, nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir l'année prochaine!

Bonjour j'ai passé un séjour délicieux. L'appartement est impeccable en plus d'avoir un charme fou.
