Host was great; she responded immediately whenever I had a question.Apartment is absolutely charming; maybe a bit shabby but appliances are new; bed is comfortable and location superb.I was very happy during my four week stay. In Aix.Hope to return next winter and hope this apartment is available.

The apartment is clearly one of the Hosts' homes, furnished with everything one could possibly need. The pictures don't do it justice; the living room is much larger than it looks. Because it's their home it's comfortable in a way that corporate or professional VRBO's aren't. Location is perfect, a block from shops and restaurants, easy walking distance to all that Aix has to offer, which is a lot. The hosts were charming and helpful, even lending me their garage so I wouldn't have to walk a distance to a public car park. I wish every VRBO turned out to be as good as this one.

Marie is a perfect host and the apartment is lovely and well located. The only caveat regarded the terrace: I enjoyed it but my daughter was "attacked" by mosquitos.

Perfect stay

Fabulous apartment in Aix

I was so pleased to stay at Marie's property, it was charming, spacious and beautiful. The location is perfect, a quiet area but 5 minutes max to centre but also lots of nice cafes and shops nearby.. I'd love to come back to Aix and this would be my number 1 place 1place

This apartment was perfect for our stay!! Wonderful hosts!!

We stayed 4 nights - the apartment is very comfortably furnished! , plenty of space, and lovely back deck area. We completely enjoyed our stay. The location is quiet and is within easy walking distance of everything we wanted to do and see. Many thanks to our lovely and helpful hosts also!

We felt like we were in a 1900’s apartment just like the old French people! Great assortment of spices, oils and vinegars if you plan to cook. We made fresh pasta with baby clams, mussels and scallops (in a shell) all from the Saturday market. Easy to walk everywhere. Take the little trains. One stops at Cezanne gardens. The patio was lovely. A great week in Aix!

Beautiful Aix!

Marie has a lovely little apartment in beautiful Aix. I was met by Marie, shown around and given the keys. The apartment had everything to make my stay very comfortable including a wecome bottle of delucious rose wine. The location was very close to shops and sights with being too close. I had an excellent stay!

The unit was clean, cute, and in a great location! The only issue we had was a lack of parking. The unit has parking listed as an accommodation, but there is no designated parking for the unit (we were told to find street parking or use the garage which was 20 euros a day). We knew we’d be traveling with a car, which is why we chose a unit which listed parking as an accommodation, so that was a surprise. Our hosts were very kind and the unit had nice touches (leaving extra toiletries out, bread and butter in the fridge, etc.) which we appreciated. I made sure English was an appropriate language before booking, but our instructions for checkout were in French and our host began messaging in French once we arrived, so it made checkout instructions a little unclear (I hope we did everything right)! Overall, we had a great stay and it is a charming unit, but if you have a car know there is no designated parking as is listed.

Dans nos correspondances il n'a pas été question de parking. je ne propose pas de parking inclus dans la location. Les parkings sont autour de la maison mais sont payants. Je suis navrée que vous ayez eu des problèmes à cause du parking. J'espère que malgré cet inconvénient, vous avez passé un séjour agréable à Aix en Provence. Bien à vous. Marie

Excellent Location

Frankly the apartment was nicer than my own house. For the price, the quality was outstanding and the location could not be beat. The host was so kind and helpful If I ever return to Aix-en-Provence I would not hesitate to stay there again.

A superb stay in Aix

We very much enjoyed our week in Aix. We loved being in the heart of the city and enjoyed the close proximity to the centre. The property is full of charm and very homely with everything and more than we needed, especially in the kitchen. The outside space was pleasant to sit in. Our hosts were there when we arrived and we felt very welcome.

Enjoyable stay in this apartment

A great location. We had a few issues with the door locking mechanism and WiFi not working. Both issues were dealt with promptly and pleasantly by our hosts. Totally recommend this apartment.

Snug and gorgeous apartment in probably the most beautiful town in the Midi

Marie's flat is two minutes' walk to the cours Mirabeau, the main street in Aix. It is quirkily/ beautifully decorated and has absolutely everything you could possibly need for your stay. I could not fault anything about this accommodation or this town. We absolutely loved it!

Fabulous French appartment

My wife and I had a brilliant two week holiday in this fabulous French appartment. The owner, Marie, is especially helpful and kind, making sure our stay was comfortable. She is very careful to follow up on all correspondence. The appartement is really Nice French style, relaxing and central to town. This is a must stay place if you want culture and cosy.

Lovely apartment in Aix with A/C in bedroom

Marie is lovely but only speaks French, so come armed with Google translate if you don't. Park in the hotel parking lot which is close but a little expensive. Apartment is well furnished and has all amenities!

Perfect location

Marie is a gracious host. The location is perfect--quiet, close to everything! We walked everywhere daily. Lots of restaurants, cafes, grocery stores within eight min. walk. The apartment is large with outside patio. Marie provided everything and more. Stayed a month. Truly lovely.

Home away from home for 2 weeks

Lots of space and style to this home. I had a 25 min walk each way to class and it meant a lot of time to explore the old city. Well equipped and lots of character. The upstairs neighbour was a bit noisy if you are fussy like me - so earplugs might be required. Safe, clean and great communication.

Perfectly wonderful

We stayed a week and loved Marie Gilly's apartment. She greeted us warmly and showed us everything we needed to know. She was very responsive to our requests and needs. The apartment is charming and so incredibly equipped with everything we might need. The private patio allows for having coffee or dining outdoors, though it was a little hot (in the 90's) when we visited. The location of this property is absolutely perfect for exploring the old part of Aix-en-Provence. We would be happy to return one day. One thing to know is that the most affordable nearby parking can be found at Parking Pasteur. Just a few minutes walk. Notice also, the VRBO photo labeled exterior is of a nearby famous museum, not the home. The outside of the house is nothing to brag about, but the interior is divine and very authentic historical French!

Trois jours enchanteurs

Escapade aixoise pour le festlval de pâques ponctuée par un hébergement exceptionnel alliant calme et charme absolu. Merci de permettre à vos hotes de jouir pour quelques jours de ce merveilleux cadre où s'exprime toute la subtilité et l'elegance d'une chineuse accomplie. Et la météo si chagrine à notre arrivée nous a néanmoins permis de profiter de la terrasse elle aussi des plus accueillantes.

idéalement situé

appartement ancien de charme avec petite terrasse bien aménagée et verdoyante. De bons restaurants à proximité ainsi qu un service de bus. Sans voiture tout est accessible à pieds ou bus y compris Aix TGV.
