Host was great. The furniture is old, outdated and in disrepair. Multiple window were missing screens and it definitely could use a more detailed and through cleaning.

The balcony view of the Boardwalk Amusement park is fantastic! Great for breakfast and and evening sit down.Kitchen had plenty of tools and a good fridge. Master bedroom is comfy with ample storage. Be prepared for the stairs!The whole space was cleaned very well, and windows provided good airflow to cool or warm the space, depending on which time of day you opened them.Very easy to walk right up to the shore and wharf. My favorite location I’ve stayed in Santa Cruz so far. We would highly recommend!My one note about Santa Cruz for any families wanting to visit the Boardwalk Amusement Park is to check the operating hours ahead of time. We were dismayed to learn the park is NOT open on weekdays in the Fall, despite what Google may say. Always check the official site! (no worries for the property owner, as this was on me)

Everything was great! The location was perfect and the neighborhood was very quiet. Walking distance to the Boardwalk and wharf. There is bowling,bikes to rent,shops and food close by.

Value reflects the stay

Good value for the location and space. Was happy to see that the master bedroom was upgraded to a king bed (although the bed frame was EXTREMELY noisy). I agree with prior reviews that the smell on the first floor was a bit overwhelming when you first walk in but luckily it wasn’t an issue on the second or third floor. There were plenty of stairs but we had read this so we’re not surprised. Dragging the cooler up that narrow staircase was tricky but manageable. If you’re not fit or have good knees you may not enjoy this unit. Overall we did enjoy our stay and would have considered staying here again was I not so disappointed and annoyed by the limited supplies. The dish soap was tiny and I don’t think the dishwasher is functional since there was no dishwashing tabs or soap, no Kleenex for blowing noses and we ran out of toilet paper on our last evening. We contacted Vacasa to see if there was more toilet paper available somewhere in the unit to be told that it’s their policy to only provide two (very cheap and small) roles per bathroom. With young children and a four night stay I don’t think expecting a couple more roles is unfair. Its not that it was a huge deal to spend 3 bucks on a 4 pack, but rather the inconvenience of having to run out to a store on our last evening there when traffic is horrendous that was the annoyance. Please ensure the next guest has access to the extra roles we left for them on top of your two provided roles per bathroom ….

Wonderful three floor apartment

Great two bedroom apartment. Be aware, there are three floors so if stairs are hard fory ou, this wont be a good fot. Balcony looks out on the boardwalk. Nice stocked kitchen. Safe garage parking. Nice size rooms. Beach toys for kids. Sea lions and seals at the pier andLots of rides and restaurants all within walking didtance. Beautiful cliff walk/ run. Watch surfers. Walk to trails, shopping and a bike path along the river. All so close and fun!

Good location and function

If you are looking for a place close to the boardwalk and with lots of space for up to 6 people, this is a good option. The one car garage and extra parking space are a plus. The view from the balcony is very nice at the beginning and end of the day. There is plenty of gathering and alone space. Keep in mind that this is three levels so lots of stairs. The decor and guest comforts are bare minimum and could be improved. Very dated and lacking but fine. Don't expect a home that has all you need (extra blankets, interior decorating, TV in every room, etc...) and you will not be disappointed with the location and space. We personally would stay again but wish the owner would invest a little more.

Great Apartment!

Boardwalk Dream perfectly fit our needs. It was spacious, clean and well-equipped. The location was walking distance from the boardwalk, Santa Cruz Pier and beach, where we could see the amazing sea lions. It was wonderful to hear the sound of the waves from our balcony, and we greatly appreciated the convenient washer & dryer. Overall, a great place to stay.

No AC

This house was ok. Not spectacular not awful but it suited a need for a stay. There is no AC in this house and if you are lucky like me you get to have an open window that your toddler can fall out of while listening to the neighbors sound like they are drowning a cat while singing karaoke to each other. However it’s not the leasing company’s fault the neighbors are gone deaf. I would not bring a toddler or younger here or anyone with disabilities even just old age. I put that on myself as I should have found somewhere that was safer for my toddler and elderly mom. Having the garage is nice. I was glad I could park my car and just walk in, only issue was the security camera is inside the garage which leaves no privacy inside the house and you have to walk past wide open windows to the outside that anyone can look into so the safety of an attached garage is out the window. There are two more uncovered windows so make sure you aren’t walking up or down the stairs after a shower in the random full bathroom on the top floor with no bedrooms. All in all it was a good stay. I just wouldn’t stay there again.

Good location

The location is convenient, close to the boardwalk and beach. I that this place has a garage to park in. It’s tight, but our larger SUV did fit. The house was clean when we arrived, and after you open up the windows, cools down quick. The only downside is the primary bedroom mattress is so uncomfortable. We barely slept and are so sore after 2 nights. This would be the only thing stopping us from renting this house again.

No A/C - No screens on windows

This unit does not state they did not have A/C and no screens in windows in bedrooms so no way to get air into bedroom’s unless you wanted bugs to fly in. Only 1 small and 1 box fan for circulation. They also have 3 flights of stairs and I feel that should be noted in the unit as well.

Such a lovely experience

We stayed at the home for 3 nights and enjoyed it very much! Excellent location, only a 5 minute walk to the boardwalk. The home is 3 stories so there are a lot of stairs, but it really wasn’t too bad. There is a dumb waiter to help you bring up your bags & groceries so that was really convenient! The home was fully stocked with everything you need to make meals at home. The master bedroom was very spacious. Some reviews have mentioned that the bed was very uncomfortable but I didn’t think it was too bad. The smaller bedroom fit our 3 kids nicely. We used the top bed & the rollaway bed underneath for our older 2 and there was enough room to put a pack and play up for our youngest to sleep in. The only downside is that the bedrooms are underneath the main living area and if there is someone walking around upstairs you can hear every step they take lol. So bring a sound machine for younger kiddos! Living room was spacious & the balcony was a lovely feature. It was so neat seeing the lights from the boardwalk at night and hearing the rides from the living room. The only downside there is that the WiFi didn’t work very well. We brought our chrome cast so that we could stream our own shows but we couldn’t get it to connect to the WiFi. And there is cable, but not a huge selection of channels available to watch. The garage was a nice feature as well. They have plenty of beach toys, towels, & chairs in there to take with you to the beach. Also a washer & dryer with detergent to do a load of laundry if needed. Of course if anyone knows Santa Cruz they know that there are a lot of transients in the area. We forgot to lock up our car one night and someone did get into it and stole a couple of items. But that was our fault for leaving it unlocked. Just want to let people know that aren’t familiar with the area that you do need to be vigilant about locking up your stuff there. But that goes for anywhere in Santa Cruz lol. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and thought that the home was perfect for us. We plan on coming back next year and staying at this home again!

Great Vacation home

This one of the cleanest homes I have stayed in. It had a great selection of cookware. The home was stocked with beach toys, beach towels, boogie boards, and 2 beach chairs. The dumbwaiter was an unbelievable asset making unpacking and packing a snap. A really easy 3 or 2 block walk to the beach which helped keep my car clean. Having a garage to keep my car in was such peace of mind and convenience. It is a really tight fit getting in but if you fold your mirrors in it’s doable even for a Toyota sienna. We all greatly enjoyed our experience and wish more vacation rentals offered this much accommodations and cleanliness.

Expedia priced this property at such an affordable price!! I will keep booking my vacations through Expedia. The property was very very clean. A very easy 2 to 3 block walk down to the beach. It had great accommodations making this whole experience good. Check in and out we’re beyond easy. I can’t wait to book again with everyone! Great house!

The place was absolutely adorable! It had a great view of the boardwalk and is walking distance to the beach. The showers there have amazing pressure! We loved that there were beach towels available and toys to play in the sand and make sand castles! Thank you for letting us rent your home for our first time in Cali! The only complaints and things to worry about are: The stairs are horrendous if you have bad knees (which we expected, but just as a warning to others) and the master bed isn’t comfortable at all. Way too soft! For some reason the smart tv upstairs won’t let you in Netflix but the one in the master bedroom will, so bring some games to play in the evening!

Great Location!

It was a lovely stay. Everything was easy and straightforward. The location is 2 blocks from the boardwalk so that is wonderful! The house is well apportioned as well. Very comfortable.
