Outstanding hospitality at exceptional 5-star home

We loved every minute of our stay here and look forward to one day returning. Owner and property manager very friendly and accommodating to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Highly recommend if staying here to rent car for short drives to the other locations around island for activities. Being near airport was not big deal we live just as near one where we are from and actually went down to do some plane spotting from awesome point.

Fantastic holiday on Madeira

We had a holiday on Madeira in May and stayed in Anna's house for 10 days. Anna, the hostess, is a very nice and hospitable lady, and so is her helper, Eli. The house is very clean, and the kitchen is exceptionally well-equipped with everything you could possibly need. The view from the garden is breathtaking. It's just a few minutes' drive from the airport and the pretty seaside village of Santa Cruz. A local snack bar, frequented by locals, is within a two-minute walk.

Very nice & comfortable place to rest. Welcome is great. A rental car is mandatory as the place is located at 7mn from the city center by car but walking is not an option. We really enjoyed our stay and were able to visit the island as well as Porto Santo island. Great memories and we felt like at home.

Excellent stay, 10/10 recommend. Very clean and well maintained, beautiful views. Host was easy to communicate with, responsive, and had lots of thoughtful touches (local fruit, water, etc). Well stocked kitchen for cooking. Would recommend a car, but that’s true for most of Madeira.

amazing vacation with friends

Me and my classmates and some friends rented this amazing house for a week. We felt very welcomed from the first moment we entered the house. The host had little gifts and water for us ready and the house was very very clean. We had a very relaxed time in the house eating on the terrace or relaxing in the garden after exploring the beautiful island.

Friendly & Hospitable

We felt very welcome. Anna had baked us a cake, put water and milk in the fridge and lots of fruit ready on the tabel for us. The appartement was very clean and very completely equipped. Anna is very friendly and helpful and communication with Anna was good. We would have liked a bit more privacy, but besides that everything was perfect. We thoroughly recommend Anna's place!

Madeira Adventure

We stayed for 10 days in the property as a base to explore Madeira. The property was perfect for all 5 of us, lots of space, well equipped and immaculate. Anna is the host and is the loveliest person. She had baked us xakes for our arrival and supplied us with extra beach towels when needed. She also provided basic food and fruit., lots of advice about the area including a local farmers market we would never have known about. We loved our stay and visited most of the island. I would highly recommend this accomodation as a hub for exploring the island.

What a perfect location to explore Madeira.

We stayed in the apartment for 6 nights. It was an excellent location for a night out in Santa Cruz. Virtually a 5min walk from the house (5min drive to Machico town, Santa Cruz airport 7min drive) and many other popular locations in Funchal city (less than 25-30min drive to Angels fall, 25 fontes falls, Skywalk and other few attractions). The house has a great atmosphere and makes for a nice place to unwind after a long day of exploring the city and Anna left plenty of useful information about the area and points of interest. The apartment was immaculate with modern furnishings to an excellent standard. There were special touches such as toiletries situated in the bathroom. In addition, the kitchen facilities were excellent with all utilities required should you wish a quiet dining with family. Anna kindly left some welcome snacks for us. The house has tea, coffee etc… The house was very spacious and as described could fit 6 people adequately. Anna was very helpful and kind and we could contact her very easily. (She would always reply within half an hour) Highly recommended property and keen to pursue furth bookings!! FIVE STAR RATING!!

Very comfortable stay but you definitely need a car!

The house is lovely, I was a bit disappointed to find it wasn’t the whole house- I was looking forward to waking up to the view from that lovely balcony, however, we had most of the downstairs part of the building. The beds were comfortable with duvets and blankets available. The lounge/ dining room had a good sized table for family of 6, unfortunately there wasn’t enough comfortable sofas for everyone to lounge around as there was only a leather sofa to sit 2. The lounge would benefit from having standard lamps rather than just the 6 bulb chandelier which we found to be far too bright to relax in. The kitchen is well fitted out with various sizes of pans, a huge assortment of crockery and cutlery, except for a bread knife, considering how much fresh bread is eaten here that would’ve been appreciated. It would have been very helpful to have a folder with useful information eg instructions for ovens, dishwasher, washing machine, what rubbish to put in each bin, etc. Due to the very hilly location and lack of reliable buses, I would definitely recommend hiring a car as we wasted 2 days walking up and down the hill and waiting on buses which didn’t arrive, much to out teenagers disgust!

Exceptionally clean, well equipped holiday let near Santa Cruz.

Anna,the host, together with her very capable housekeeper,Bela and maintenance/gardener Gerberto have created an exceptionally clean, well-equipped let. The kitchen has all you need and more, beds are comfortable, towels and linen fresh, the showers are hot and powerful, there is WIFI, TV and enclosed car-parking. We were greeted with fresh flowers and treats, including a typical Maderian cake home-baked by Bela. The proximity to the airport is not an issue. However, there are a few issues. The house is set up as a series of apartments, at least one that appears to be a permanent let. One does not have exclusive use of the building. You need to specify the number of rooms and beds needed when you book to avoid confusion. There are approx. 12 steps down from the car park to the entrance which could be problematic for some.The 'dropped pin' which shows the accommodation as one minute from the beach is very misleading. The accommodation is over 40 minutes, of a difficult uphill walk along a busy road without a footpath for most of the way. The BBQ is upstairs in the car park and would appear as never commissioned. These may appear trivial issues, when appraising such a wonderful holiday let, but they need to be addressed as they are very traumatic to find on arrival after a long stressful travel time.The attention to cleanliness and the follow-up help, provided almost instantly, when needed, is exemplary. Thank you Anna, Bela and Gerberto for a wonderful stay. We recommend!!

Das ist eine sehr schöne Ferienwohnung, in die wir nach unseren Ausflügen immer gerne wieder zurückgekommen sind. Hier wurde an vieles gedacht, um uns den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu machen. Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin verlief zügig und sehr freundlich. Wir wurden mit vielen Köstlichkeiten der Region empfangen und waren davon sehr beeindruckt. Auch der dazugehörige Garten gefiel uns sehr. Vielen Dank! Madeira ist echt eine Reise wert!!!

Nous avons passé les 4 premières nuits de notre séjour dans le logement d’Anna. Tout était absolument parfait, Anna est d’une grande gentillesse et nous a accueils très chaleureusement avec de nombreuses attentions (petits gâtée aux, boissons, etc.). Le logement en lui même est spacieux, très très bien équipé et surtout d’une propreté irréprochable. Nous n’avons manqué de rien, nous nous sentions comme chez nous avec une vue magnifique en prime (terrasse extérieure à disposition et très bien aménagée). Le logement est également parfaitement bien situé, à quelques mn de l’aéroport, mais sans aucune nuisance sonore. Le centre ville de Santa Cruz est à 5mn en voiture ; l’accès aux différents points de randonnées est aussi très rapide et pratique depuis la location. Rien à redire sur ce séjour et ce logement ; nous reviendrons certainement à Madere, sans aucun doute chez Anna . Je recommande ce logement les yeux fermés. Merci

Superbe séjour à Madère chez Anna

Nous avons ete tres bien accueilli par Anna qui est d une tres grande gentillesse. Communication parfaite que ce soit avant ou pendant le sejour. Anna fait tout pour repondre aux attentes.La maison est tres bien située proche de l aeroport sans en avoir les desagrements. Vue mer. La maison est tres bien équipée.
