Old and mildew smelling, filthy furniture, carpet and handrails. Exposed screws around door. Furniture was covered with blankets to hide the filth. Exterior banister was not attached to house. The management company tried to remedy and sent out cleaners and repair people.We left early because the house was so terrible. This rental cost of over 6400 so a high-end experience was expected - however, this was the worst VBRO rental we have ever had.

Neighborhood is quiet. Short walk to the dog beach and to Peg Leg Pete’s. Excellent communication from the property management before checking in and speedy check in process.

Home location is great. Kitchen well equipped. Wi-Fi was great as this was a working vacation. But, there were many disappointments and would not return to this property: pool fencing was falling down, loose brick around pool, roaches inside the house, not very clean, additional items needing replacement/updating (stove light, blinds). Property manager willing to rectify quickly but not convenient during your stay. These things should be done before I arrive.

Fun & Sun Beach House

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very pretty home and a great location. Watch out for the wasp nest on the stairs going up to the front door. Neighbors on the South side were not friendly and told the kids to shut up. But other than that we had a wonderful time and a very nice place to stay.

While I wasn't sure if we would like not being ON the beach, the location was perfect. The walk to the beach access was not far at all. The pool is a huge plus, and looking out back at the canal was great. The house itself was older than houses we normally stay in, and it could use some updating, but I would stay there again. Kids rented bikes and would go to town daily. Being close to everything was great. We had a great time.

Best Family Trip Ever

We had a wonderful stay at the beautiful property and enjoyed our neighbors and the great location. The Paradise Beach property managers were incredibly helpful. We strongly recommend the location and the support team.

Location is close to many great restaurants (Flounders & McGuire's our favs). Property was clean; however in need of repair to doors & wish back porches were designed to sit during rain. Vacation

When booking this rental, I had read the reviews and had a few concerns about some things but when I got there, everything was managed. The picnic table that was by the pool was still splintery, but I put a tablecloth and a few beach towels on the bench and it was perfectly safe for our family and friends. The second review that I had read talked about the palmetto bugs, there were a few, but we are from this area and if you’re living by the water like this house is there will be a few bugs but they don’t hurt you and it doesn’t mean that the facility isn’t clean. They are just water bugs. We had our son’s first birthday party there and the downstairs worked great having shade and tables and having a pool and ithe beach being walking distance. The kitchen was really big with a lot of counter space to keep the food upstairs. The kitchen was stocked with all the essentials that you would need. Even the bedrooms had portable fans so you don’t have to bring yours from home. Overall, we will be booking this house again in the future. Thanks again.

Great view - quiet area

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a group of 8, aged 5-78. PBH was easy to communicate with and our after hours check-in went smoothly. Overall, we had a good stay at this property. Specifically, it is a good location with a nice pool, great view of the canal and super close to the beach. It is a quiet neighborhood. There is a convenient boardwalk across the street to get you to the beach easily. Property is a little dated, but functional and everything works. A few minor maintenance issues need attention (bath sinks dripping, toilets running or not flushing normally, back fence needs maintenance on right side, floor by back door is uneven/squishy). Be aware that all 3 bedrooms are upstairs on the 3rd floor. Overall, we had a great experience at this home.

Needs TLC, good location

The location is perfect. However, we were pretty disappointed with the property’s condition upon arrival. The house was not cleaned thoroughly prior to our arrival and we found a full trashcan in the basement, the grill was so filthy It was not usable, sand on the floors, sand spurs stuck in the carpets, and I even found a used Band-Aid under the dining table. All of the appliances worked, but the cooking utensils need a serious upgrade. Lastly, there were very few linens available for use considering how many people this home accommodates, specifically it needs more bath towels. The property manager responded by removing the trash left in the basement, however, we also requested that the grill be cleaned and a hole in the floor be addressed. Neither of the last two reported concerns were addressed during our visit. It was not the worst experience I’ve ever had, but I am definitely disappointed. In the experience I got for the price we paid.

Disappointed

Property not worth the $6K per week. Not clean upon are arrival. Called the property management and they were going to send someone over, no one showed and I ended up cleaning it myself. Very outdated, bunch of mismatched furniture and no dressers (had to live out of our suitcases that we had to place on the floor of the closets. This also included small appliances, had to call property management the first several days of being their to replace a couple small appliances. We had issues with doors being very difficult to close, Repairman came out and did the best he could, but their were still issues and you could see gaps where light was come thru up top. Told me it was time the owners replaced doors. Picnic table was in such bad shape (we could have gotten splinters from it had we used it), asked if we could replace with new one in the garage. Property Management said they would inquire with the owners and get back with us, never heard back. I could go on, but I think you get the point. With all my concerns, I was told the Property Manager would call me Monday morning, never heard from him. We do not have any issues spending money to rent a home for vacation and have never had issues with those homes, but this home was very disappointing. Will not rent again!!!

The property is in a perfect location with quick and easy access to the Gulf and Sound. The pool was spotless and was a wonderful addition to the property. In addition, the house was supplied with an abundance of outside chairs and picnic tables as well as a grill. The kitchen was well stocked and plenty of bath towels were supplied. The management company Paradise Rentals made the check-in and check-out process was seamless. Overall a great rental property.

Reviewer Comments: The lights in the pool and the outside lights for the pool did not work, we were told the owners were working on it along with the cable upstairs. The balcony railing on the top floor was VERY loose, and the second balcony was loose, we spoke with the rental company and it was fixed promptly but we had our granddaughter with us, could have been bad. Needs repairs. But it was a wonderful location all in all not to bad.
