While had pre arrival communications with host, host was traveling internationally on day check-in. No problem as also gave # for property manager. BUT, on date when experience is to get code for access, etc: 0, nada, no communication through app, email, text; nothing. Arrival at site and had to call property manager; who seemed puzzled; but got access , and within a minute realized problems: towels on floors of both bathrooms, all beds rumpled, no clean towels, crumbs on counter, dirty glass on counter; basically not ready. Took few pics and called property manager back and said was going to send over photos. She seemed oblivious but said would come over. Did with a 2d and proceeded to clean, and spent an hour; but had a young chich who was hungry so had to prep dinner while they cleaned. What still bothers me is reasons/ excuses that seemed to indicate yo me a complete lack of communication between host and their crewas not even getting code indicates failure in 1st instance, but for property manager, if aware guest arrival not to remember to review and clean. One particular excuse was Owner had new deck done and just finished ( and clearly a new deck) and cleaning crew couldn't be there? Strange as clean crew need not access to deck to clean bedrooms, bedding, towels, etc. Since dishwasher full (I empted), bags of garbage in garage and items 1st noted, no one had cleaned from previous guests; guessing days, unless the deck crew stayed and no one followed up.
