There is a different term and reference for WC or toilet, this being: "salle de toilette". The difference in perception appears likely to be a cultural one. In further clarification to future readers: there is one "salle de toilette" per floor (4 "salles de toilette" in total; 6 "salles de bain"). The castle is authentic in both historical and geographical context, and not comparable to modern apartments or villas. The castle has 6 "ensuites", 4 "salles de toilettes" / WC. 10 "ensuites" were never the case. It is the first such comment and misperception in 5 years of operation and I am grateful for the opportunity to now realise that such distinctions and clarifications may be essential for the non-continental European market. It is a pity that this point was not brought up at the multiple opportunities to do so during the visit, when a simple explanation during our conversations would have easily clarified the misperception.
