Clean and quiet. Elevator building. Many food stores within a few blocks, including a large indoor market with food stalls. About a 10 minute walk to nearest metro station.

The amenities were excellent There was a problem with checking inThe check in time is 5pm which is unusually late and not convenient for overseas travelersThe host graciously made an accommodation for us for noon but due to heavy traffic we were 20 minutes late and the caretaker left so we had to wait 5 hours to check inIt would be handy to have 2 sets of keysThere is no winery associated with this property( just addressing required question further in the review)

The apartment was superior. It definitely had special touches not found in other apartments. The property was very secure. The area, in Le Marais, was terrific, lots of restaurants, cafes and shops nearby. The owner, Véronique, immediately responded to my questions. I also enjoyed meeting and talking to the housekeeper, who met me when I checked in. I would be happy to stay there again when in Paris.

The appartment was lovely in a fabulous location. My husband and I enjoyed exploring the Marais, walking everywhere and feeling safe and comfortable. We found all that we needed at convenient shops and markets including the Marche des Enfants Rouge. A new museum for us was the Musee des Arts et Metiers.

This apartment is the loveliest apartment we've stayed in since 2012, when we began renting in Paris. It is beautifully furnished and there is a lot of space, unlike many Paris apartments.The upper Marais neighborhood is bustling with activity and restaurants, most with outdoor seating. There were at least two bus-lines and three subway lines within a short walk. Our contact was always available to answer questions. She is very friendly and helpful.One issue which was an issue in 2019, is that although there is a washing machine, the "dryer" is a small rack which can only accommodate a limited amount of items. There is, however, a self-service laundry around the corner on rue Charlot.Other than that, we had a ver nice "séjour" on rue Pastourelle.

Great apartment

The apartment was exactly as described; clean and comfortable. We were met at the apartment by the housekeeper. I recommend having her show you how to use the keys as the room key was a little tricky at first.

In a vast sea of Parisian apartment rentals, this one is a standout. The apartment is large and sunny, beautifully furnished, and perfectly equipped for cooking, The apartment's location on a quiet inner courtyard of a stunning historic building could make one forget it is located in one of the city's busiest and most sought after neighborhoods, full of restaurants, markets, and boutiques. I can't wait to return!

An excellent rental, but not without stress

The apartment and neighborhood were excellent, but communication with the owner was strained. We've rented in Paris via VRBO since 2012 and have always had positive experiences—until now.Three issues impacted our stay:1. The phone number we were given for the housekeeper did not go through. The owner told us the housekeeper would meet us with the keys, but without a working contact number, we were unable to notify her about our delayed arrival due to lost luggage at the airport. And we had no other information about entering the courtyard and its apartment.2. When we reached the owner directly, she said VRBO had emailed us the check-in information we sought, so we must not have read it. (Weeks later we found the email buried in a flood of messages that did not reach us on the day of the power outage throughout Portugal, where we were staying.) Thankfully, the housekeeper eventually met us in the courtyard, though by then it was quite late—through no fault of our own.3. When we requested cleaning after a week, the owner said her listing made no such offer—even though VRBO’s site clearly states “Housekeeping (on request)” and “Change of bedsheets (on request).” In our many years of renting through VRBO, we have always made use of these options and have never before been turned down.All of these issues stemmed from missed connections, miscommunication, and possible listing inconsistencies, but the owner’s vexed response to each situation added stress to our visit.

Disturbing and lasting impression.

First, the apartment was large, clean, and just as pictured on line. Great location with many eating and shopping opportunities nearby. However, 4 days after checking out the host texted me saying “I come to you because our cleaning lady did not find the mohair blanket that was on your bed”. I responded 40 minutes later that we had taken it off the bed because it was too warm to use and had put it in the closet. She then looked and found the blanket. But, in the mean time she had already gone to VRBO and put a 1000 Euro charge on my account. I was so upset, mad that I had been accused of stealing, and told her so. She just brushed it off saying “of course they will refund you” and “I didn’t accuse you of stealing”. Hard to believe that since she had already charged me the 1000 euros. Unfortunately it will be difficult to erase that memory of my first visit to Paris and I would never stay here again. I was guilty before even given an opportunity to respond. I contacted VRBO—and was disappointed that they would put the charge on my bill without discussing the situation with me first. Both the host and VRBO act as if all is resolved and no one harmed. That is not at all how I feel.

Suited us nicely

Great location within walking distance of the best Paris attractions. Apartment is spacious, sunny, and has windows on two sides that allowed for good air circulation. It’s also within the complex, away from the hustle and bustle on the streets. We were quite comfortable in this well-furnished apartment.

Beautiful, Quiet & Safe Apartment

This property is a "pied a terre" belonging to a family residing in Normandy. So, it's like staying in someone beautiful, fully furnished city home. It's warm and beautifully furnished and decorated. The location in le Marais is excellent with groceries, bakery, galleries, boutiques and dozens of restaurants within a coupe blocks. Situated in the "haute Marais" it's an excellent home base for exploring central Paris. Also, the Picasso Museum and Centre Ponpidou are a short walk away. Another significant plus is Veronique who manages the VRBO stays. She is charming, knowledgeable about the area and makes herself available. Her restaurant recommendations were spot on! Especially enjoyed Camille just a short walk away. I unreservedly recommend this apartment. It cost a bit more than others in le Marais but is worth it due to it's quality, location and excellent management!!

Great apartment in a great location!

This is a superb apartment in the heart of Le Marais. Very convenient to restaurants and cafes, and museums too. The host was very accommodating and made sure everything was fine. Highly recommended! We hope to stay there again during our next visit to Paris.
