We stayed here for two weeks in December. It is a lovely quiet neighborhood. We found the host, Angela, to be very friendly and responsive. She was probably the best host we have ever had.There is tons of space in this home. Great dining room and kitchen to host family dinners. The pool and hot tub out back were awesome. We fired up the hot tub on most evenings and relaxed after the busy days.The entrance to Griffith Park is a very short distance away and we enjoyed hikes in the park and evening strolls to the many restaurants located on Hillhurst.

Very lovely property. Pool and hot tub were awesome. Large, well stocked kitchen. Tons of room for everyone, and plenty of parking off the street. Beautiful place. Easy check in/out and responsive owners that answers questions anytime. We had a great time.

Gorgeous home; wonderful host. Highly recommend this amazing house—the pool and hot tub are spectacular, beds are comfortable, location is perfect. A little oasis in LA. Angela is fabulous— she even left us a delicious cake for our arrival! Will definitely stay here again in future trips to LA.

This home is essentially at the base of Griffith Park. Close to Thai Town, DTLA, Silverlake, and more. The location and neighborhood are amazing.The home is very spacious, especially with the back house offering a private suite. And the host is very communicative and helpful.But the place simply isn't clean or well kept. The downstair toilet can only be flushed by removing the lid and pulling the flapper up. One of the toilet seats is crusted & cracked. The upstair jack/jill shower barely lets out a trickle. The carpets kick up dust. Coffee was left in the coffee maker. Food was crusted onto dishes and utensils. Overall, the place could be amazing with a little love. The things I mention above aren't particularly expensive, but they are - along with cleanliness - table stakes for this price point.If you're just looking for a place to party, ok. But if you're traveling with family as I was (kids and mother in law) if you really care about cleanliness, look elsewhere.After we left, I brought these things up with the host and she didn't even bother to respond to me. Tells me all I need to know.

Beautiful pool. Plenty of space for 10 adults for a wedding weekend. We had a private hibachi dinner in the backyard and a cookout on our last night. We enjoyed making breakfast each morning in the very spacious kitchen and game night in the dining room.The plumbing in the home was very old and all toilets were difficult to flush. The refrigerator also was not great at staying super cold. The alarm system was not easy to use and stressful. The patio furniture was rusty and could be updated. Overall though we had an amazing trip and enjoyed our stay.

We celebrated Thanksgiving here and it was great. Our host was very welcoming and helpful and I am happy to highly recommend the house, host and location (which is also great !)

Perfection in LA

Our trip to LA was for the Iowa/UCLA game for a family of 9 with 7 adults, 1-8 year old, and a 2-year old. This property is perfection for anyone's trip. I first off want to comment on the communication from the host, Angela. It was fabulous through email/VRBO and also texts that were promptly responded to. There was a bottle of wine and delicious peach pie in the refrigerator upon our arrival - which was so very thoughtful! The home is absolutely lovely with plenty of space for us to spread out but also spaces to gather together for games. We completed a jigsaw puzzle that we had brought on the dining room table with also plenty of room for all 9 of us to sit at for dinner. The pool & spa were heavenly, worked great and provided a great place for lounging outside. The kitchen was well stocked. We prepared breakfast 2 of the mornings & a big salmon dinner Saturday night with plenty of pots/pans & utensils needed to do that. And I cannot end this review without commenting on the location. We were literally minutes from a grocery store and right across the street from the entrance to Griffith Park. We hiked up to the conservatory - about a 30-40 minute hike with fabulous views to reward you at the end for your effort...especially if you arrive prior to sunset as we did. Loved the location & home. Thank you Angela - this trip created memories our family will remember fondly forever!

Very nice and relaxing!

My friends and family stayed in Angela's home for pur annual HHN trip and we felt right at home. The house was well equipped with everything we needed and close to stores, restaurants and theme parks. Angela was quick to respond to our questions and made herself available at anytime. Would definitely stay here again.

everything was perfect and as described, The Host is amazing, friendly and super helpful, the house was perfect and with 10 people it didn't seemed cramped, bedrooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable, enough seating at the table for meals, and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils, the pool was amazing complete with the spa, it was hard to keep the kids out of the pool. the location was perfect, it's close to many attractions. the host gave us ideas were to go and were to eat.. none of it disappointed. She helped make our stay great! no bad advice. When we make another trip west, we will stay here again.

What a gem!

We had 10 friends stay to celebrate two birthdays. The house was so clean, beautiful, and spacious. The host was kind and helpful and made us feel right at home. She gave us early checkin and left us a gift of some wine and a veggie tray in the fridge. The hot tub and pool were heated and cleaned while we were there. This home is perfectly located 10min from universal studios. It was literally 10min from so many things we wanted to do. This is the first place I’ve stayed that I can 100% say I will be back.

Beautiful property, Excellent hostess

We stayed as a large group for one of our daughters who was getting married in LA. Angela was very accommodating and easy to work with. The house is historic and beautiful as advertised. Is in the beautiful Hollywood Hills where you can walk to many things and across the street from Griffith Park.Well stocked kitchen, bath, extra sheets, towels and plenty of pool towels, they even provod laundry soap, etc.. One thing to note is the downstairs master bedroom suite is not in the main house. It is a separate house which is like a pool house behind the garage. It is still a regular suite, but no bedrooms downstairs in the main house, all 4 are upstairs. I did not glean this from the listing on VRBO and maybe I missed it, so if this is important to you, just an FYI. Overall fabulous stay, would definitely recommend and stay again! Thanks again Angela for everything!

Amazing

The host was more than accommodating with anything we needed. The house is clean with multiple rooms to pick from. The pool and spa are heated along with outdoor living space. It’s one place worth staying with everything a short distance away.

I make a special effort to be available and try to create a unique and personal touch…because I genuinely care about my guests.
I have always been interested in real estate and dabbled in it for the past 15 years. My hobby has been architectural design and construction. I have spent the last 1.5 years redesigning this home. It has been a labor of love and now I am hoping that others will enjoy this property as much as I have enjoyed working on it.

I love the area…it’s so much fun & so convenient. The location of Villa Serrano is superb being only 5 minutes from downtown Hollywood and close to all of the amenities that Los Angeles has to offer. The home is nestled in a lush, quiet, tree lined street amongst many Hollywood celebrities.
