Overall, we liked this place for our sons, their SOs, and 2 grandkids. Things you may want to know.
1. Very well maintained and relatively new.
2. 21 steps up and another 18 to 2nd floor.
3. Doors are a bit wonky to unlock/lock and need fixing.
4. Sounds minor but very irritating. The handrails have the wrong paint, prep, or both and paint flakes off. Soon flakes are EVERYWHERE - you, your clothes, your car, inside the house etc.
5. Kitchen is very well equipped in all aspects - appliances, cookware, plates, glasses, etc. 3 coffee pots so all bases covered.
6. There is only 1 (uncomfortable) chair, so if you want to curl and read.....not many options.
7. Sofa in living room forces you to "slouch" as the base is very deep. Overall, not very comfortable.
8. No nightstands at beds so no lighting to sit in bed and read.
9. 2nd frig in garage is very handy.
10. LOTS of stuff for the beach - chairs, towels, a wagon, etc.
11. Outdoor shower (in garage) keeps sand etc. out of the house.
12. 5 minute walk to the beach.
13. Lots of new construction occurring so noise of hammering, loud music, and yelling. While not very obtrusive when we were there, be aware they are about to start directly next door which will block any view of the water (which is very limited as is) and will be quite noisy (we were there until 21 December 2021). Also construction vehicles are all over the narrow road, making entry/exit non trivial.
14. Claw foot tub is a bit of a head fake as the water pressure to it was so low/slow it was unusable. The tub in the bath between BR 2 and the kids room was almost impossible to use to bathe children due to the door configuration.
All in all, these issues were annoyances vs. showstoppers. They're tolerable for a few days. Love being on East Beach. Would I go back to this house? Maybe, but I would verify construction is done on this street at a minimum.
