The villa was beautiful, I’m not sure we’ll ever stay somewhere again with such a phenomenal view, it’s ruined all future holiday villas for us in that respect! The man from Amore rentals who was on hand to help us was great and super friendly. Just a heads up to any future visitors, please make sure you’re in a suitably small vehicle and a confident driver as the drive down to the villa is no joke! I would also have loved some more cleaning products to have been available for us to use in the villa as we didn’t think to buy those ahead, but other than that little nitpick our stay was amazing and I would definitely recommend it.

Most amazing view, quiet majestic location, great landlord

Getting to this oasis is a challenge in several ways-- property mgmt is worthless, do not ask for groceries in advance, and dont go before its very warm outside (no heat in the home or pool). But the home itself is incredible and the owner is a kind and responsive couple. Very good people. We would go again but take motorcycles, not a car! The drive down to the home is treacherous.

Incredible view

The view is incredible and the outdoor setup too. I have to say that it maybe a challenge to get there and go out . The road is very narrow and steep. A small car is a must and you have to be a good driver. Usually when. I rent a villa there is some basic product like salt and pepper , cleaning products etc. It’s not the case and there is no left over by previous customers. I explain to the owner and he seems open to reconsider it. The place is incredible, the view on Capri !!!

Great views but Horrible Road Location

My family was very excited for the last part of our trip to stay in Villa Bacco (saving the best for last), unfortunately it was disappointing. The worse part of this house was the location. My family is from Europe and is intimately familiar and comfortable with the narrow winding roads, but this was the worse we've ever experienced and DEFINITELY not specifically advertised. The road to the house is beyond narrow with 360 degree turns and an extremely steep road just before the property where our car (small compact) lost traction and skidded each time going up/down where we had to inch by inch at a crawl speed and feared we were driving off the cliff. We also made it a point to be back to the house before dark because it was more dangerous with no lighting which cut many hours of our "vacation time" to experience the night life. Pasquale (property owner) was very accommodating and met us at 4:00 AM to put our luggage in his little truck to drive to the top of the hill to reduce the weight in our car so we could make it up the hill. Overall, the house itself was nice. Some of the fixtures (shower head, faucets, broken toilet seat) need replacing from corrosion. We had ants so couldn't keep any food outside of the refrigerator but we took care of them with some cleaning supplies we purchased at Conad. We made the best of what it was.

Bellisimo!

We are a couple with a 1 year old and we visited in low season at the end of March 2019. The villa is every bit as beautiful as seen on the photos. We travelled to various destinations along the Amalfi Coast and can honestly say the view from the villa was the best view we saw. As it was low season and temperatures were lower the pool was not in use. It does say this in the advert however if I could make one recommendation it would be to have the pool in use if it is heated. We use our hot tub at home in England more so in colder months because it is heated. It was not a major issue as we still enjoyed ourselves drinking wine on the patio, taking in the stunning views and enjoying the complete silence. All three of us (including our 1 year old) enjoyed the best sleep due the complete silence. The villa does have a bbq however we did not see any charcoal in any of the local stores we visited. So again this could be an optional extra that could be provided as an added touch. It may be the stores do not stock charcoal at this time of year and we enjoyed cooking inside and found ample pots and pans etc. I just like to provide constructive feedback that may help the owners improve service is all. Location wise, we found the villa perfectly located for the things we wanted to do. It sits somewhere in the middle of Sorrento and Positano. 20 mins to Sorrento and about 40 mins to Positano. As mentioned in other reviews the drive down to the villa from the village road is VERY steep. I actually found it fun but would consider myself a very confident driver. More nervous drivers/passengers may find it difficult. I would recommend hiring as small a car as possible to make it easier but we had a fairly large car and had no issues. It is this drive that gives the villa its perfect location, nestled on the hillside so you can't have one without the other. Pasquale, the concierge, we found to a lovely, charming man and very helpful. He attended the villa early each morning to take away the trash. We never sawheard him, the trash was just taken each day. He was very helpful in booking things for us. He organised our tickets to Capri from a local village which we found very helpful. It was closer than Sorrento and less busy. I recommend this boat trip, which goes around the island and the guided tour of Capri. All in all we had a fantastic time and will definitely return to this exact villa!!

Traumhafte Tage wie im Paradies

Wir hatten eine wundervolle Woche. Die Lage des Hauses ist wunderschön, mit einem einmaligen Blick auf Capri. Wir haben die Zeit auf den verschiedenen Terrassen und am Pool sehr genossen. Ein Paradies !!! Das Haus entspricht genau der Beschreibung. Unser Host Pasquale war unglaublich nett und immer für uns erreichbar.

Incredible views to Capri

Gorgeous property with beautiful gardens, plunge pool and incredible views all day! The location of the property is amazing. It is secluded however only a short drive to the local town and Nerano beach club. You can also access a secluded rocky beach and grotto via a trail from the property... we recommend sneakers for the walk plus snorkle and goggles for the swim. The sunset over Capri each night was amazing and the highlightof this stay. Due to seclusion and price I would expect some basic supplies such as salt, coffee, tea, litchen detergent, toilet paper. I've never stayed in a property where there are absolutely no basic supplies. We have no issue buying these, which we did, however i think this needs to be documented upfront.

Amazing views from a quiet house

We had a lovely few days at the house, Pasquale and his wife were very friendly and welcoming. The views of Capri from the terrace are tremendous. The house is not contemporary, but was comfortable. The access road is not for the faint hearted, though ! Communications were tricky due to mobile coverage and language, but we were helped by the Vrbo office.

Beautiful villa with fantastic views

We had to cut our trip short but we had a lovely few days here. The villa had everything we needed and our host Pasquale was fantastic. He even brought us Easter cake during our stay. He was very helpful and a pleasure to talk to.

Ein wunderbar & toll gelegenes Haus - perfekt für alle, die beeindruckende Landschaften, eine einsame Lage und dennoch einen guten Zugang zur traumhaften Amalfi-Küste suchen! Die Blicke sind phänomenal, man hört quasi nur das Zirpen der Grillen, und die Terrasse zum Relaxen ein Traum. Der Pools ist für eine Abkühlung oder Wasserschlachten mit den Kids wunderbar wer im Meer schwimmen möchte, findet unterhalb des Hauses (ca. 15 Minuten zu Fuß) eine traumhafte Felsbucht. Die Objektbeschreibung und die Photos sind sehr treffend, sodass man sich ein gutes Bild zum Haus machen kann. Grill, Steinofen, Mikrowelle und Außenküche sind vorhanden. Der Vermieter Pasquale ist sehr nett, holt seine Gäste im Ortszentrum ab, ist immer zu erreichen, und kümmert sich und alles. Danke für die schöne Zeit bei euch!

Outstanding view, villa is dated.

View from this villa is incredible. The water heater is small. The villa is rustic. There is not a heater and nights were quite cool. We were not allowed to use the pizza oven. Pool is nice, but was quite cold (we live in Minnesota so are not strangers to swimming in cold water...) My wife developed a cough we think from the fact that there was some mold in the villa. Overall, probably would not stay here again, but if you want a killer view of Capri and don't mind rustic accomodations, it could be great for you. Driving into and out of the villa is not for the timid. The road is steep and very narrow.

Fantastic location if you want to get away from it all.

The villa is in a fantastic location with the most breathtaking views out towards Capri. The villa itself is quite old fashioned and could do with some modernizing, however it was clean and the owners were welcoming and even brought some of their local produce for us to sample which was a lovely touch. The outside area made up for what was lacking inside and we could have spent all our time enjoying the surroundings and the views.
