An amazing werk

Our stay was great.We were there for a week with 9 people.The property is huge, so everyone could find a quiet spot to relax.If you enjoy seclusion, this is the perfect place to stay.The last stretch to the property is a bit challenging, but definitely doable :)The nearest supermarket is about a 15-minute drive away.I highly recommend a trip to Sperlonga – a breathtaking town on a hill right by the coast.Communication with the hosts was excellent at all times.Any questions we had were answered very quickly.We would definitely come back.

Fantastic house, wiew and surrounding nature

The house is impressive with large surfaces, high standard and well maintained. The pool, which is large and solid, is cleaned every week. The animal life around the house is also exciting and in addition to lots of lizards, we also saw scorpions, snakes and wild boars. The very best thing about the house is the large balcony with a view of the beautiful landscape and the sea in the background, incredible! The contact with the hosts was fast and smooth and they answered questions directly via Whatsap. The house is secluded out in nature. There are no shops or restaurants nearby so you are dependent on a car. The road to the house is narrow, steep and the trees grow in over the road. Getting there with a larger vehicle such as a motor home is not recommended. In summary, we were very satisfied with the accommodation and can absolutely recommend it if you are looking for nature, magnificent views, pleasant days in a large beautiful house with a well-kept pool.

Holiday in the hills

We had a wonderful family holiday here. Beautiful, spacious villa in 2 parts with wonderful views of the surrounding hills as well as out to sea. Coming from Rome by car the villa is best accessed by going through Fondi then Itri. The final few kilometres are via a fairly narrow road and then finally along a single track. Itri is the closest town for supplies and that is about a 10 minute drive. It isn’t possible to walk to any local shops. Larger supermarkets are within a 30 minute drive in Fondi and Formia. The villa and grounds are spacious. The pool is tremendous with plenty of loungers, chair, sun umbrellas etc and this meant that often we didn’t need to leave the villa during the day. Any queries we had were answered quickly, especially when we enquired about the ‘wild life’ during the night which turned out to be a family of wild boar! Seems they are a common occurrence in the area - they didn’t cause us any concern. Sperlonga is a beautiful village closer by which is well worth a visit. Rome, Naples and Pompeii are all within a couple of hours driving or alternatively a shorter train journey - we opted for the train which was always reliable. So, all in all a wonderful holiday with the villa providing a lovely base as well as a haven for our family.

My congratulations for the way you have faced the night wild life! they are not so many to remember that they are in the countryside. I think you have really exploited all of tha opportunities offered by Poggio Takuna: the swimming pool vs the crowded beach and the possibility to visit Naples, Pompei and Rome sitting in a confortable train chair. Cadre fort agréable,au milieu des oliviers. Mais aussi des moustiques qu'il ne faut pas oublier. Et des rencontres inattendues , renard, scorpion et sanglier. Belle piscine dommage que la terrasse ne soit pas au niveau de la cuisine.

Bene , bello e con un po’ di pazienza si arriva

La vacanza è stata molto piacevole. La struttura è situata su un alto poggio, da cui si può godere di una splendida veduta una volta arrivati. Tuttavia, raggiungere il luogo richiede un po' di attenzione, specialmente se si viaggia con un furgone a 9 posti, poiché la strada è piuttosto stretta e costeggiata da arbusti che, nel nostro caso, toccavano frequentemente la carrozzeria del veicolo. Tra i punti di forza, oltre al magnifico panorama, vorrei sottolineare la totale assenza di rumori urbani, la bellissima e spaziosa terrazza esterna con gazebo, ideale per mangiare all'aperto anche in gruppo, e una splendida piscina. L'unica nota dolente, di cui eravamo però consapevoli, è la mancanza di aria condizionata, la cui presenza renderebbe il soggiorno a Poggio Takuna perfetto in ogni suo aspetto.

Spacieuse , jardin magnifique

Maison idéal pour la détente , suffisamment d’espace pour une grande famille ou entre amis . Il manque cependant la climatisation même si bcp de ventilateurs sont à disposition. Les repas sur la magnifique terrasse demande de l’organisation ( les cuisines sont un peu loin ) mais fidèle à la description. . Un peu plus d’ustensiles adapté à une cuisines familiale serait bien ..Route d’accès étroites, attention pour les gros véhicules. Maisons et linges très propres . Accueil agréables . Bon contact

bon séjour dans l'ensemble

très bonne villa, manque de grands plats lorsque nous sommes nombreux à manger. Le départ qui doit être effectué avant 10h est un peu tôt, un départ vers 11h aurait été un peu mieux. Dans l'ensemble le séjour a été très agréable et le proprio disponible en cas de besoin Je recommande

La casa era come da descrizione, pulita, e anche la piscina curata. Ben attrezzata la casa. Anche sul posto la signora Luisa,che ci ha ricevuto, gentile e disponibile. Casa immersa nel verde e nel silenzio, a parte le cicale durante il giorno. Serate in terrazza con un cielo tempestato di stelle.. Meraviglioso.

simply magnificent

Despite a short stay we were able to take advantage of all the beauty offered by the Poggio Takuna structure. The Villa is simply magnificent, immersed in the green of its olive trees and the beautiful garden with well-kept lawn. super efficient check-in with the support of the staff. Every internal and external environment has been studied in detail and the cleanliness is excellent. super welcome both the advice for things to do in the surroundings and the basic necessities made available by the property. Really something unexpected and that all travelers always wish they could find. very good! Each room is super-equipped and the beds are super comfortable and extra wide. We left really reluctantly…thanks to Poggio takuna staff and to the owner that is super!

Traumhaftes Haus mit schöner Aussicht

Das Haus ist noch schöner als auf den Fotos! Die Terrasse hat einen weiten und wunderschönen Ausblick, man kann sogar das Meer sehen. Jedes Schlafzimmer hat sein eigenes Bad. Alles war sauber und ordentlich. Das Haus ist zwar nicht klimatisiert, aber es gibt Ventilatoren in den Zimmern. Alle Fenster und Türen sind mit Insektengittern versehen, dadurch konnten wir nachts die Fenster offen lassen, ohne von Mücken aufgefressen zu werden. Itri und Umgebung sind wirklich schön und nicht so touristisch wie die typischen Urlaubsorte. In Gaeta und Sperlonga gibt es traumhafte Strände und auch die Städte selbst laden zu abendlichen Spaziergängen ein. Unsere Ansprechpartner vor Ort waren Paride und Luisa, die uns freundlich empfangen und durch das Haus geführt haben. Paride hat immer schnell geantwortet und war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Insgesamt hatten wir einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt und würden Poggio Takuna auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen!

Heerlijk verblijf, prima huis, perfect zwembad aardige host. Minpunt zijn de bedden. Deze zijn enorm hard en liggen niet lekker.

Mi ha colpito in particolare la Sua notazione sulla disposizione delle camere da letto che definisce "originale": il mio obiettivo, in fase di progettazione, e' stato quello di potermi trovare al risveglio praticamente in mezzo al prato in un abbraccio straordinario con la natura! mi auguro di potervi avere ancora tra i miei ospiti in un prossimo futuro. Luogo incantato

Una bella casa in mezzo agli ulivi e, sempre tra gli ulivi, una vasta terrazza da cui si vede il mare. Gradevolissima piscina e paesaggi suggestivi. Cosa chiedere di più? Consiglio caldamente questo luogo incantato.

Bella location con buon potenziale

Molto bella la struttura, che denota una attenzione del proprietario alla sua realizzazione. Nell'annuncio, pero', non viene segnalato che la villa non e' ad Itri, ma in una contrada vicino Itri, e che per raggiungerla c'e' anche una strada sterrata da percorrere. La piscina e' molto bella e viene pulita due volte a settimana, sebbene non la abbiamo utlizzata molto causa zanzare. La villa e' dotata di tutto e quando abbiamo avuto bisogno di qualcosa il proprietario si e' sempre dimostrato disponibile nel fornirla (anche cambiando immediatamente un televisore). A nostro avviso, pero', dei condizionatori nelle camere da letto sarebbero stati utili durante la nostra permanenza, sebbene per 10gg sui 21gg trascorsi (luglio) non ne avremmo avuto bisogno. Infine, abbiamo trovato i materassi della depandance molto molto duri.

Ringrazio per la meticolosa recensione. Nella descrizione del sito ho scritto: “e….tanta privacy…in campagna panorama…ad Itri, su una collinetta ci sono ,immerse in un uliveto di 100 piante, due strutture in pietra viva…il proprietario ha deciso di affittare a persone amanti della natura……” ed ancora nella storia del proprietario….” Mario che ha curato la realizzazione di questa struttura in un contesto di massima difesa della natura”..ed ancora nelle caratteristiche speciali del sito..”il posto e’ molto naturale e riservato finanche la strada di accesso e’ sterrata in alcuni tratti….non sono mai stati utilizzati diserbanti chimici…..si e’ deciso di limitare l’impatto umano….” descrivendo ed individuando quindi una proprietà’ ovviamente nella campagna di Itri ed un target per gli eventuali ospiti di persone veramente amanti della natura. La casa ,nonostante gli elevati standard qualitativi riscontrati anche da lei, resta una casa di campagna ed e’ di massimo godimento per tutti gli ospiti che cercano la discontinuità rispetto alla vita ed ai rumori della città’: e tanti ospiti negli anni me ne hanno dato pieno atto. Condizionatori ed anticrittogamici eventuali non rispecchiano la ricerca di coloro che amano il contatto con la natura , il verde ed il silenzio. La ringrazio per il riconoscimento della disponibilità’ a soddisfare le numerose richieste di voi ospiti: la sostituzione del televisore ne e’ stato buon testimone. Mi dispiace che i letti della dependance siano risultati molto duri: al riguardo non ho mai ricevuto finora osservazione alcuna , ne’ prima ne’ dopo la sua permanenza. Colgo l’occasione per salutarla cordialmente.

MERAVIGLIA TRA GLI ULIVI!

Podere meraviglioso composto di due case immerso negli ulivi con annessa piscina dotata di ogni confort. Terrazza stupenda con vista sulla vallata sino al mare da cui si vedono le isole pontine nelle giornate più limpide. Le due case sono dotate di tutti gli utensili ed elettrodomestici utili per soddisfare le esigenze anche di un gruppo numeroso come il nostro, composto da otto adulti e sette bambini di età compresa tra i due e i dieci anni. Proprietari attentissimi ad ogni nostra esigenza tramite i disponibili collaboratori presenti in loco. Ottima la posizione, situata a 5 minuti da Itri e 20 minuti da sperlonga e la sua costa con il suo mare limpidissimo. Non vediamo l’ora di organizzarci per tornare!

Good place for holidays

Villa spacieuse et bien agencée, séparée en deux partie. Toutes les fenêtres et baie-vitrées possèdent des moustiquaires ce qui est bien pratique !

Highly recommended

This place is everything you could ask for. The house is huge, every bedroom has its own bathroom and there are two kitchens. The pool area is really nice, surrounded by olive trees. But the best thing is the terrace with an outstanding wiew. Also the host was so helpful with questions, recommendations and helping us get taxis etc. You will need a car, but the small town of Itri and lots of beaches is just a short drive away. Overall a lovely place!

Peaceful and beautiful

We had a wonderful family holiday at Poggio Takuna. The house is spacious with plenty of bathrooms, the pool in particular is fantastic as it is private and surrounded by beautiful countryside. We enjoyed many lovely evenings sitting on the terrace, eating, drinking and talking. The new gas barbecue was a particular favourite. There are a couple of things to take into account: there are a lot of mosquitoes as it is an area with many trees, so come prepared. Also, the approach road to the house is quite rough and narrows. This isn't a problem but is worth knowing beforehand. Paride and Luisa helped us a lot, by bringing extra fans, when our young grandchild was unwell with the heat (it was a very hot period all across Europe) and by giving advice on restaurants etc. All in all, this was a perfect place for a large family group. Dear Bernadette, I thank you very much. I am happy to know that you have enjoyed your vacations at Poggio Takuna. I built this house for myself and I do appreciate it when people approve my design choices. The new gas barbecue idea was based on the fact that some guests had been carrying up to the terrace tables and coal barbecues for having their meals over there. I cannot do very much against mosquitos which are also attracted by pool water. Instead I will try to improve the approach road as much as I can given that It does not belong to me. Stunning place.

Warm welcome given at this stunning venue with far reaching views of hills and sea, among the olive groves. Car needed. Rooms are designed to a very good standard. Pool a bonus. Good for all ages. Great for a large group- plenty of space.Only drawback were the mosquitoes at this time of year.

A very nice place with a lovely pool and a fantastic view.

The house and property is beautiful with a luxurious feeling. Everything is very clean and tidy. We really enjoyed swimming in the pool every morning and sitting next to it in the evenings. The host and his emplyees were very hospitable and friendly wanting all the best for us as guests. The surroundings of the property is beautiful and it's not far to the city of Itri and the city of beautiful Sperlonga by car. Best regards Else and Erik from Norway.

Merveilleux séjour!

Fantastica

Bellissima villa, ottima l'accoglienza, le camere sono pulite e ben arredate, curato anche lo spazio esterno. Si può passare una rilassante giornata a bordo piscina o raggiungere facilmente splendide mete turistiche come Sperlonga e Gaeta. Abbiamo trascorso una settimana fantastica.
