Beautiful, historic home with lots of character. Wonderful covered porch, a great place to gather. Modern kitchen and laundry room. Short walk to Gaines Estate for a wedding and to “downtown “ Fayetteville.

Perfect Stay for Wedding

We were in town for a wedding at the Gaines Estate and this property was right across the road which made it perfect for us! It was exactly as described and absolutely beautiful!

Great place for our family gathering. House was clean and well stocked. Great location. Close to new river gorge national park, restaurants and shopping.

Groomsmen house for wedding

This house was excellent for what we needed it for! We got married at The Gaines Estate and the close proximity was ideal for us! The house met all of our expectations.

Excellent Location Close to a Variety activities

We really enjoyed staying at this location! Really close to downtown, across from a fairly popular bar, with a fantastic restaurant down the road within walking distance. Location had off street parking and was close to various hiking trails around the area. Bill was as excellent host! Would recommend and return!

This house is amazing. I loved the location - almost right across the street from the venue where our son was married. Lots of space and well equipped. I would have given 5 stars all around if not for the mattresses, they definitely need replaced. Would recommend.

Comfortable and Convenient

The home was very comfortable with plenty of room to gather together or just visit one on one. We especially enjoyed the outside areas and the closeness to shopping and restaurants. I highly recommend this home if you have a group of couples and/ or individuals.

Fabulous location, beautiful home

A group of friends stayed here to attend a wedding at the Gaines Estate. The location is prime, with anything in downtown Fayetteville in walking distance (and Pies and Pies right across the street!). We enjoyed time outside on the porch, went shopping around town, and had plenty of space and everything we needed in the house.

Wonderful and Well Equipped

This house was perfect for 10 of us. There was plenty of room to spread out and the kitchen was very well equipped with everything you would need to make meals. The backyard and fire pit were also great. Overall, a very comfortable house that we will definitely come back to!

The property was in excellent condition and in a great location! The historical house has been maintained very well. The space is perfect for multiple families and very comfortable! The property manager was easy to contact and took care of our questions patiently and efficiently.

Amazing home and location to New River Gorge National Park

Six traveling girlfriends had a wonderful time in Fayetteville. We spent days hiking and driving through New River Gorge and even did Bridge Walk. Evenings spent at this wonderful home. Well appointed, had everything we could need. Comfy beds, thick towels and an outdoor fire pit which we used every night. Great location in town and walking distance to all shops and restaurants. Highly recommend!

Wedding Weekend

Our family enjoyed staying here for our daughter’s wedding. The house was very clean and well appointed. Bill was very accommodating, easy to get in touch with and provided us with information about the house and area which was very appreciated. This house is very close to the Gaines Estate and the town of Fayetteville, WV.

Unbeatable Location!

This is the second time our family has stayed at this house. The host are great and very easy to reach. We had a wedding at the Ginza state and this location couldn’t be beat. It was close to the wedding venue as well as all the shops and restaurants Fayetteville has to offer. The house is very clean and well furnished. Highly recommend choosing The McGrath house for your next vacation!

This house was perfect for our stay. The location can't be beat. We were withing walking distance of everything in town and directly across the street from Pies and Pints (delicious!) and walking/biking trails. Even the "far end" of town was an easy walk. It was a short drive to the New River Gorge Visitor Center and Bridge Walk (highly recommended!). Despite being on the main road, the house and property were quiet and peaceful. The house is well stocked, clean, and the size was perfect for our group of 6 and could have easily accommodated more. They layout made it easy to hang out in the kitchen or living room. We think it was even better than it looked in the photos! Check in /out were simple. The host, Bill, was kind, responsive, and easy to work with. After an unfortunate flight delay, he didn't hesitate to approve a last minute request for a late checkout. We highly recommend a stay with Bill and this property. We are already planning our return!
