This property was perfect for a family reunion! So much space without tripping over each other, very clean and family friendly. Large size yard for many outdoor activities when spending time in town winds down. Lynette and Jim were amazing hosts. The property was perfect for hosting our large group of 20 and the kids had the most fun ever. Playing outside on the playsets and with all the bikes and scooters. It was so wonderful to have the beach items supplied and sand toys so we were able to save room in our vehicles while traveling. Communication with Lynette was incredible and she was willing and able to provide any help or additional items we needed. If you have a large group and children to entertain, I 100% recommend her home. Thank you Lynette!

We had a family reunion with 9 children and 8 adults and this property was perfect. The property was the perfect layout for our family. Lots of fun things to do with the kids. South Haven Beach and restaurants are just a short drive away. It’s very quiet and peaceful out at the property. I would love to come back in the future. The hosts have thought of everything to make your extended family get together a huge success.

Our family enjoyed our stay at Jim and Lynnette's. We found the bedrooms provided sufficient space and privacy for our large group. The kitchen was well equipped (I needed NONE of the 'just in case items' I brought along...garlic press, coffee grinder, containers for leftovers, plastic wrap, parchment paper because they were all there!) We loved the benches around the huge dining table because it allowed all of us to eat together. The playground equipment and bicycles/scooters were a favorite for our 11 grandkids aged 9 and under, and kept them occupied for hours each day. The volleyball net hosted several intense games. We utilized the large screen in the living room to watch old family videos by connecting it to our laptop. This was a fantastic place with lots of space and things to do.

Amazing place. Extremely family friendly. We had 6 families 20 plus members and the place had enough beds and facilities for everyone. Our host was very helpful and ensured we had everything we needed. Fhe place has a great location close to beach (1.5 mile), had lot of bikes, nice little wooded fire pit area, a volleyball court, is close to walmart, meijer, aldi etc for emergency supplies. Fully well maintained kitchen with everything you can imagine including plenty of silverware abd water dispenser with an extra can of water. Lynette amazing job managing this location !! Love it . We hope to return soon.

The property was amazing. A ton of comfortable beds, plenty of kitchen supplies, and so many fun activities available. Our group especially loved the basketball court and frisbee golf but there was a ton of other games available too. Location was great too, removed enough from town to feel nice and secluded but still close enough to get downtown very quickly.

Great Stay Close to Lake Mighigan

Our group of 17 adults and 4 kids stayed very comfortably in this rental. It was clean and well stocked with almost everything we needed. Family Oriented

This is a great place for a large group/family getaway. Our group was 15 including two infants. There was plenty of space and lots of extras included such as games, bikes, beach chairs and more. Communication with the owners was also great and they were very responsive to our requests.

Fantastic Weekend Getaway

Great overall experience. We had a group of 12 guys for a weekend getaway. Large kitchen, multiple grills, and everything you need to cook for a large group. Large common area with plenty of seating. Plenty of space to sleep. Tons of yard activities and fireplace. Highly recommend.

Absolutely wonderful

We loved our visit to Michigan. Our house was amazing. Lynette and Jim are the best. The house had absolutely everything. Lynette was available immediately every time we had a question. If we ever make it back to Michigan, we will definitely stay here again!

Wonderful time

Our whole family (12 adults 5 young boys) had a great week. A large, fully stocked kitchen (dishes, appliances small and large) was available to us and a very thoughtful and attentive host. Great location and great host

The location can't be beat. It's closer to downtown. The house had all the amenities that we needed (plus more). The play area for kids is more than a park, they were well entertained. Lynette was an awesome host. She made sure that we had everything we needed and she was always a text away. Definitely recommend for big groups.

Amenities Galore

This property has just about every amenity required. The property is listed as sleeping 30 and the owners have made sure to provide enough of everything to accommodate 30. The property, and its location, is perfect to be close to vineyards, South Haven, and the highway but also private. The owner's communication was also excellent.

Memorial getaway 2023

As a first timer using Vrbo on a vacation plan, our experienced was excellent, very organized placed, very clean, anything you need was accesible although we brought with us all what we need. Amazing home for extended family vacation

This home was perfect for our extended family vacation. We had plenty of space for all 5 nuclear families (10 adults and 7 kids ranging from age 1-14) The older kids loved sleeping in the open basement area. The large kitchen was easy to navigate with all the drawers and cabinets labeled. We enjoyed the peaceful location, and the kids played a ton in the large yard and expansive driveway. If we ever get a large group together in South Haven again, this will be the house we book!

Multi-Generation Family Vacation

Jim and Lynette's property is very well stocked from everything you would need!! She has thought of everything you would need in the kitchen, plenty of towels and toilet paper for the bathrooms and plenty of beach towels, coolers and chairs for trips to the beach!! They have 3 play sets for kids and bike, scooters toys you name it she has it!! Great place to stay for a family vacation!! We would love to stay and Jim and Lynette's place again!!

Lynette was born and raised in South Haven, graduated from LC Mohr High in 1974. I grew up on the property that our house is built on. My husband, Jim, is from Jackson, Michigan and in 1974 we were married and he joined me in South Haven and we raised our two children in South Haven on Center Street and just after our children graduated my husband built our retirement home, that is now a rental. We lived in the house for about three years and then a job opportunity took us about seven miles south of South Haven where we managed a beautiful gated community on Lake Michigan, called Palisades’s Park.
For the 14 years we were away from our house, it sat empty for a few years, our daughter and her husband stayed in it a couple years until they moved to California, my husband’s mother stayed a couple years until she needed more care, and then we decided rather than let it sit empty that we would rent it out during the summer season! We love sharing our beautiful little town!
Our home is just minutes from downtown South Haven and the beaches. This area has always been an ideal location, but when they brought city water and sewer our way, we jumped at the chance to build. My twin sister lives in the house she and I grew up in, which is right in front of our rental divided by a fence.
Our home gives you the best of both worlds in South Haven. You get to enjoy the beaches and all of the shopping you want and at the same time relax away from the hustle and bustle of downtown and enjoy the music of the birds in the morning and evening. Be quiet and you may see our families of deer or the families of wild turkeys. You can walk through the ravine now because Jim just cleared it so our guests can walk in it! Also a ten minute bike ride to the beautiful KalHaven bike trail. Bring bicycles if you can OR rent them in town!

You’re a little bit in the country and a few minutes to the beach. We call that “THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS!
Young children and adults have tons of things to do and we supply everything! Except food!
Come stay at our place and really RELAX! UNLESS you’re a partier and then you’ll want to stay closer to the beach, because our house is NOT a party house! It’s definitely a “family reunion” house! Because family is what it’s all about.
Our house is about 3-4 miles from the famous Gingerman Raceway and about 3/4 mile to the new banquet hall, Black River Barn. We’re also super close to the new family fun spot, Arvesta!

Nice playground for children. Volleyball court set up in yard. Fire pit, we supply the firewood!
So close to everything except the noise of traffic! It’s peaceful here. Very relaxing.
