Well equipped kitchen great big fridge. Plenty of outdoor areas to enjoy the lake views. Single beds were a bit little for 17 year old teen. Couch also not big enough for 4 adults. Great showers

Impressed our overseas visitors

Lovely accomodations with lots of amenities. Only downside was lack of screening on some windows which prevented opening the windows on hot nights and not enough fans to ventilate the bedrooms.

We Want to Go Back!

Wow! Five stars is not enough for the Gemini Lodge. Everything was perfect. Communication with Joe and Cynthia was fantastic, the grounds were immaculate, the lodging was pristine and not only had everything we needed, it had extra touches, too (including a snack basket, teas, Nespresso, extra towels, etc). The only problem was that we didn't stay long enough! If Joe offers you his custom boat ride, take him up on the offer. That was one of our favorite things we did while in NZ. Bottom line: We can't recommend this place enough and we hope we can take another vacation that allows us to stay at Gemini Lodge longer!

We just LOVED this place. GREAT host! GREAT location! GREAT place. We were 2 couples so there was 1 room not used. The place was so clean, kitchen had everything in it. Linens were great GREAT lake view!!! Loved the boat trip. How made the stay just amazing. HIGHLY recommend!

Perfect, cozy home!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon visit to Rotorua and loved this little home! It was close enough to the main city area but still had a private get away feel! The host is amazing and the home was very clean!! We would definitely stay here again!!

Amazing stay on a peaceful, beautiful property

The perfect spot for our first trip to New Zealand! We decided to spend a couple of nights in Rotorua in between our stays in Auckland and Wellington. Not only was Rotorua a beautiful area, but this property was perfect for our family of four. Cynthia and Joe were welcoming, communicative hosts, the chalet was beautiful and the property was stunning. Our only regret was not being able to stay longer. Thank you!!

Beautiful, tranquil, cozy - awesome stay!

This is the cutest house. The setting on the lake inspired many early morning walks to the lake front for pictures of the sunrise, the black swans and other shore birds. The owners have taken a lot of thought and care to make our stay comfortable and peaceful. We were gifted coffee, a bottle of wine, snacks and everything was there to make our trip easy and comfortable. It was a lovely home, in a magical setting that made day trips easy. If you visit the Rotorua area, stay here. You’ll never want to leave.

Moving to Rotorua in July 2017 was an awesome lifestyle change for our family. Having three young kids, 5, 7 and 9, a girl and two boys, it has allowed us to enjoy more outdoor activities like Mountain biking, water activities on the lakes and only a few hours to the ski fields to name just a few.
An absolute change for the better.

8850 sq metres of the lakeside property with impressive Views, Grotto style pool, fountains running into the pool, pool house and entertainment area opening up on to decks that look out onto Lake Rotorua and across to Mokia Island, it is incredible!!
Paradise next to Lake Rotorua where you can launch your water toys, and boat directly off our beach
Firepit for that evening campfire feel with friends, family and kids
Peaceful surroundings that at night are stunningly and quiet and peaceful
Big open flat land that you can play on with everyone or extend that play out onto the reserve
Picnic area with amazing views all located on our property
