Good location, close to beach and most of Port Aransas. The on site outdoor shower comes in handy. Room was clean and cozy.

Perfect for us

This was the perfect place for our family getaway. Clean, close to the beach and plenty of ammenities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Property is affordable and fairly conveniently located. It’s a very no-frills spot, which is reflected in the affordability.There were some definite cleanliness issues and we could have used more towels/washcloths. The kitchen has basic pots and pans and utensils. There were no hot pads. Most places we’ve stayed have had some salt/pepper/kitchen basics, but this doesn’t. Not a deal breaker, but we would have thrown some in if we had known. The property was quiet and felt safe.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our rental was cozy, had most of the items we needed and was comfy and very convenient to our go to places. It was a bit noisier than we are used to but quiet between 10p and 7a. I’d have preferred it be a bit cleaner on check in but the issues were minor. No dishwasher, heads up! We got great value for our money.

You get what you pay for!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We arrived a day early because of a great offer to Check in early! We arrived late in a Thursday evening and it was clean and the air conditioning was perfect! However the stench of marijuana was all I could smell. This was a family trip with my two kids and wasn’t wanting to explain to them what that smell was. I understand you can’t really control what everyone does and Port A is a party place but I’m pretty sure in the signed contract we’re not supposed to smoke anything in the condo. I did call and speak to a rep from Port A Escapes and she offered a decent discount from our stay. She also offer for maintenance to bring in an “ozone machine” but that wouldn’t help fix the smell from the next smoking session. She also offered to move us to another location but we would have to live back the next night due to them being completely full. The beds weren’t horrible but definitely bring your own pillow. We will not stay here again but I will definitely book again with Port A Escapes!

I would stay again

The property was very clean. It felt a little small but we live in a house but it was perfectly fine for me, 2 kids and a dog. The kitchen came with pots/pans, plates, utensils, coffee pot and ice. There’s even a pit on the property. We had a good time.

The condo is if fairly good condition. I was glad to see the old key lock was replaced with a modern keypad lock. Can't really give a review on the management company since I never had any real contact with them.

Clean, and fast response

Had a small minor maintenance issue, and when we called the maintenance guy was there in 5 minutes. The bungalow was really clean well taken care of, and the AC worked awesome in the middle of a heatwave.

Nice little place

Room was great except there was only enough linen for the one queen size bed. We were a family of four which was on the rental agreement. Had to go to town to get more linen for the futon. Other than that it was perfect for us…

I would like to see the old key lock replaced with a modern programmable lock that could be changed for every guest. It was an issue keeping up with a key while at the beach.

In need of rehab

The mattress was so bad, we ended up staying our last night in my daughter's rental property. The dishes were few and there was no dishwasher (even though we were given dishwasher pods). No real incentive to return for the price charged.

It we were happy with the location. The condo was as advertised the only complaint we have is the mattress on the futon was thin and lumpy and uncomfortable the mattress in the bedroom was absolutely wonderful the rental company was extremely helpful when we had a little problem with forgetting my billfold in Minnesota but otherwise we will be back

Although we were texted a door code ahead of time for check in, when we arrived there was nothing to enter a door code for. After calling the management company, they initially did not know why that would be, but it turns out it never had a door code in the first place and required keys (something they should have known since there had been literally staying there before we arrived). When we entered the property, the overall condition of it was not the same as the photos included on the website (tons of rust/water damage, not as much natural lighting). The shades in the bedroom were broken so they could not be opened. The vent in the bathroom didn’t work. And worst of all, there was BLACK MOLD on both of the vents! Would not recommend.

REAKED OF SMOKE

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was fine, staff were very friendly and professional. However, this property REAKED of the smell of cigarette smoke. I am not just talking about maybe the people that stayed before smoked - I am talking about it was like in the walls, and in the carpet itself. It smelled like someone had been smoking inside for decades. It was soo overpowering that it was the first thing you notice when you walk in, the last thing you think about before you sleep, and the first thing you think of when you wake up. It was absolutely disgusting and my husband and child were unable to just relax comfortably. I called to complain and the staff said they would call me back, and never did. The issue was not resolved. Will not be staying at this property again, and would advise against renting it.
