Clean, spacious, and welcoming - the dog loved it too!

family had a delight time celebrating my son’s birthday here. Even our dog kept smiling throughout our stay. The house had everything- a large and well stocked kitchen, a lovely private yard and fire-pit, a washer/dryer, and an easy walk to a fantastic surf beach. Jim was the perfect host- very flexible and accommodating. We appreciated the close proximity to the beach, especially given the limitations of beach parking . We visited off season, and our dog was able to enjoy the beach too.! We found that several restaurants in town had outdoor seating and were also dog friendly. The WiFi at the house was strong and consistent and we were able to work remotely during our stay. We highly recommend and hope to return!

Amazing Montauk retreat!

Stayed for 3 days with a few girlfriends. We were pleasantly surprised at how big the place was! The house was absolutely spotless. Everything was well kept and labeled and we did not need anything! The outside lawn was beautiful. The owner greeted us upon check in and gave a full detailed tour which was a nice touch. Our only regret was the weather not cooperating to enjoy the beautiful well stocked fire pit! Extra points for the outdoor shower! The walk to the beach was super easy and all the supplies were provided. We look forward to going back next summer!

Great Place, Super Host

Great place to stay in Montauk. Best host on VRBO. The place is spotless, beautifully appointed, and very large. Incredibly comfortable and so wonderfully inviting. The yard is gigantic, the outdoor shower is perfect and there seems to be endless hot water. And there is everything in abundance for the beach, chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas. They even had beach hats on hand. And a perfect place to bring our dog. I know she would add a star if she could. Thanks for a great stay.

Excellent Montauk Host

Impressive property. The host has thought of every amenity you can need for your stay. Walking distance to one of the best beaches in town. Close to everything you could want in the town. Very clean and pleasant to deal with.

Great location with huge yard!

We enjoyed staying at James’s place so much! The house is clean, pretty, spacious with great kitchen. Backyard is very well kept and huge. Our kids and dog enjoyed playing at backyard more than going to beach, hiking etc there is a nice outdoor fire pit and we enjoyed making s’more too. Location is excellent tp go out to town or walk to beach & hiking course. Thank you so much for letting us stay at your beautiful place.

Perfect getaway

My friends and I decided to get away for a few days. We found this house and figured it was the perfect location to just unwind and walk the beach. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the warm welcome and genuine hospitality. The cleanliness of the house was impeccable. What truly set this rental apart was the level of detail invested in making our stay comfortable. Thanks to the host's kindness, immaculate cleanliness, and meticulous attention to detail, it was an experience that surpassed all expectations. I cannot recommend this rental highly enough and eagerly look forward to returning in the future.

Great house in Montauk

Immaculate 2 bedrm 1 bath open concept house with large well stocked eatin kitchen on 2 acres. Has large yard with fire pit & deck. Property well kept. Owners live on property & are nice & helpful. Lots of beach toys & chairs available to take to Ditch Plains beach which is a few blocks away. Great find! Stayed 2 nights in late Marck 2024. K Flack

Wonderful weekend

Great home away from home & well set up for families. We had a cozy weekend (some rain, some sun) and thr place was the perfect backdrop for our adventures. Great communication. BBQ. Fire pit. Outdoor shower was amazing! Hope to be back soon

A short stay

The property was nice the price was reasonable. Could use a little more seating in the TV room .i personally prefer lower stools around the kitchen island. But all and all a lovely setting . Thank You James and Fran

Fabulous

This property was spectacular and we absolutely loved the owners, James & Francesca. From the moment we drove up it felt like home. The house was clean, comfortable and spacious and we were afforded every amenity. With the house walking distance to the beach we spent every morning and evening there and finished our nights out by the firepit. It was also a 2 minute drive to town. If you are looking for a place to stay while in Montauk - this is the place.

Awesome stay, awesome location

Jim is a very attentive and accommodating host. He was easy to communicate with and make arrangements for arrival & check out. His home was very clean and tidy, spacious, stocked with beach supplies and a great backyard. Would 100% recommend!

What an amazing unique place

From check in to check out the hosts (James and his wife) were amazing. When I arrived James gave me a walk through of the house and showed me where everything was. And if that wasn’t enough he helped me unload my car, since I had arrived before the rest of my party. When I forgot to bring spices for our steaks, a quick text message and James let me borrow a couple from them so I wouldn’t have to go buy any. The house is amazing, large spacious and a huge back yard. This was perfect as we were traveling with a 10 and 12 year old. There was sports equipment, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, board games and even beach carts. The walk to the beach was 5 to 10 minutes but was a wonderful private beach. Town is about a mile away, really couldn’t be a more perfect location. I would recommend staying with James for any occasion, he is the perfect host!

Incredible hosts, lovely property and great location

My family and I had a wonderful weekend in Montauk at James’s home. Communication was easy and James and his wife went above and beyond to make us comfortable. I couldn’t recommend enough! The house was airy, spacious and impeccably clean. There is everything you need from the well-appointed kitchen, to beach equipment and laundry. The location can’t be beat- just a short walk to Ditch Plains! It was really the hosts that made our stay so great - we had car trouble while we were there and James spent his own personal time helping us try to get it fixed. He and his wife are lovely, kind people.

Great weekend in Ditch Plains

We had a great family weekend in Montauk. Our hosts went above and beyond to cater for us and our kids. They have a gorgeous property that is a 5 min walk from one of the nicest beaches in NY. At the house we enjoyed the BBQ, the fire pit, the huge backyard and the outdoor shower. It was a great stay for our whole family. We can’t wait to book our next stay.

Amazing Stay

James was very helpful and I would recommend any and everyone who is looking to stay on Montauk this place. Family friendly, all the space my family and I could ask for. Great Place!

James had excellent communication from the start. I travelled with my wife, mother-in-law and two year old. He arranged for a highchair and pack and play to be available and made sure we would have access to anything we would need for a toddler. The house was clean and well decorated and the fireplace was ready to go. It's an excellent location. Only 7 mins walk from the beach and a few minutes drive from the Montauk lighthouse. Would definitely stay there again!

Perfect location, perfect house, perfect hosts

This house is perfect for a family looking or a couple looking to spend some time at the beach without having to drive -- Ditch Plains beach is a short walk away and it's close to town, too. The house is exceptionally clean, beautifully decorated, and cozy. It has everything you could think of for a getaway. The friendly and helpful owners have truly thought of everything. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful stay in Ditch Plains!

James and Francesca are wonderful hosts and their property is gorgeous! Highly recommended, especially for young families. When you go to Montauk, you usually have two options: a hotel or a home rental. With young children, it's hard to beat having a whole home to stay in—multiple bedrooms, a fridge, your own space. James has done a wonderful job of creating a home away from home, complete with toys for the little ones, outdoor seating and a firepit, and more. We look forward to staying again in the future!

All that and more…

The experience we had with this location was amazing. Notwithstanding that the write up up is completely accurate but the owners are first class in all ways. Every attention to detail is taken into account and the home makes you feel a part of Ditch Plains. We even walked into an air conditioned home with chocolate bars for s’mores left for the kids. Already thinking about when we come back!!
