Excellent cabin! Great communication. Had very thoughtful amenities! I only gave a 4 star for accuracy of listing, because on the VRBO listing it said all 4 bedrooms had king size beds, and in reality only 2 bedrooms had king size beds, and one bedroom was a queen size and another bedroom had queen bunk beds. This wasn't an issue for us, but the listing should be updated! Except for that everything was awesome!

Beautiful home but very difficult to get to.

We did not find out how high in the mountains it was until right before we left. We had no way of knowing it was a horrible back winding roads and we arrive after dark. There were no lights at the driveway and no clear addresses so we had to get out and walk the streets in the dark trying to find where the driveway was. It is to the left as you’re coming up the hill and tucked back around with gravel. It was hard to get up the driveway and dark. Overall the house is beautiful but lacked proper lighting in the rooms, did not have enough paper supplies like toilet paper and paper towels, the ice machine in the freezer does not work and there were no ice trays, The beds on the lower level need to be replaced. They squeaked horribly and sunk in the middle. And all of the pillows needed to be replaced.Other than that it was great! Although we hated every time we had to leave and come back just because of the windy and steep roads.

We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following: - We're sorry your trip fell short of your expectations in terms of road access. - Guests will have to drive up a mountain road, which to many, is fun and part of the experience. It is paved all the way to our gravel driveway. We do recommend that guests who are unfamiliar with mountain roads arrive during daylight hours. Finally, your check-in instructions list a great little market on the mountain that delivers groceries, supplies, sandwiches, beer, and pizza. - We supply all bed linens, bath, & dish towels, and washcloths. The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, dishes, glassware, silverware, and cutlery. As is customary for vacation rentals, we provide a small starter supply of essentials, including toilet paper, paper towels, hand and dish soap. Guests should judge additional amounts of supplies needed upon arrival to be prepared for the duration of their stay. - Mattress taste is subjective, but we apologize that you were not completely comfortable and we will look into this. - We are happy to address any and all concerns brought to our attention by guests before and during their trips. A True Chalet Cabin Experience with Some Fun Perks

We loved staying at this cabin and found that it really felt like a cabin with its wood decor and bears everywhere. The view from the huge windows was amazing. The pictures on the site don't do this property justice because it is so much better in person. There was a nice wrap-around porch with great views of the mountains and we even saw bears walking by one morning from the balcony. The layout is great with a master bedroom upstairs and three smaller bedrooms downstairs, so it's perfect for grandma and grandpa upstairs and the parents and kids downstairs (or some other division giving everyone privacy). Downstairs there was a pool table and arcade game (which a bunch of different games on it) as well as a hot tub. We used everything and had a blast. The kitchen was great and had all that we needed and all the beds, furniture, and towels were clean and comfortable. The driveway is very steep with gravel and a quick turn off the road (so be sure to drive safely). I would definitely stay here again in this lovely chalet cabin.

A little less than expected

The house interior was nicely decorated and clean. The hot tub had so much chlorine it caused coughing and irritation of our eyes as well as caused red blotches on the skin that lasted 2 days. The next morning we spoke to the property manager who sent someone out who drained and refilled the tub but shut the tub down for the rest of our stay. The coffee pot wouldn’t work the first morning but was replaced later that day. The livingroom TV wouldn’t come on but the bedrooms did work. The balcony was fine during the day but had harsh security lights from adjoining property shining directly at it. Overall the house is pleasant other than the issues we had which most likely don’t happen often.

A Gatlinburg Dream View

We loved our stay in this beautiful cabin. The view of the mountain ranges was breathtaking. The drive up to the cabin was not to far from Gatlinburg and just the right amount of thrill!!! The pool table and arcade were a big hit. Too bad the ping pong table was broken and no net. Hot tub basically unusable because chlorine fumes were breathtaking and totally set of an asthma attack, maybe too much??? Otherwise, we didn’t have time to soak anyway and never made it to the pool.

Bears everywhere 😊

beautiful home !! My family had a wonderful time. Nice hot tub, fantastic view. Many bear sitings. Even on the deck !! This cabin is close to town but you would never know it. Quite beautiful location. I would highly recommend it.

It's clean and convenient to access the famous views. Only thing I want to mention is there is no Shampoo in the baths, we thought it should be default supply.

Views are everything!

We had a great stay. We really didn’t leave the property much since it was the most peaceful environment. We braved Gatlinburg one hot afternoon and quickly retreated to the deck as the crowds were awful. The house was well appointed, and we did have a few bear incidents despite our best intentions to not attract them. There is one that makes the rounds... Overall a great experience.

Celebration

The chalet has amazing views and good location to downtown Gatlinburg. Spacious for a party of six adults. Clean and well supplied kitchen. Enjoyed some time in the hot tub after a long mountain hike.

Overall the cabin was pretty nice. It served its purpose. It seemed clean and well maintained. A small container of coffee and some tea was available, so that was nice. The bedroom and bathroom doors locked, which is a plus! And it was only about 7 minutes from the main strip in Gatlinburg! The driveway is a little hard to get up because it's loose rocks, so just note that and make sure you have a vehicle that can handle it. The dining area was a bit cramped; if you sat against the wall, you could not get out without making someone along the side get up and let you out. I'd recommend a smaller table there. Most of the furniture did not match, so it seemed like it was decorated via a Thrift Store, but I have seen a lot of cabins like that so it's no big deal. The TV in the upstairs bedroom was really small, but it didn't work anyway so I guess it doesn't matter. Also note that you can hear every footstep upstairs when you are downstairs, which is where 3 of the bedrooms are. The hot tub was a nice feature but there was so much chlorine in it that my nose got stuffed up and my eyes watered the entire time. (side note: The cover looked like a bear attacked it! Crazy haha!) Speaking of bears, one got into our car too! It was wild. No damage, just funny to watch. (Nothing was in the car). The pool table and arcade game were really great to have for late night entertainment, and there is a mini fridge down there too for convenience. So there were a couple little things, but it would not deter us from going back.

Overall, it was a nice home. I thought the price was a bit high. The refrigerator was not working. Maintenance brought an extension cord and ran it to another outlet, which temporarily fixed the issue. Evidently there was a problem with the breaker, which was concerned me, as I was there with my family. The driveway was difficult to navigate, even in 4 wheel drive and in nice weather. Would recommend paving at least a portion of it. Hot tub was nice and location was great as it was just a few minutes away from Downtown.

We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following: - We competitively set our rates to be comparable to similar homes in the area. - We noticed the issue with the fridge while we were preparing the home and scheduled a technician to complete the job before your arrival. Because you came three hours before check-in time, we were still resolving the problem. The fridge was running normally again by that evening. - We have two entrances and encourage our guests to use the paved driveway, instead of the gravel one, to reach the home. Nice spacious mountain home

Overall, this is a beautiful place but there were a few things worth mentioning. It is very high up on the mountain so be aware of that in the event that you're expecting snow. The description stated that you could fit 4 vehicles in the drive and we barely fit 2 trucks and 1 midsize SUV, so definitely be aware of that. One of the king size beds downstairs had an extremely hard mattess. We were a little shocked by that because you'd think a vacation home would have comfortable bedding. It is close to town with a decent view. Nice overall.

Awesome house

We stayed over New Years with our adult children and grandchildren. The house was a great fit for everyone to have their own space and we really enjoyed being in the main level with the remainder in the lower level. Very adequately equipped and open floor plan offered a lot of good times. Only negative was the curvy drive there in the dark, daytime is much better. If at all possible, try to arrive before sunset

Great Location, Veiws, and Amenities

Girls trip was definitely a success with this location. We thoroughly enjoyed the wrap around porch view, the hot tub, and community amenities. The beds were a little large for the rooms so they were a little tight but very comfortable! Bathrooms really clean and nice. Amazing kitchen and living room area that was very open. Location is on a very steep hill but worth it for the views! Highly recommend.

Such a cute, cozy cabin. We truly enjoyed it. If you are wanting to see black bears, this is your place. We saw at least 1 every day. Locking your doors is no joke when it comes to them!!

Saw so many bears

Property was just as pictured, spacious, and clean. We used the outdoor fire pit and hot tub with ease. Saw two bears in nearby tree, and they played in side yard outside kitchen window - we all loved the show! Location was close to a little store that had many convenience items and close to town and trails. Really nice. Would stay there again.

Nice property but difficult to access

Overall nice property, great views, clean. Driveway is STEEP & on a sharp curve.

Great for families

We enjoyed our time at the cabin. The view of the Smokies was absolutely amazing. We were able to see wildlife throughout the neighborhood, including bears. The kitchen was well equipped to prepare meals at the cabin. There were 7 of us and the house was very roomy. Our contact for the property was prompt with responses. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is there a few things that need attention. A few of the beds are incredibly uncomfortable. The sliding glass door to the patio does not lock, as other reviews had said. There is a wood board to secure it. This was a great place and we would stay there again.

A great weekend

From a few days prior to our trip until after our checkout the owner was very helpful and communicated things well. The cabin was great and equipped with plenty of kitchen supplies and anything else we needed. Our whole family really enjoyed our stay. No complaints!!
