Family weekend Getaway.

This place is fantastic! Clean, cute, and located in a very convenient part of town Simple and easy check in and out process. This is a great place to stay in Austin with a great host, and I would definitely recommend.

Stylish and clean

I usually don’t ever take my shoes off when staying in a hotel or Airbnb but this place felt like staying at a friend’s place. It really was easy breezy and so far it’s been my best Airbnb experience.

Great Stay in Austin

Enjoyed a pleasant Austin visit and a great part of that enjoyment was due to our stay at this property. Just as pictured. Very clean. Comfortable king sized bed. Conveniently located. Great communication with property owner. Easy check in and check out. If you’re visiting Austin stay here if it’s available.

Cozy Comfort

The neighborhood is OK and the exterior could use some landscaping but the interior was all we expected. It was stylishly appointed, with a well-supplied kitchen and bath. Bedrooms were fine but new mattresses and a couch and LR rug cleaning should be on the owner’s to do list. All in all, it was a good stay and value.

Private, Clean and Roomy

We loved this stay! We had a crowded flight from Dallas, tons of traffic in Dallas and Austin! Our rental car broke down. We finally arrived to this HAVEN! There were 3 of us staying. We had enough space for each of us to take a room for some decompression time. A hotel room wouldn’t have been big enough. We really enjoyed our stay after touring all the sites of Austin. We will be back.

10min from downtown, quiet neighborhood, all the amenities. Fridge/oven in the house, washer/dryer in the garage. A/C thermostat is Google Nest, had to look up manual on internet to change

Great place to stay, needs better TV

The place was amazing and perfect for our trip. We weren't home much, but when we were, the TV wasn't the best. We tried to watch YouTube and Netflix, but the apps on the TV were terrible and didn't connect properly. But that minor thing is my only complaint.

Sketchy Neighborhood

The one good thing about the Matador B is that the pictures do look like the house in real life. The interior wasn't bad. My complaint about the inside was the dust level, especially in the closets. There were clouds of dust on the closet floors which makes you wonder how clean the house really is. My main gripe about this place is the neighborhood. I was very hesitant to even stay there as was worried about our personal safety and our vehicle. There were no parking spaces for us on Saturday. There were 3 cars already parked in the driveway from unit A. There are cars parked all along the street. I emailed management and was advised to park on the grass. I contemplated just getting a hotel and forfeiting the money already spent. I would never stay here again.

Our units are professionally cleaned after each guest; and had you alerted us to any dust that was bothering you in the closet we would have sent someone out for a touch up clean. The residential neighborhood is comprised of awesome families and neighbors. :) Best wishes!!

Nice stay - just 2 items the management company might consider

We enjoyed our stay very much. It was close to where my granddaughter and her partner live so the proximity was very helpful. The unit was clean and well stocked and had plenty of room to easily accommodate my son, my adult grandson and me, as well as visitors who dropped by during our stay. All communication with the owner and the management company was clear and helpful including the guides. There were only two concerns we experienced during our stay. One was that the back door locked upon being closed from the outside and required an access code to re-enter. We requested the access code for the back door from the management company and were told that they preferred us to enter via the front door. The problem was that if you go out the back door to the patio, you can’t get back in because the gate to leave the backyard (in order to re-enter through the front door) is locked. We were glad that someone had stayed in the house and was able to open the door from the inside, which prevented us from being locked out the first time we went outside. Whenever we accessed the backyard after that we were required to leave the door ajar in order to re-enter. The other concern is that the thermostat was locked at 68 degrees. This may have been OK had the temperatures outside stayed relatively warm but with the cooler temperatures accompanying the snow the house was quite chilly. In fact I wore 3 layers of clothing during our 5 day stay.

Not what I expected

The property seemed a lot better online. Every bed was uncomfortable and hard to sleep on. The queen was squeeky and not the greatest. The king felt like it was sinking in all night long. Not enjoyable at all for a vacation rental. The sofa bed was extremely hard to put in and out. We went to go grab the mattress cushion in the closet and found a HUGE roach on it. After that, I was ready to leave. The neighbors have a rooster that would nonstop go off throughout the day and early morning. Parking wasn't the greatest but we just parked on the street and it was fine. We barely understood how to use the thermostat and I called to see if we could get some help but no answer. It was set to a heat setting... It's 90 degrees outside. The bathroom wasn't the cleanest either. Honestly, not worth it. The instructions before leaving were even more head-scratching. Asking us to do this and that, even after paying a cleaning fee? Did not make sense to us.

We did not hear of any of these issues you had during your stay Alysha, otherwise we would have helped! We usually get great compliments on our beds; and the instructions are very clear on the house manual. Additionally, cleaning fees are expected for every stay in an airbnb, hotel and motel. Not sure how to review this :/

Starting with positive. Parking was easy, checkin was easy, cute set up, clean linens, warm water, WiFi worked, stuff worked. On the eh —- kinda creepy, bugs n a little beat up n smelled like pot. Greeted by a half smoked cigarette outfront on a very worn doormat. Came in and place looks cute, but as I walked around has holes in some walls, scratches on paint down the walls, crooked pictures, and smelly fridge, also smelled of pot. I took pictures of one of the roaches - there were little worms that came in too - like caterpillar ones. Communication was polite but not always attentive and had a strange request mid trip from own via text (which was find but it was odd) and an unsmoked cigarette showed up under the television one day by the locked closet they have. It was just very odd. I don’t miss stuff like that in a walk around n watching tv the first night. Neighbors have a dog that cries when they are away and it heard me come home each evening and stopped when I was quiet but made noise when I’d make dinner or be on phone. Wasn’t sure where trash cans were until trash day - so brought two up and guessed garage and used those. It was just wierd. I felt like someone was in n out of the space when I’d leave - I don’t know. Not sure how to rate this one. I’m not offended but probably won’t be back. Just gut feeling was not good. They were nice to me. It was wierd.
