Relax and enjoy this beautiful, oceanfront 4 bedroom 4 bath private home. Views of the Atlantic can be seen from the large screened porch and master bedroom deck. Enjoy the private gated community’s large ocean front pool complex. Beach access path is located a short walk down the street.

30 Ocean Point is a well-appointed home with rich, wood floors, and coastal décor. The first floor offers a large living area with comfortable seating and dining area with full service wet bar. A large HD TV with sound bar is located above the fireplace mantle. The screened porch is accessed off the living room with outdoor seating and a dining table for those late summer dinners. You will love the well-equipped kitchen with granite counter tops and peak through to dining room and great room. Perfect for a quick view out to the ocean as you make your morning coffee. A queen bedroom is located on this level with an on suite bath.

The second floor features two guest rooms and master suite. The spacious west guest room has a queen bed, sitting area and on suite full bath. The second bedroom is perfect for the kids with 2 twin beds and full bath. Relax in the master suite with king bed and lovely views of the Atlantic Ocean. The master bath features a jetted tub, separate tiled shower and double sink vanity. The open deck off the master bedroom overlooks the community pool, the Links golf course, and the ocean beyond. Laundry area is also located on this level.

Access to the private pool complex is right out your back door. You can watch the kids swim from the screened in porch! The beach access is a few minutes’ walk down the street, and is located in a secluded part of the resort. The home offers Linens, Wi-Fi and cable TV services. No smoking. No pets. **Motor homes, trailers, boats, golf carts, and motorcycles are not allowed within the gates of Wild Dunes**

Rentals are stocked with small ‘starter packs’ that include: toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, soap, dishwashing soap, and dishwasher detergent.

Reviewer Comments: Ocean Point 30 is a fabulous property. it is on a very quiet street and the exterior and interior spaces are very well designed and furnished. you could see that the owners care for their property by the quality of furnishings and the many flowers and landscaping. beach and pool were easily accessible. only two distractions were the tree line between the house and beach which blocked about half the view of the ocean (but just sitting on the deck and screened porch (before 8 and after 5)and listening made up for that), and unfortunately there was construction every day 8-5 on an adjacent property which made daytime deck/porch activity minimal(both from visual and sound intrusion). construction won't last forever, and we will highly recommend this lovely property. also, we recommend driving down the backside of the island on Waterway (left at the Methodist Church instead of right)because it is more scenic and less traffic than Palmetto Dr.

Okay beach house experience

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the second time we have stayed in this house, 4 adults, 2 children. It was roomy and comfortable in the living spaces. The screened porch was nice. It really isn’t beach front, just obstructed water view at quite a distance from both levels. The beds were comfortable, but the linens were worn and obviously old and washed out. The towels were white and fluffy, but strictly rationed - one of each washcloth, bath and hand towel per guest. Only one kitchen towel and dishcloth was provided with a small sponge. The house was not terribly clean, dust bunnies and a sloppy kitchen smeary wipe down on appliances and counters. The white woodwork needs a wash. The porches had not been cleaned, we were left with a cigarette butt filled soda can, half filled dirty coffee mug, filthy sandy table and crab claws and other trash on the first level. The second level was not tidy and hadn’t been cleaned, same with the basement garage entry. We cleaned it ourselves, as we did not feel like dealing with cleaning people. The kitchen is spacious with adequate dishes and utensils. Bring your own salt shaker. Extra garbage bags and dishwasher detergent are not provided - another annoying item in a pricy rental.The beach and neighborhood was private and lovely. The beach is a little bit of a walk, but pleasant. We had the beach mostly to ourselves. The water is warm and the waves gentle. We did have a problem with jellyfish stings. There are deer in the evenings to watch. The pool is directly below the house and very clean and nice. It closes early enough to never be an issue at night, and wasn’t ever a problem. People were all very respectful and quiet in the pool area, beach and neighborhood.I gave this house excellent reviews last year and am sad not to do so this year. A little attention to details could have made all the difference.

Another GREAT Wild Dunes vacation

The location in Wild Dunes was by far the most beautiful and enjoyable out of the numerous different locations we have stayed within the community over 20 years. The home is georgeous, steps from the pool and beach. The beach area is private, quiet and perfect for shell collecting. We even had a few deer in the neighboring yards that the whole family enjoyed watching from the screened porch. Our vacation included renting bikes, banana boat ride, trips to Charleston and many good meals. We will certainly return to this property again. The house is beautifully furnished and decorated and was very comfortable. The bedding is comfortable in all rooms. The only thing missing was a barbecue grill, the first time one wasn’t in a beach rental and required some adjustments to our meal plans. It really isn’t “ocean front” the ocean being mostly obstructed by foliage and about a block away as the crow flies. The view is better from the 2nd balcony that was lovely and shaded in the evening. Yes, it is a bit of a walk, I’d guess about a block to the turnoff and then a block to the beach. It is a pleasant walk, and if you bring a cart or wagon not a big deal. None of us had any problems with it and it certainly wouldn’t stop us from renting this lovely home again. The proximity to the pool was nice for the children. The pool hours are limited, so noise wasn’t ever an issue from any area.The beach is beautiful, clean and very private. When compared to California beaches, where people are stacked liked row upon row of sardines, the room to stretch out, play and fish with no one even close by was great. The water is very warm. Evening was particularly special with gorgeous sunsets. For the first time, we did have a jellyfish encounter, as did others on the beach on other days, but the grandchildren are troopers and we quickly treated them. They were back in the ocean the next day.Overall, I highly recommend this home. It is quiet and peaceful, comfortable and charming.

Last minute lifesaver

Thank goodness we found this place; one of the nicest we have rented in our 20 years going to Wild Dunes. We were still able to drive our beach gear to the Wild Dunes pavillion beach and park in the garage under the condos for free, and it worked out nicely. Perfect week!

Trust the description for the most part but I'll try to fill in some blanks. The main level porch offers angled views of the ocean a few hundred yards away (thick trees and undergrowth block your straight ahead view and access of the ocean and of the golf course that separates you from the ocean. The master bedroom sundeck does offer very nice views. Don't believe any map or office info that tells you beach access is only 10 houses down (that one is only a pool access)... The beach access is more like double that and then 200 yards to water. There was a cart in the garage (although one wheel was damaged) that still rolled fairly well, and that helped (uphill coming back from beach). The pool view is nice but gate closest to the house has been permanently closed so you must walk to the other end. We had to get a different fob to enter that gate because the office seemed to have no knowledge of this. We noticed a few other people having problems with the pool gate too. The description fails to inform you that the coffee maker is a single cup Keurig. I'm fairly tech savvy, and even Googled an owner's manual, but we could never get the refrigerator icemaker to work. The rental office will be no help on this, so I hope the owners will add an instruction sheet. There is a cooler fridge beneath the wet bar that has a great icemaker. Electric stovetop if that matters to you. The AC will cool to 73 at best but you will freeze the coils if you attempt a lower setting *the house instructions dictate this setting for that reason).. If you require a 71 degree temp, trust me when I say "find another property." The owners or management aren't interested in finding a solution for this. The mattresses and linens are average but not premium standard by any means. Otherwise this is a spectacular property, and I mean that. We still had a great time and, although my details sound negative, this property has many pluses.

IOP Beach vacation

The kitchen was well stocked with all the necessities for cooking. We loved the home décor and the property was very clean. The 2 porches were so nice to sit on and overlooks the pool. With having an infant it was a bit of a walk to the beach. We brought a wagon since I knew from other reviews the distance to the beach. The air conditioner did stop working on the lower level the last few nights of our trip. We called the realty company and they sent someone out within a couple of hours and brought in portable units for the remainder of our stay. We enjoyed visiting Charleston, its an easy drive from IOP. The guys played golf onsite and enjoyed the beautiful golf course. Some of the restaurants were only doing takeout due to coronavirus so took some planning each night but we enjoyed the Acme Lowcountry Kitchen, Poe's Tavern and Long Island café were a few of our favorites.

The home over looks the pool which takes less than a minute to walk to. The beach access is approximately 10 homes down the street. We vacationed with two kids (3yr and 1yr). The walk to the beach was not a problem for our 3yr old but our 1yr old needed a stroller at times.

The home is beautifully decorated and was an excellent size and fit for our family of grandparents, parents, and 4 teens. The beds are a little hard for our taste, but we managed. It was a long walk to the beach, but our boys enjoyed fishing and catching baby sharks every day. The girls enjoyed the pool and riding bikes. The grandparents enjoyed the porches and taking it easy. Only real complaint is that the TVs were impossible to turn on and the porches needed a good cleaning. The inside was very clean and well taken care of.

Pure Perfection - Ocean View, Beach privacy, Pool escape

With that being said, my sister and I took Mom for a vacation on the beach. As we walked through the home Mom's eyes weld up with tears. It truly was breath-taking throughout. She was overjoyed as were we. Perfect location for our needs. All the comments were spot on. As suggested, the Pool is right out the front {back} deck with visibility. Ocean visibility too was spot on through the horizon. The walk to the beach was quite a few steps but this was outlined prior to our arrival and it was the perfect exercise for morning strolls as well as crab/awesome night hikes on the shore. The home, was almost too gorgeous for our family with 4 kids (little nervous with all the nick-knacks, but they made it so homey. I loved the family photos too. They added that touch of personalization which in my mind says respect our home, please, in a kind generous way). The master bath was a huge HIT! Shower heads of all heights accommodated all and was used by all. The gorgeous tub allowed several soaks of relaxation with some the option of TV, in the BATH?! The home has so much to offer. If it rains you are still guaranteed plenty of fun inside the home. TV was SMART so we were able to use our Hulu and Netflix logins. Large round dining table perfect for group games, LRC. Well equipped kitchen and even a bar area with additional ice that was so needed.The walk's on the beach were grand. Shells and more Shells, we found Sand Dollars on the ocean floor at about waist height, to Welks of all sizes under our feet. The Olive Shell was plentiful and we snagged quite a few for our treasure boxes. So, I am so very thankful to the owners of this home for allowing us to stay and be together in memory of DAD. There were a few issues, screen door falling apart, dryer heating element not working, ice maker in refrigerator not working, dishwasher not mounted in place and garage door needs lubricating. It is NOT a short walk to the beach from this house, should not be advertised as such. The staff came through for us retrieving something very important that we left at the house.

Lovely Home..

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 30 Ocean Point is a beautiful home. The kitchen was well equipped and the bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable. We loved the screened-in porch, upper balcony and the close proximity to the pool. Our experience with the rental agency was excellent. The only two issues that I'd mention is the dishwasher was not secured into the cabinet and the racks were broken. Also, the beach access is a hike from 30 Ocean Point. We didn't have small children so it didn't really impact us, but it would be nice if an additional beach access was added at the other end of the development.

Great Stay

Everything worked inside the home and was easy to use. We did limited cooking inside the kitchen, and had plenty of pots/pans/utensils to use. Beds slept great, Bathrooms were nice, A/C worked great. Nice home. The pool was very close to the house, and the beach was a short 5 min walk away. The views of the ocean are just ok, you have to look around some trees and around the corner.. Can only see if from the second story... This didn't make much difference to us.. .
