Fabulous Florence

This lovely place was perfect for the 3 of us. The apartment itself just oozes charm and ambience, from the exposed wood beams in the ceiling, the antique furniture, down to the fantastic and lively Piazza Santo di Spirito below the main windows. This place is within easy walking distance to all the main attractions, but in an authentic and chill neighborhood just across the river from the crazy hustle and bustle of the city center. The host was gracious and helpful, and we would love to come back and stay here again! Highly recommended.

Wonderful apartment stay

The apartment is in a great location, close to bars & restaurants. Lots of steps up but needed after all the food we’ve eaten! Very clean, beautifully decorated and easy to find.

Wonderful Piazza Santo Spirito

This property was exactly what we were looking for in the Oltrarno neighborhood for our eleven day stay. The accommodations were perfect for the two of us and would be comfortable for four people considering the smaller second bedroom. The kitchen, although small, had enough storage and was well equipped to prepare meals. The living area with two couches was very comfortable. Piazza Santo Spirito is a lively area and the sound of the evening activities was welcoming to us. The neighborhood has many restaurants and all of the famous tourist areas are easily reached within a short walk. The 34 stairs leading to the second floor apartment could be considered a negative to some. We loved our stay here and look forward to returning to this great property for another extended visit.

Comfortable, well fournished, well located, clean. We had a wonderful stay, with everything we needed (even books, cards and a puzzle!). The kitchen has everything you need to cook. I definitely recommend it and would return.

Apartment was as pictured. It was very clean and the host was responsive. The piazza is a great location for fun, food, markets, etc. but that also means it noisy at night. Overall it was a great stay.

Schöne Wohnung mit Musik

Das Wohnzimmer der Ferienwohnung ist sehr schön. Das war eine positive Überraschung. Dass ein Schlafzimmer ohne Fenster ist und das andere nur eins zum Schacht, war weniger schön. Sehr gestört hat die Musik aus dem Erdgeschoss.Offenbar hat der Gastwirt die Musik extra laut gestellt, damit man sie draußen auf dem Platz hört. Sie endete erst zwischen 0.30 und 2.00 Uhr.

INADEQUATE AIR CONDITIONING

Overall, this property is charming and in a great location. However, there were only two small portable air conditioners - one in the living room and one in the master bedroom. Not only does the second bedroom have no air-conditioning, there isn’t even an electric outlet where you could plug in a fan. I asked for one and was told no for that very reason. Bottom line is the second bedroom will be useless in warm weather. There isn’t even a window to open.

A Florence Gem

The apartment is located in such a great location. The piazza is vibrant and full of places to eat or just get an espresso or cappuccino. Grocery shopping is just a few blocks away and every morning there are fresh fruit and vegetable stands set up by 8:30 am. The apartment is very spacious and quiet, located on the second floor (there isn’t an elevator). The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots, pans, etc. that you could definitely make any meal easily. The apartment is about a 20 minute walk to the Santa Maria Novella train station so really easy to get anywhere you want. We would definitely stay here again!

Charmed by Santo Spirito

The apartment decor is warm, classic and full of art. It was exquisite! The location above the market and next to the church was perfect. It is within walking distance of many shops, eateries and so many monuments. Something beautiful is to be found in whatever direction you Rome. Highly recommend.

Comfortable Quarters, Great Location

Santo Spirito was a terrific place to stay, both the apartment and the location. The apartment was spacious and comfortable and the kitchen quite functional. We could look out at the church plaza every day and see food and other vendors and hundreds of people enjoying the many cafes and restaurants there. (This might be a bit noisy in warmer weather with the windows open.) The apartment is a five-minute walk from the Pitti Palace and Ponte Vechhio, a 10 minutes from the Uffizi. The only negatives were dim lightbulbs and, perhaps, the need for a bit cleaner floors.

Lively Piazza Living

Beautiful property and location. Piazza Santo Spirito is active both during the day and especially after dark! The main room and small bedroom were very loud all night long every night we stayed. It would be wonderful for someone who wants to enjoy the night life.

Wonderful apartment on the Santo Spirito square, in the Oltrarno.

Right on the square with a daily farmer’s market at your doorstep. Quite large apartment with two bedrooms, well appointed kitchen, separate dining area, and living room with two sofas. Plenty of hot water and big, fluffy towels. Pictures on the VRBO website are accurate. 15-20 minute walk to SMN train station and 10 minute walk to Ponte Vecchio. Excellent communication with, Egla, the property manager.
