Fun Place to Stay in Mission Beach

The property is comfortable and perfect for large groups. Close to all sorts of activities. We enjoyed our stay and would come back again.

Perfect Place for Our Family!

We had 3 families stay, so each had their own floor and bathroom. The property was very nice and clean and in the best location! I would stay again in a heartbeat!

Great location with lots of space

We had a great stay at this property! It’s located in an awesome location with lots of spots walkable. We found the living area/kitchen to be even more spacious in the photos. We would stay again!

Great size for large groups

It was a great size for large groups, perfect for people who don’t mind sharing beds and sleeping in close quarters. Great access to mission beach and pacific beach.

Perfect home for big family

Check in process was smooth. Home was perfect for my big family of 20 including children, teens, and babies. We slept comfortable and the home had everything we needed.

Great location, convenient to the center of Mission Beach

Easy check in, great location with easy access to all things Mission Beach, just a few blocks from the ocean and all of the fun things about Mission Beach, such as the shops and the amusement park. The larger upper bedroom that sleeps a bigger amount of the group was great for the teens. We will be back!

Mission Beach Get-Away

Our family enjoyed our stay at this beach property. Check-in was easy, and the host was quickly responsive to questions. Having three levels, each with its own bedroom and bath was a good arrangement for our multiple-family visit. Short, easy walking to beach and bay trails was a plus. If you visit, it's best to bring smaller vehicles, as the parking spaces are tight (no large SUVs!) Although the roller coaster is close by, noise was not an issue. Overall, a very pleasant place to spend a winter break.

Family trip at Mission Beach

The home is very nice and comfortable with the exception on a hot day of 90 deg we had trouble cooling down. The kitchen was convenient the 3 baths were great for all of us staying on 3 floors. The garage is a tight fit but convenient to enter the house. The beach is 5 minutes away and food is close by. The TV, refrigerator, coffee maker all worked fine. The hose by the entrance door was nice.

Great location for family stay

Family vacation with 5 adults, two kids under 5 and a dog. Great location with walking access to mission beach, mission bay, and some great local playgrounds. House had all the amenities we needed and was clean. We had a small issue with someone was occupying the given space who we initially thought was the cleaner since we arrived a little early but even after the cleaner left, the car was still there. We weren’t sure what do as we had already reached out to the property managers but the situation eventually resolved when the person left. Other than that, we had a great remainder of the stay and would stay again.

Family trip

The website does not differentiate that this unit does not have a front yard to hang out in. It had a 5 x10 foot balcony with a grill to bbq on. The walking distance to the beach was ok. It was close to a number of restaurants as well. The parking was barely acceptable with garage space you could barely fit a full size suv in. The other parking space was almost impossible to park a car in as the unit next door had a space next to this one and if both cars were there you could barely open the car door to get out of the car.

Location

House is has you see in the pictures! Different sofas but theirs is plenty of room to spread out here! I will say it has a lot of steps if that’s an issue for people. There is a master on the very bottom level when you walk in. Followed by two sets up stairs to the main level with a bedroom an a common bathroom. A the loft area was great with 3 queen beds up there a yes there is a door! The beds were comfortable. We loved the location one minute walk to Belmont park a plant of restaurants! I recommend the Olive Cafe lots of breakfast choices! Only slight downside is parking we had a suburban an it was very tight. We were okay cause no one was staying next to us. But it does have a garage which is nice. Two parking spot total which for that area looks to be rare! We stayed in January so it was pretty quiet. I bet in the summer it’s prime location for plenty of fun outside activities. Would definitely stay there again!

Great location!

My family & I stayed for a quick 4 night getaway to Mission Beach and had a great time. The property was exactly as described & in a great location between the bay and beach and a short walk to each, as well as a short walk to restaurants, coffee, and Belmont Park. The check out process was very simple & easy, which was much appreciated. All the amenities were as listed. The three-story home had more than enough room for our party of 5. There’s no central AC but there are fans in the first and second-floor bedrooms and a portable AC unit in the third-floor bedroom. If you’re looking for a very quiet or secluded rental, this might not be the place for you. With the windows open, we could hear the neighbors off and on until quiet hours at 10 pm and the people screaming on the roller coaster until 11 pm. The noise usually wasn’t very loud & didn’t last long though, so it didn’t bother us. In my opinion, the trade off for the convenient location is well worth it. We weren’t expecting Mission Beach to be quiet during summer anyway. Great value for Mission Beach/PB—would definitely recommend!

So good with a few suggestions...

Overall it was great! We had trouble figuring out how to get to the parking area but eventually after a walk, we did. It would be nice to be allowed to check in a bit earlier. There is a front rental and a back rental, Isthmus 819 and 817. We thought we rented the VRBO w/ the outdoor living area but I guess we were confused. 3 sets of adults reviewing the listing were also confused. The weather wasn't great for sitting out on the patio so it worked out ok but I probably would have gone with one of the other listings had I realized there was no view and no outdoor space. Having that said, the indoor living space was nice. It did have a small outdoor balcony off the front room to sit and smoke or BBQ, but again, no view. I wish the photos in the listing were more accurate, specifying which photo belonged to 817 or 819 and how one listing has great outdoor space but not the other. Also, fyi it may be time to update the beach equipment - a nice bonus to have any of it, really. We had fun. Plenty to do within walking distance and we slept great. Thanks again! Fun note, I'm pretty sure my grandchildren chose the rental because of the modern beachy pops of color throughout the house so...great selling technique!!

Good Location

This house is a great location. Between a bay and a beach. Belmont Park just on the corner. Pros: -Great Location! -Baby gate, highchair, and other baby/toddler items available in the rental. -Easy to walk to nearby food/shops. -Dishwasher, clothing washer/dryer, gas range. -Great water pressure. Cons: -NO CENTRAL AC! -The house furniture is different than in the photos, throws you for a loops thinking the house is different. -The exhaust fan in the upstairs bathroom had dust/mildew on the vent as did the heating air return vent. -The toilet seat in the upstairs bathroom was wobbly like it is about to fall off. -Some of the knives in the block we're dull/bent made it difficult to prep food. -While there are 2 in parking spaces, trying to park 2 small/midsize SUVs proved a challenge.

Great location

We had 16 stay at this location and sleeping was a little tight but manageable. It was a warm week in San Diego and the bottom 2 floors do not have AC, only the 3rd floor so keep that in mind. Location was great with tons of things to do in walking distance.

Central location, nice stay!

We stayed a week at this rental. Everything was easy and the home came with lots of beach supplies. The place looks just like pictures and has the correct beds. Very central for a touristy good time with loads of options for everyone in the family to enjoy.

Beautiful home and amazing location

This property was an amazing location! Close to restaurants, bars, and the boardwalk. However, One of the room descriptions is not correct and there was only one bed instead of two. Also there were no fold out couches. They were also out of propane so we had to make other dinner plans.
