Fabulous Balconies

Nice floor plan with comfortable king bedroom with ensuite bath. Comfortable furnishings. Enjoyed the corner unit balconies overlooking beautiful beach. Kitchen had all that was needed for cooking meals. Excellent nearby restaurants.

Amazing view and sunsets

Beautiful condo with amazing views. Very well appointed with everything you could need. Well stocked kitchen, cooler, pool toys. Lovely property and pools. Covered parking. Great communication with host and fairly easy check in. She met us with the keys. Easy drop off of keys on way to the airport. The only issue was the bed. It is a hard as a rock. There is an egg crate you can add but, it really doesn't help. And the sheets were scratchy and old. Thin towels. For a luxury condo I expect a little more. A comfortable bed and quality linen.

Amazing views, cold AC, nice condo.

Great condo. Fees for arriving after hours. Condo needs a safe. Ice cold AC. Well furnished with beach chairs and a cooler. Kitchen was well stocked. Nice washer and dryer. Plenty of towels, soaps, trash bags, paper goods. Was surprised most trees and ground cover dead in the dry season. Master bathroom tub is not easy to use- high off the ground and quite a step to enter with no handrails. Second bathroom has a walk in shower that was divine. Howler monkeys woke us one morning, awesome to see them eating. Rough, steep road to arrive. Condos were quiet- never saw other guests. Property managers were very responsive via text. Spacious. Short drive to Brasilito down the hill. Can drive on the beach. Lovely staff keeps condo grounds immaculate. Felt safe with on site night guard. Steps to pool very steep. Porches off both bedrooms with ocean and marina views. Very nice condo, you will not be disappointed.

Million dollar view

We enjoyed staying at this property and it’s our first time in the Playa Flamingo area. The condo was very nice however it was extremely windy and it rattled the patio doors so much it would keep us up at night. We just recommend to the owner that this probably needs to be addressed in the future. Other than that issue, it was a very nice stay

The view is breath taking. Condo was clean and had everything we needed for our week long get away. We will return even though we have a beautiful home on the beach in negra this will be our get away. Close to Conchel golf restaurants beaches. Pura Vida.

Absolutely perfect!!!!

Condo is in a perfect location to everything. Condo has everything you need, we wished it had a grill on the balcony, as we cooked every dinner in the condo. Pools are great, amazing people in other condos. We will definitely be back!!

Beautiful ocean view!

The condo is very welcoming and clean. The outdoor patio area is the place to be with comfortable and ample outdoor furniture and a view of the ocean that is amazing. The condo is well stocked with everything you need for the beach. The beds and couches are very comfortable. The property manager communicated very well and in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend this property.

Playa Flamingo Towers - Sweeping ocean views, unforgettable sunsets

The management staff was very friendly and helpful getting us checked in, and full of suggestions for activities and restaurants in the area to visit. It is around a 5 or 10 minute drive to the beach, which makes it quite quiet. The condo was very clean, kitchen was well stocked and the wifi worked great. Our best time spent at the condo was early morning coffee and breakfasts on the patio while enjoying the sweeping ocean views. Cocktails in the evening on the patio watching the sunset. Overall good experience.

Absolutely fantastic

Couldn't be happier with our decision to stay here. Wonderful condo, well appointed, with stunning views of the Pacific. Very large balcony facing the ocean, and another on the opposite side facing the hills. All the amenities were ample (towels, dishes, coolers, body-boards). Nice to have toaster, coffee maker, and washer and dryer available at any time. Though you shouldn't be in the condo a lot, WIFI was terrific. Central air provided comfort at night. Location is great with plenty of options close by in either direction. Tons of dining options within ten minutes. Many local grocery stores (not "American" in size, but enough options to stay happy). Property is isolated enough at the top of a hill that you would rarely hear a car/four-wheeler/motorbike, unless you are sitting on the balcony facing the hills. If you want to venture to Tamarindo (which we found to be somewhat of a waste) it's less than 45 minutes away. While you may be able to walk to the beach (Brasilito), we took the car (less than five minute drive down the hill). Multiple great beach options within 10m (Conchal, Flamingo Beach) and Playa Grande (big waves) is about 20m away. If the beach isn't your thing, there are two on-property pools to choose from. Parking is covered, "below" the building. Access to the fourth floor property is available via elevator or stairs. The only potential concern some may have would be security. I believe the listing stated security on site, and while there is a security booth, we never saw a guard during our six day stay. That being said, we NEVER felt unsafe, the property is in a great area, with no evidence to be concerned for personal safety. But if you're expecting a gated property, this isn't it. We loved our time here (2nd visit to CR), and we will absolutely rent this condo (or another in the property) again. Not sure how anyone could be disappointed with their decision to rent this unit.

Views were amazing.

We loved the location of the condo. The master bed was very comfortable. We used our unit as a place to sleep. There wasn’t much effort put forward to show the owners are aware of what people might need and enjoy. It felt like an adequate rental instead of a ocrean front paradise. The coffee cups didn’t match and had a winter pine / Christmas design instead of a cute beach theme. Some of the dishes were dirty. No beach towels or beach chairs or hairdryer. Old magazines for light cooking instead of trip ideas for CR We just didn’t feel like they really cared. From reading the guestbook, the owners do love the unit but I don’t feel my taste is the same as theirs. It felt inexpensive and just the minimum instead of consulting with a decorator. The storage closet had soap just on the floor. No shelves. No cupboards. No tv in the bedrooms. It was fine. Just fine. But when you’ve stayed at prettier places, you know when people have just done an ok job. Not bad. Just okay. Our friends stayed in the unit below us and if it hadn’t been for their unit we would have been disappointed with our vacation. The owners of their unit really put some effort into decorating and outfitting it with everything and anything to make it home. Beach towels, chairs, candles, chaise lounges on the patio, sunshades,pretty glassware, hair dryers. You name their unit had it. Beautiful coffee table books on CR, Spanish language books. The place was gorgeous! Tv in every bedroom. Pretty artwork, specialized wall paint. We just stayed with them all the time and felt sooo sad to leave CR. We ate dinner on their patio. Overall our trip was a 10 but not because of our unit. Our unit could be 5 stars with more touches for the guests. New dishes, new glassware, lounge chairs, beach towels and chairs, etc. nicer artwork, TVs in bedrooms, storage for cleaning items, just a once over with what would make it go from good to great. Not trying to be uncaring. But when you’ve seen excellent it is hard to feel really pleased with satisfactory.

Beautiful Location!

Wow is all I will say

We arrived to the office to the office to check in and get the keys and ee emded up getting escorted to our condo to show us around. Once we settled in we went out on the balcony and just sat there looking out over the beach and the ocean. We ended up having Miguel come in to cook us dinner the first night. All I will say is we went out to dinner at beach restaurants and we ended up eating on the balcony more. The reason I say this is because having happy hour watching the sunset and being served dinner on the balcony, we had the best view period. I would highly recommend this unit and more importantly plan on using one of the chefs they recommend because you will find out that eating dinner on the balcony is the best table on the coast. There is no restaurant with anything even close. The unit itself was very well appointed with granite counters and tile floors and the rooms are well laid out. Worth every dollar.

Family Vacation

My family of four loved the nightly sunset view from the balcony, or from one of the outdoor pools. One evening as we waited for the sun to dip below the horizon a Humpback Whale breached three times in the distance along our sightline. Vacationing during the dry season, daily temps 94-97 F, we relished the A/C to cool down after a day spent outdoors. We would recommend this vacation rental to all! Second time visiting this area of C.R. The area was great, some excellent beaches, snorkeling, restaurants. The condo itself has great views/sunsets and nice amenities near by. Had a great infinity pool out front. Now here's for the bad part. We've used VRBO about a dozen times and I've never had such a lack of response from the property mgr. Upon arrival there was a horrible smell in the condo so the prop. mgr quickly turned on the fan and opened some windows then left, well... the smell didn't leave. It stayed with us for the whole 4 days. We contacted the mgr who sent someone over the next day and then never returned to fix the smell. It was so bad that we spent most our time on the balcony (by the way, furniture on the balcony was not very comfy, could use an upgrade). I know what the mgr.'s response to this post is going to be.... tried to return to fix the smell but renter said they wanted to be there when maintenance came back... so maintenance NEVER came back. FYI, this is bull.... we did not care If we were there when they came to fix it. Why would we stick around for a maintenance guy when we're out experiencing paradise. Lastly, the Road to condo... if you didn't rent a 4x4... you probably should.... I know I sound like I'm just complaining but I also am a vacation property owner and when we rent it out we make sure we respond properly to a complaint to make sure the vacationers are enjoying themselves. To add to it, when I contacted the prop. mgr when we got back from our trip she said what's done is done and would not be engaging in further conversation about it.... hmm, professional?? Anyway, all in all, amazing trip to C.R. and the area itself with some great day trips!!

Perfect Location!

A small group of friends visiting Costa Rica with three returning visitors and one first-time guest. The apartment was an absolute dream and from the moment we stepped inside we knew that we could not have chosen a better location. As soon as you walk in through the front door you're immediately captivated by the balcony view. As it is the apartment located on the left corner of the building the views from the balconies are unmatched. The master bedroom has a perfect view of both the ocean and the mountains, and the outdoor furniture makes it a perfect spot for breakfast with a view, or for sunset-watching when we weren't at the pool below. The unit is so beautifully furnished and made our stay as easy as could be. Both bathrooms also have incredible window views from the showers! The property is under 24/7 surveillance and the guards were exceptionally nice. This unit exceeded our expectations and we would absolutely stay here again!

Breathtaking views, perfect place to relax

This was our first time visiting Costa Rica and it has been an unmatchable experience. We were 2 couples visiting from Europe and we found the apartment to be very clean, roomy and of course with amazing views. The apartment is located on the left side of the building and on the 4th floor where you can see the beautiful sunset. The apartment building is in the heart of nature, and we were able to see monkeys and other wildlife during our morning walks. The flamingo beach is only a 10 minute walk and is a beautiful beach that you should visit. Overall highly recommended and would book here again!

The Tropical Homes of Costa Rica team has been together for the last 10 years, and has been very successful in other property management and vacation/long term rental agencies. During our time in the Playa Flamingo, Costa Rica area, we developed an excellent business and personal relationship with our home owners and rental clients. We then decided to join forces, and now offer quality, high end service to all of our guests and clients. Working with some of the most luxurious homes in the community gives us the chance to learn the needs of home owners and renters alike, and allows us to do the best job that we can.
