Perfect get away

This is exactly what I was looking for to enjoy a fishing weekend away with my 8 year old before school started. We spent most of our time outside on the deck fishing and eating. I loved that I could open the window in the kitchen and chat with my child while he fished. I hope we’re able to come back again next year!

Lovely lake front living.

We really enjoyed the view and easy access to the lake from this cottage. Perfect location to do some kayaking and also hiking up at Chimney Rock.

Amazing cabin on the Lake

A wonderful stay for a dad and his two daughters on Fathers Day wknd. It was our favorite vacation and booked it again next summer. The pontoon boat rental was out first and was as much fun as breathtaking with all the views. There are great places to eat on the water and a short walk from the beach. The 3 kayaks and paddle board were great also. The steps down to the cabin were very doable, especially since we had a giant roof rack bag. Made 1 trip down and took stuff back up in pieces on the way out as needed. Internet worked great, local cell coverage is spotty. So I suggest downloading the area map onto your phone for navigation. Great local deer spotting as well.

Location was great in a little cove on the water. The house was well maintained, clean, and felt like home. I would highly recommend this for a small family, couple, or friends getaway.

Cute little property

This is a cute little house on the lake. No joke about the steps leading down to the house though. 91 steps! Pack light so you don’t have to make a bunch of trips up and down the steps. Definitely bring your own linens and towels. There was some confusion about that during our booking but the property manager was very helpful. It’s definitely a cute house for a short stay on the lake. Our kids loved it.

Excellent!

I read a lot of reviews about this property before booking. I agree, there are a couple of minor issues: 1.) There are some steep steps to navigate down to the property and back up to the road. 2.) To unload your backpacks, bedding or anything that goes into the upstairs bedrooms, you do need to do that through the upstairs door to the top floor of the house. However, there’s a narrow spiral staircase between floors inside the house. Apart from these “Minor Issues”, the property was excellent! Right on the water with two Kayaks available, a grill, excellent WiFi, good fishing, excellent shower room, a couple of nice restaurants and convenience store within 20 mins and (while we were there) quiet at night! We will stay there again!

Great cabin with amazing views

Overall an amazing stay. The cabin was perfect for a fun vacation/getaway. The views of the mountains and location being right on the lake was perfect. Overall me and my family had a great time and I would love to come back some day!

Rained but had a good time.

It was a good place to stay with regards to the area. It was very quiet which we enjoyed. Other than the stairs it was a great place to stay. Future guests should be aware of the steps. Thanks.

Tons of Fun!

Cute and cozy, very relaxing. The drive was beautiful with plenty of nature to be seen. The cove is very peaceful and there is plenty of kayaking, floating and boat rentals available. My wife and I are 60 and in good shape so we made the stairs part of our exercise program.

Must be physically fit to stay here!

We had a short stay at this property for a wedding. The cottage is cute, but there is NO INTERNET, or cell phone service! There are 72 stairs you have to go up and down to get to your vehicle/into the cottage. Not for anyone with a physical disability. There is a very small spiral staircase that leads to the bedroom, which isn't easy for adults to climb due to its size. My husband and I are in good shape, and both on the slender side, yet we still had difficulty with the outdoor stairs and indoor spiral staircase.

Beautiful Location

The house is adorable and the view is stunning over the lake. The stairs to get to and from the property can be a difficult so something to keep in mind before renting. It was quite the workout for my legs! There is also no wifi connection which is fine if you can still get service which we could in certain parts of the house but it would definitely be a nice addition so that it would be easier to look things up and plan on the go. Overall we had a wonderful time just relaxing and enjoying the view!

Nice place, the description lied about its location

The physical layout of the place was quite nice, and the description stated 72 steps down to the property, but we expected that and it was quite nice to stay right along the lake. The key problem was that the description stated the location of the property very precisely by distance to different landmarks. Those distances turned out to be to the property rental office. This unit was 6 miles further. It turned out that we were able to find a very nice walk so the weekend worked out okay. But I absolutely do not recommend anyone rent from a place that lies about the location of its property. Incidentally, the place came with no towels and sheets, and it took a few phone calls to convince the staff that the check-in instructions absolutely stated these would be provided. But they were delivered. We didn't need to go through a few phone calls to do this. But to me, lying about the location of the property was the big problem for any property being rented by this company.

The cabin was amazing we loved it!!!!

The only problem was the stairs. I think it should be clear in the listing the amount of stairs you have to access the property. People who have physical limitations would be very disappointed to book and arrive to find so many stairs.
