Wonderful stay!

Great spot, very unique home and location! The roads are super-narrow, so beware of that. I was fine, but it freaked my wife out! If you can stomach the PCH, you'll be ok. Just take it slow. Worth it! Proximity to Muir Woods was a highlight for us. Great home, great communication from owner! :)

Quaint mountainside cottage

This lovely cottage it full of charm and vintage character. It is nestled in the woods with a babbling brook nearby giving it a natural calming and relaxing vibe. We loved our stay and Mill Valley was a fantastic central location on our girls' trip! FYI: The road is very narrow, steep, and winding up to this mountainside home. It is a one lane road (with two way traffic!) which made navigating it tricky in our large SUV...which also did not fit in the garage.

Completely wonderful!

We so enjoyed our stay. The house is lovely and full of character, the surroundings are stunningly beautiful, and Karen the hostess was responsive and generous with suggestions and information. The house is beautifully decorated with lovely touches everywhere. Truly a serene gem!

Beautiful Home

The house is perfect for a family getaway. The rooms are spacious, the outdoor decks are fantastic, and the dining tables (both indoors and outdoors) were great. We loved hiking into town and exploring the local trails. We would highly recommend this to anyone!

The absolute nicest place we have ever stayed

I normally don't write reviews...I know that I should, but I don't typically. I wanted to take a moment though after staying this property to express how impressed the entire family was with this property. My wife and I stayed with our 4 children (17,19, 22, and 24) in the property for 5 days. We were mesmerized by the quality of the property and the neighborhood. While the road getting there certainly was challenging as it wound up the side of a mountain, the views were nothing short of breath taking. It was almost a magical setting where you felt in your own little world of beauty and majesty. The multiple decks (of which we used every one at some point) provided a great spot to be in nature and spend time together. The easy access to Mill Valley for all our needs and the quick jog into San Francisco made this the best VRBO that we have ever stayed in. A special thanks to our hostess who was phenomenal the entire time. Highly, highly recommend.

Even better than advertised!

We have stayed in a number of VRBO properties and have always had great experiences. This one topped them all. The house is magnificent - like living in a treehouse with only the sounds of a creek and birds chirping. She has thought of every detail and the decor is perfect. There are so many neat touches and surprises throughout but I don’t want to spoil them. Karen is a wonderful host- she was extremely responsive and gave us great and detailed suggestions for hikes and things to do. This was a trip to remember thanks to Karen and her beautiful home! We will be back!
