Had A Nice Stay

We enjoyed the property quite a bit. Liked the fact that the area is in a quiet neighborhood. We found everything to be clean and tidy upon our arrival. Parking is on the street only.You have to unload there,then walk down a narrow pathway to the back of the property to check yourself in. You may want to consider this if you have any mobility problems. Vicki was very gracious and helped us with our MANY pieces of luggage. There's more than enough closet space and plenty of drawers too.We liked the abundance of sunlight in the main room in the morning.There are blinds though, if your not a morning person. If you like taking walks, there are walking paths across Rohrsen Road, which is easy enough to cross One path goes around a pond where we spotted a crane along the bank, and a deer on our way back. No regular TV, but there is WIFI. If you do any cooking, be aware that there is no dish drainer or drying mat,so it's wash and dry right away. Vicki was very pleasant and a great host.

Fantastic Accommodation - it doesn't get any better than this.

I stayed in Vicki’s and Jerry’s accommodation for three months. Both were so nice and were always available if I had a request. The location and the neighborhood is really perfect, very quiet and safe. You can easily park your car on the street (also very safe). The accommodation was perfectly equipped to a high standard, with everything from dishes to a washing machine/dryer. The bed was very comfortable and the large smart TV was also great. I had everything I needed during my three-month stay. I will miss my time here with Jerry and Vicki and can only warmly recommend the accommodation. All in all, my stay was a clear 10 out of 10.

Great time & location

We had a fantastic time at this property. Manager was available for any questions. Property was as listed - very clean & cool. Will stay again there when we visit the area.

Our Hosts Could Write the Book of "How to be a Great VRBO Host"

It was a wonderful stay at this residence. Our hosts obviously strived to assure the comfort of their guests. Cold bottled water in the fridge; a Keurig and coffee pods ready for breakfast; plush towels, lotions, shampoo & conditioner and more amenities in the bathroom, an available first aid kit; an available clothes washer/dryer; a mini kitchen with dishwasher; a quiet and clean neighborhood; and I could go on. We were so impressed. I highly recommend these hosts.

We will be back!

Our stay with Vicki & Jerry was awesome! This was our second time coming back to IL for the holidays since moving out of state. Last year we stayed at a hotel after our stay here we will never stay in a hotel again when we come into town. The accommodations were perfect for us. There was plenty of room for my husband to set up his office in the living room and we didn't feel as though we were on top of each other. Embarrassingly I was unable to get the stove working and my husband who had been able to wasnt answering his phone. Vicki answered right away and helped. We will definitely stay here again if it is available the next time we come into town! Thank you again!

Close to a 5

Spent 32 nights here without any problems. It is a quiet residential neighborhood great for walking. While we didn't use it the backyard is beautiful. Good space for a single or couple.. To get to 5 stars a few things would have made the difference in amenities. These items should be added: additional kitchen/dish towels, a blender, a shot glass, a vacuum cleaner of some kind, a full size broom,, a way for guest to control thermostat if possible, direction manuals for clothes washer/dryer, microwave/convection oven, countertop electric burners and dishwasher. The bedroom window curtains should be blackout style as the room gets too bright at sun rise. While parking is easy it is on the street if that would make a difference to anyone it should be stated in info. The TV does not get any regular stations such as ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, ESPN, etc...it only has streaming like NETFLIX and ROKU.... the refrigerator and freezer section are small and it fills up fast, not a hardship just something to know before you go shopping. The apartment is attached to the house so while there were no privacy issues at all the bathroom of the house seems to be directly over the bedroom and can be a little noisy especially in the morning. Once again we enjoyed our stay and had no issues, these are just helpful ideas I hope and not criticisms.

Quiet and Relaxing

Absolute Gem

We loved our stay in Vicki and Jerry’s guesthouse. The perfect space for us with every detail taken care of. Initially I wasn’t sure about the guest space being attached. Absolutely no worries, we had complete privacy and also felt very safe in their quiet neighborhood. We were there for a camp for my daughter and the guest house is so centrally located to everything! I loved having a stocked kitchen so we didn’t need to eat out everyday. Vicki was fabulous giving information on local places. We plan to come back again as soon as possible! Just perfect!

Home Away from Home

This place was wonderful. Beautifully furnished and private. The owner was so nice and helpful if needed. We enjoyed the beautiful patio area and yard. Location was easy to get to and close to highway. Would recommend to friends.
