Your recommendation for Avon's Skin-So-Soft is spot on! Bailey's General Store carries it, so it's nice to be able to have it as an option if no-seeums are bothersome. Some people are sensitive to them, while others aren't at all. The all-natural No-NoSeeum spray is also available on the island and it has the same success rate as Avon's SSS - it'll either bring relief or it won't! :) We look forward to having you and your pup back at Island Beach Club F320 next year, and we hope you'll enjoy the brand new plantation shutters that have just been installed. Dear Anna, Thank you for choosing F320, and thank you for reporting the deficiencies with the condo. We work hard to make sure your vacation is a memorable one for all of the right reasons, and we clearly missed the mark. I can only apologize - and thank you - for reporting the deficiencies. The condo has been rented for the past 20 months straight, with no vacant dates until this week because of increased demand during the pandemic, so we are only now getting into properties and assessing them. Deep cleans are being done, and maintenance and repairs are being coordinated as well. We are wasting no time on this front. The master bedroom mattress, box spring and headboard are new, as they were a gift to the owners from the CFO of Sealy (a college classmate from way back!). They were delivered in March. The twin beds were newly purchased at the same time, so I can only attest that they are new, not to their comfort. The condo was scheduled to be closed this week for so that lanai tile could be installed (that was supposed to have happened in 2020 - thanks, Covid!), along with the new windows and blind treatments. As we reported to you at check-in, the previous guests did not crate their 2 doggies, and they ran in and out of the blinds, causing panels to break off. They also did not report that the top rack of the dishwasher was loose/broken (nor did the housekeeper), so thank you for letting me know about that. It was easier to purchase a new dishwasher than it is to get replacement parts, so a new one was installed this morning. I've also forwarded your comments to the owner's housekeeper for their review, specifically where the shower curtains are concerned. We so very much appreciate your feedback. Without it, we have no way of knowing how we are doing, and what we can be doing better. Rest assured, we'll make sure that your next visit exceeds your expectations. Dear Patti, It was so nice to meet you in person, and I'm glad that you enjoyed the location and meeting local islanders. I was especially glad to meet Safari! Thank you for taking the time to note that the apartment needs some repairs. Our goal is to exceed our guests's expectations, and clearly, we fell short in this instance. I apologize. Housekeeping had let us know about vertical blinds that the previous guest had broken, which we had let you know about at check-in. They are a custom length, and we discovered that renter in residence prior to your arrival had a doggie that liked to run along the windows when they saw people or birds, and that caused them to twist and break off. This is a downside of vertical blinds versus doggies. The doggies win. :) Housekeeping also noted that the weave of the patio chairs was coming loose/undone at a corner, and I offered to replace the chairs that same day for you when I met you at check-in, and you politely declined. We did replace them upon your departure. To make everyone's stay a memorable one for the right reasons, we rely on housekeeping and our guests to provide feedback, especially if items need attention or repairs. A welcome email and a departure email note requests that any deficiencies be reported so that we can tend to them and make your stay more enjoyable. We didn't receive any feedback during or after your stay, so we presumed everything was acceptable. The blinds and chair were replaced upon your departure. If you don't mind, may I email or call you and get your feedback as to what specific repairs are needed? If we don't know about it, we can't fix it! In addition, thank you for the feedback on the photos. I'll be sure to get fresh photos and update the website. It's important to me that photos closely convey what a property looks like, so I'll take another look and make sure they do just that. Despite Covid, the condo has been occupied since May 30, with only 5 days being vacant. That's good news, but that also means that there are most certainly items that need attention at this point in the fall season, with limited opportunity to do so while observing social distancing. I do hope that we may have another opportunity to host you at one of our properties, and to at least meet, if not exceed your expectations.
