Perfect Stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful stay and experience at Colony Reef Club, for the third year in a row! Our stay was clean and perfect for the family. We enjoy staying on the second floor with a toddler running free. We can still see the ocean and it is not too many steps back. With the pool, ocean view, playground, and green space right there it is the perfect place to stay. We will hopefully be back for a fourth year in a row!

Nice condo

The condo was as described but the “crows nest” bedroom was really small and only good for 1 adult or 2 kids. Luckily we only needed the one bed. The condo could have used some cleaning. We found dirty socks in one closet and fake fingernails under the bed and the patio furniture looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. Other than that the pool and hot tub were great and the beach was beautiful and just a short walk over the walkway. We also enjoyed the workout room and pickleball courts and we were glad the office had equipment to use. Overall we had a fun stay for a girls week!

Our unit, 2204, was fairly clean...just a few dust bunnies. The small bedroom with two twin beds is way too cold to sleep in and we could not adjust the vents. Great complex!

We ended up with only 4 and it comfortably accommodated that many but no more. So, very expensive for 4. The dishwasher did not work and the outdoor pool was closed. Also, the unit was not as clean as I expect. The stove and oven were dirty. Some of the cooking ware was above the clothes dryer, and I didn't look for them there.

Easter Week Family Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My wife and I rented this unit for a family vacation with our three young boys for the first week of April. This was our first visit to CRC, and to the St Augustine area. The process of reserving the rental, and the check-in process were both simple. The staff at CRC was very professional and helpful. Overall, the CRC facility is great, and met our expectations for a family beach vacation. The large outdoor pool, easy beach access, location to St Augustine area attractions, and other amenities were the selling points. Our condo unit had a great view of the ocean and the pool area. We didn't run into any major issues with the condo unit and found it to have all of the conveniences that we needed for our stay. The kitchen was nice with functional appliances and granite counters. The washer and dryer in the condo unit worked well for us on several occasions. Considering the rental costs, we feel that a few items should be mentioned specific to our condo unit. The linens and towels were clean and the unit had been cleaned upon arrival, but the unit is showing its age, and needs an overall deep cleaning. Cosmetic repairs to drywall and fresh paint are needed. The king bed is worn out and should be replaced. Some pillows were also in bad shape (flat and stained).The furniture is older and had a musty odor. The walk-in shower in the primary suite is nice, but the tile needs to be scrubbed to remove mold and mildew. We didn't have as much use of the jacuzzi as we hoped for, as it was frequently used by younger children, who appeared to be under the stated age limit. While these items were disappointing, we still enjoyed our stay at CRC and would consider renting another unit in the future. It is a great facility for a family vacation with ocean views, amenities, and a fantastic beach within steps of the complex.

Great Stay on the beach!

But the property was only a short drive to all the area attractions. Unfortunately the pool is not heated and the weather was cold and rainy. The hot tub was nice but it closed way too early.As far as the room itself, it was well-furnished and comfortable. We had a great view and large balcony. Only the "crows nest" room was not great for anyone except maybe little kids and there were false drawers so there was no storage except for a little in the closet. The lighting in that room was terrible as well. My son ended up sleeping on the couch. There needs to be more towel bars in the bathrooms and the dishwasher is difficult to use. Bed was very comfortable. Overall, a great stay!

The front office responded and the problem was taken care of quickly. We enjoyed being there so much! We had to buy shower cleaner and clean the shower before using it. Overall, we are happy with our stay. For 6 days we paid more than 400$ per day including taxes and fees. I believe the last time we came it was closer to 300$ per day.

We left it cleaner than when we arrived. The pool was very nice and clean, as well as the surrounding grounds. The proximity to the ocean, local businesses and downtown St. Augustine was very convenient. Checking in and checking out was very simple. We had a wonderful time. The price was right for off season rental, but if it were more, I would not recommend.

Enjoyable Girls Only Getaway!

The unit was very nice and the views overlooking the pool and ocean were beautiful. There was plenty of room and everything was in working order. There were a few things that obviously had not been cleaned well in a while such as the shower floor which was dark and sticky and the kitchen sink, which had a black growth around the edges. One of the bathroom sinks had the same growth as well. For the amount tht was charged for the cleaning fee, I would have hoped it would have been thoroughly cleaned. Hurricane Ian became an issue during our stay, and we were told we would have to leave the condo after being there less that 24 hours. We were extremely disappointed but understood the safety issues associated with a storm of this size. The representatives in the office were helpful. They refunded fees for the nights we were not able to stay and generously refunded some of the other fees that were charged. We were grateful for this and would definitely consider returning to this property again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we arrived, late check in, packet was left in location stated in email. Very easy. When we entered the condo it was very dirty, urine on toilet seats, kid prints all over kitchen and walls, greasy remotes, chocolate everywhere, food around mattresses in the kid room, I spent 2 hours cleaning. I spoke with front office on Monday and they refunded the cleaning fee for me. They stated they only were renting this condo for a few weeks so this was not under the care of the on site staff. I assume cleaning prior was not provided by Colony Reef. I suggested a general deep cleaning due to build up on faucets and mildew around bathroom fixtures. Other than that I was very satisfied with the condo. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was stocked well, washer and dryer works well, furniture comfortable. I napped on the loungers on the balcony. Cant really hear the ocean waves crashing due to location from beach due to dunes and the general noise from the pool but that is not a deal breaker. I definitely recommend. There was not a lot of noise, has a huge lawn area people would play games and hang out on at and after dark. I did not use the indoor facilities but the pool was great! So easy for my 6 yo to swim, very large area 3 foot in depth. Has a small kiddie pool and hot tub was always hot! Location for food and activities good, not right up in all the craziness but to to far away if your looking for that atmosphere. I will visit here again if I come back to St. Augustine.

There was a lot of dust under the beds and around the bedrooms and something in the room or vents that made me sneeze for the entire stay even while taking allergy meds. We had to vacuum the floors and do some of our own cleaning (first day), so I wasn't happy about the condition of the room. The kitchen was nice, though. The bathroom drain adjacent the 2 bed room was stopped up,too. We enjoyed our stay despite my runny nose and sinus issues (from mold and dust maybe because the building needs to be updated), but the room was overpriced.

The staff is great to work with. The place is kept beautifully landscaped and clean. Love the no smoking anywhere rule. No pets allowed so no need to worry about allergic reactions. The condo was clean and loved the tile floors and not any nicnacks to worry with the kids. There was lots of space and sleeping for seven of us. Loved the view of pool and ocean. Hated leaving. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!!
