The condo was nice but outdated, which is fine with us we just needed a place to sleep, shower, and cook. The pictures shown are not of the exact condo you rent, not sure why. Bonus was there was a hot tub down stairs plus an extra bathroom. The beds were extremely firm and the pillows were no good either, didn’t sleep well and woke up each morning with a stiff neck. We drove 12 hrs from Texas, being very cautious and constantly checking that everything we wanted to do on our vacation was still open in spite of COVID-19. Only to find out the next morning when we went to ski, the ski lift had been shut down which is the whole reason we were going to Pagosa Springs. We were able to get our ski rentals and lift tickets 100% refunded, then we started to replan what to do on our vacation since we were already there. We decided we would make the most of it do some sledding do some shopping, but all in all we were going to leave a day earlier than planned bc of our vacation being altered. So we contacted the “owner” and told her the situation, later she replied back that that was a “real bummer” and she had “No way out with this short of a notice especially when we were already there.” All the while I received an email from VRBO saying they are encouraging their property owners to be flexible on their cancellation policy given the current circumstances. After much back-and-forth with the “owner” she said she would ask the resort if there’s anyway we could get our money back for one night. We gave time for her to do so, didn’t hear anything back so we spoke with the resort Wyndham, which we checked in with. They said it was under another resort-Worldmark. So we spoke to Worldmark, told them the situation they said they could not give any refunds until the owner had called and approved it, but Worldmark was ready to give refunds if the “owner” would do her part like she said she would. After going back-and-forth again with the “owner” and having to continue to plead our case she finally said that we would be issued one nights refund for leaving a day early, but it could take up to two weeks to see that refund. We shall see if the refund shows up. All in all with the virus crisis our vacation was OK and we made the best of it, but it could’ve been better if the property owner cared about the situation we were in and put forth actual effort. If I would have known the condo was under two huge companies I would’ve looked elsewhere.
