Amazing stay in Colorado Springs

Great location and neighborhood. The house was all we had hoped for, and met all of our needs. Everyone in our party stayed they’d love to stay there again next time we’re in Colorado Springs.

Large house for big family - needs maintenance

The house was ok. It was large enough to fit our family, but had it's issues. The pics say there is mountain views, but those are outdated. There is now a large apt complex blocking the view. The grass/weeds were 2-3 foot tall in the yard. I immediately notified the host & they said they would notify maintenence, but It was never mowed during our stay. The house was 81 when we arrived & the heat was on. The downstairs shower didn't work & was off the tracks. The basement room with 2 beds leaks in the front corner. My son woke up to his clothes wet on the first night. The other room downstairs has a stool in front of the bed that is about to fall apart. The downstairs couch by the back door is all tore up and the wood is coming out of the bottom. The side table outside is missing the glass. The lights in the two upstairs bedrooms have remotes that are on the same frequency so when you use them, you also turn on/off the light/fan in the other room. The bed in the master bedroom didn't feel very sturdy. When I looked underneath, one of the middle legs was not touching the ground. The upstairs hall shower needs the shower rod installed correctly. There are holes in the fence, one by the neighbors house & one in the front. The fence is also leaning & when maintenance came to spray weeds, they didn't shut the fence. The neighborhood seemed good and the house worked, but definitely could use some general maintenence.

Wonderful quiet place with lots of space, especially backyard. Convenient location to get to everything around Colorado Springs.

Some slight hiccups, but Hoste handled it

We actually didn't stay at this house because it hadn't been cleaned when we arrived. However, the team at Hoste HANDLED IT. They responded so fast when I called, and within about an hour they had found us another house that was even nicer and of course totally clean. Could have been a major problem, but they turned it into a slight hiccup. We still had a great visit to Colorado Springs.

Came in for parent’s weekend. Location was very convenient. Nice and quiet at the edge of a neighborhood.

Nice Home for large family

We had a great experience with this home. Overall clean and very functional for our group of 8. Open floor plan was nice in Main area with large kitchen living room and dining area. The lower level family room was great for our kids to have their own space to hang out and play games. They also played in the back yard as well. This location and neighborhood are very nice with great access to all the key areas in CO Springs. The property managers were easy to communicate with. This home worked so well for our family.

Disappointed

While the bedrooms were comfortable, the living room and family room were poorly furnished and uncomfortable for our group. The house has not been maintained properly, with a serious plumbing leak during our stay, and structural issues on the facade and entry.

Spring Break 2021

We had a great time. The house was perfect for us with lots of room and a fenced in yard for the dog. The house was clean and kitchen had most of what we needed. We were close to everything we wanted to do and had so many options. (you should try out the Pikes Peak bike tour! We went twice! ) The host was easy to contact and very accommodating! My only small suggestions— dish cloths and wash cloths would be nice. Also for us oldies— directions for the remotes for the TV. :-) And maybe more than 1 TV. We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area!

Beautiful Location - Has it’s pros and cons

The location of this VRBO is absolutely amazing!! The scenic views of the backyard were stunning!! The size was amazing and comfortably fit us all (4 adults, 1 teen, and 3 dogs) with so much room left! We didn’t even use the room with two queens!! The back yard was huge with so much room for the dogs to run and play! Unfortunately, the furniture leaves quite a bit to be desired! The couch upstairs was broken, and the ones in the Lower living room are quite old and lack cushioning. The beds are all memory foam and a little hard which is more preference than an actual issue!! We did have a few not so pleasant surprises as we walked in - including a full mouse Trap under the loveseat, the broken couch, and trash under the beds. A little disappointed in the dead smelly mouse under the couch that we had to take out ourselves. Other than those few things, the stay was wonderful and we felt very comfortable in the house and neighborhood!! The kitchen and bedrooms had everything you needed to be comfortable during a short or long stay. Hoste was easy to contact at any point that we needed anything and they were very quick to respond and willing to help out. Hoping the host updates the pictures and descriptions to include more detail and be more accurate to what’s at the house and property!!

Needs work

Overall, a great stay. Some things that were concerning, however, was the fact that there were several issues that should be addressed. Broken Dining room window, banister leading down to living room was super loose and needs to be secured. Broken Glass in the disposal, so it was inoperable. Definitely a cozy place to stay, but all the little issues caused concern. Also, there is a fire pit in the back that we started to use, and was soon after called by the property manager stating that we couldn't use it?!? The ease of renting through HomeAway was incredible. Everything went smooth as far as access!
