Gorgeous place!

We had to rebook a place at the last minute and we were so glad we did!! This condo does not disappoint!! Clean and gorgeous! The king bed rooms are so nice and the beds are really comfy! The wrap around balcony is absolutely amazing with really nice furniture! Thank you for sharing your home with us! We will definitely stay here again!!

very dissatisfied with management

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were not happy at all with security, parking and security. I ask security guard if we could park in handy cap parking area. Due to wife knee surgeries we need to get as close to levTOR A POSSIBLE. security told me I could park anywhereexcept owners parking and no parking. I parked in handy cap parking I had citation on vechicle the next morning with towing citation possible.I belong to RV,S Pro magazine with 50,000 members and I definitely will not recommend this place. i would like to talk to owners about what a security gates that does not work does for their business. after 15 years stayine at this location; i will never book there again nor will I book with Bender. Bender No help at all.

Best view in Gulf Shores

We have stayed in several units at Royal Palms (all of which have been wonderful) but this unit was the best of all! Everything is just as described and pictured, and the views of the beach from the beach facing balcony to the side wrap around were the greatest. The unit itself was spacious and well organized. We felt right at home the minute we walked down the long hallway to the living room. Absolutely wonderful!!!

2024 Family Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love coming to Golf Shores for our family vacation this is like the 13th year That we have stayed at the Royal Palms. We Rent the same unit year after year. We love this area dearly. But the overall cleaning is a lot to be desired. I'm really not one to complain, But I think the property manager and owner should know the findings, When you pay well over $4000 to rent for one week you do expect it to be clean! (not having to do the cleaning job the first hour upon your arrival so you can enjoy your vacation.) We understand that this is a busy time but to walk in and find sand still on the floors And the tiled area had not been mopped and the laundry room floor was so dirty And Sticky. And did not appear that the sweeper had been run in the bedrooms. The knife set that was kept on the counter was greasy and dirty and every knife had to be rewashed. We love the condo unit that we rent year after year, but over the last couple of years, The cleaning has gotten worse. I do have pictures of the floor from where I had cleaned.

Best view in Gulf Shores!

This is the best condo in the Royal Palms. The balcony is incredible and has comfy furniture. The view is amazing! This condo is the best place to watch the sunrise and moonrise over the water.

We were there for my daughters beach wedding and her condo down the hall was definitely not what I had hoped for their wedding trip...the balcony furniture was broken, dirty and moldy. The inside furniture in desperate need of updating and just a very weird layout with a wall of full length in the narrow hallway. She was quite disappointed especially when she saw that ours was so much nicer.

Great location, needs some updating

Location was great, about a 10 minute walk to shopping/restaurants. Property management company was easy to communicate with and responsive. Offered “discounted” rates to extend our stay. The Royal Palms had amenities like a heated indoor pool/hot tub which were great for the colder days. If you are planning to use the gym- be advised there is only 1 treadmill and 1 bike. No weight equipment. The outdoor pool does not get much sun, it was shaded most of the day and not heated. The condo itself- very spacious. Plenty of room for our family of five and had great views. The balcony could not be beat! Kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans/plates etc. Definitely plan to bring your spices as the pantry only has salt and pepper. Unfortunately there were a few things in need of updating. Not necessarily deal breakers but a condo with this price point should come with some standard amenities. For instance, the linens were awful. From bedsheets to towels…all were worn and scratchy. Bedroom carpets were dirty. Our feet were black as soon as we walked on them, even right after a shower. Likely this is just from years of wear and folks tracking in sand, I get it, but pack your slippers! Bedroom tvs had cable only, not a deal breaker, but smart tvs would have been nice. The 2nd bedroom didn’t have blackout curtains which was tough on our teen for 7am sunrises. There wasn’t a broom, we had to borrow one from a friend we traveled with. Overall a good stay!

Family Vacation

We had a fabulous time! The weather wasn’t the best but there’s so much to see and do down here, that we stayed busy every day. So many restaurants to chose from and within walking distance. Having the indoor heated pool was an added plus for our grandkids. The condo was very clean, comfortable, and the million dollar views from the balcony can’t be beat!! We will for sure be back!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We made a last-minute decision to go to Gulf Shores because our daughter and family were going. The penthouse was the only unit available. It is a very nice unit but much too big for the two of us. It is also quite pricey. The view of the beach from the wraparound balcony was lovely. We normally vacation off-season at our favorite condo on Padre Island, Texas. We did not enjoy the in-season crowds at Gulf Shores with the bumper to bumper traffic, crowded restaurants and would not do it again. We thought it unusual that the facility, especially considering the price of the units, required guests to provide their own toiletries, toilet paper, dish detergent, and we did not realize that we were required to also bring our own trash bags. Our condo on Padre supplies all of these plus "refills," as well as clean towels whenever needed. They also pick up our garbage when placed outside of our door and leave replacement trash bags. It was convenient to have a washer and dryer in the unit. We were surprised, however, that we were required to wash, dry and put up dishes and utensils before we left. It was obvious that previous guests had perhaps put up dishes which had not been adequately washed. Management should be responsible for insuring that dishes and utensils are sanitary and not leave it up to guests. We washed the dishes before we used them in addition to after use. The staff at the Bender office was extremely friendly and helpful. We were greeted at the condo by a very nice gentleman, Mike, who helped us bring in our luggage and supplies. Overall, the experience was pleasant, but we think we will continue to vacation off-season at our perfectly nice but much more reasonably priced condo on Padre.
