Nice cozy house

House location was great, two blocks from Seawall. The parking on the street was a battle but we got through it. Overall the house was well equipped with everything you needed. The bikes needed some work but everything checked out great. I would definitely stay here again.

Close to the beach

Home was clean and well outfitted for a party of 4-6 people. The beach is only two short blocks away with easy access to pedestrian crossing on Seawall Blvd. A beach capable wagon, chairs, and sand castle toys were provided in the on-property shed. Alley entrance provides convenient post-beach access to outdoor showers for both pets and people. Neighborhood was fairly quiet, especially in the evenings. There are multiple other rentals in the area so street parking spots near the home was limited. We would rent again on a future trip.

Cute cottage

We loved our stay here. It was clean, comfy and everything we could have hoped for. The pups loved having a fenced in yard to play in and the close walk to the beach was wonderful!

Great rental home

This house was the perfect place for a long weekend. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The dogs loved the fenced back yard. The covered patio was nice since it rained most of our weekend. The beach is a short walk away and many restaurants are also close by. We will be back again.

Puppies first time to the ocean

The stay was great. A little bit of rain each day but the property was minutes from a privately owned beach which we used with the dog. The property has a cute setup and was perfect for what we needed. I enjoyed the outdoor kitchen and the covered patio where I could read in the mornings as the lite rain fell. We would definitely stay here again.

This home was in an amazing location and so easy to walk or bike anywhere! Each bed was incredibly comfy and the backyard set up was great!! The hose for the dog baths was on when we arrived and we could never figure out how to turn it all the way off. Bikes were so useful! We do wish they weren’t all flat though and 2 bikes brakes didn’t work we found out! Overall, this house was perfect and I’d definitely continue to come back!!!

Great house and location

House was very clean. Great location. Easy walk to the beach. About two blocks. We had four adults and a baby and it was a great fit for us. Only has one full bathroom but we had no issue at all. There is a half bath downstairs. Very quiet. Had the power go out but the agent in charge called me right back when I called her at 6:52 am. It was only off about 30 minutes. I would highly recommend this house

First family beach trip

Check in process was seamless. The house was cute, well laid out and well furnished. The house is fairly worn since the initial pictures were taken. There are stains on the couch, a rip in the couch cushion, one of the arms of the patio furniture was all torn up, and the grass was fairly long. My husband’s first attempt to hang a towel on the rod in the bathroom resulted in it falling to the floor. There were many paint cans stacked on a shelf in the shed that made it difficult to get out bikes without knocking them over. However, the house itself served our purpose - to be close to the beach. It’s a very short walk, even with toddlers. The outside shower was very handy to get the sand off before going inside. We weren’t able to utilized the outdoor space as you were consumed by mosquitoes as soon as you stepped outside. The beds were super comfortable for everyone and my kids adored the bunks in the hall. I think with some deep cleaning, repairs, and swapping out some worn household items, this place could easily be a 5 again. But you can’t beat the location. Overall, we would stay again next summer.

Amazing Property Close To Beach

We had a fantastic stay at this house in Galveston. The property is just a few blocks from the beach and also close walking to local eateries. We also walked downtown (1mile). The property is amazing. Very clean and modern. The back yard is a great space to eat and relax in the evenings. Would highly recommend and hope to stay here again soon

Ironman Competition

My son competed in his first Ironman this past weekend and having this house helped all of our stress levels! The location made it easy to navigate the island, it was close enough to the beach that we could take a nice walk, and the beds were so comfortable! The backyard was perfect for our dog and we enjoyed using the firepit to relax before the big day!

Galveston Dog-Friendly Get away

The home is located on the east end of the island. It is a walkable, friendly neighborhood, a few minutes walk to the beach, and some good restaurants are within walking distance. ShyKatz was great for breakfasts and salads. Everything we needed, towels and cooking utensils, was provided and easy to find. Having an outdoor shower and a washer/dryer was very helpful. It was great having a dog wash area! I will be buying one of the dog elevated baths. The back porch is great!!! Next time, we will be using the bikes. It may be on the site, and I didn't see it; the stairs to the bedrooms are very steep. They do provide baby gates, and the railing was sturdy. I loved using the gas stove. The neighborhood was quiet when we stayed in late February and early March. I definitely would stay again.

Wonderful house near the Seawall East

The house was perfect for us! We stayed 3 nights, my husband, I and small dog. The house had everything you would need! All you need to bring is your clothes and toothbrush. The owner is truly into detail and it shows. The beds were very comfortable, linens nice and fluffy, and the kitchen was stocked with everything you need to prepare a meal. The yard was a highlight for my dog. Totally fenced in with no place for him to get out, nice patio and furniture, outdoor kitchen, heaters on the patio, nice landscaping and grass. There was an outdoor shower and even a dog bath! The shed was full of bikes, trikes and wagons. Being seniors, we did not use all of that, but we sure enjoyed everything else. I would definitely rent this house again. Very well kept house and so cute inside!

Great house!

This was a perfect house for our weekend in Galveston for Mardi Gras! We usually stay on the west end but opted to be closer to the festivities. We loved the house itself, very clean and cute and great backyard! It was a super quick walk to the beach and to restaurants/bars. It was a short drive to our friends house where we watched the parades and short drive to the strand! Will stay here again when not staying on the west end!

Not for big families

It's just as listed, closed to beach, it has enough bedding for several people.Nicely arranged, patio is great. However, the house has your regular wear and tear, chairs/stools are stained, furniture scratched, you can definitely tell it's dog friendly from looking at the couches, not very clean. There was a blanket it smelled like dog, not sure if it was meant for people or dog. It has enough beds for a large family:however, ONE shower is not enough for large family. The outside shower helps and it's convenient, but the house next door (2 story house) has a camera directly above the outside shower, even though it seems to be facing the alley, it made it very uncomfortable.

Very clean and good communication

Beds were comfy, walkable to the beach, and host communicated well. There are some tight spaces in this house just FYI. Steep and narrow stairs and downstairs bathroom feels like a broom closet turned into a bathroom but it was well cleaned and we enjoyed our time there (just my spouse and I)

Property was just as advertised. Accommodations were perfect and comfortable. We also brought our 3 little dogs and the stay was just wonderful. Will come back and stay again for sure!

Great Location

Our favorite thing about this place was the location to the beach. Super quick walk. Less than 2 blocks. It was super nice that they provided a beach wagon and they had brand new beach chairs. The space was perfect for our family of four. The baby gates provided were great since we had a 1.5 year old with us. The grill outside would not ignite. We believe the ignition switch was broken but we texted Barbara and she offered to send someone over to check it out the next day. Was a bummer we couldn’t grill that night since we had bought stuff to grill. They provided starter toilet paper and paper towels which was plenty for us but they did not have a laundry pod like stated so we had to go buy laundry detergent. One thing to consider is that they are building a house next door and the construction started at 7:00 am on the dot and went to 9:00 pm most nights and they were loud and with the house being so close it felt like they were right outside our bedroom window. With this they also would drop or throw scraps into the homes backyard even while we were sitting out there. We probably picked up at least 30 pieces of metal to throw back over the fence so our children wouldn’t get hurt. I wouldn’t book here until construction was done next door but won’t hesitate to book again once that house next door is done. Instructions were very clear for everything and communication was quick.

Overall okay house BUT..

Overall the house was okay. The stairs inside the house are extremely steep. Not a big deal if you are not taking small children or pets. The bottom landing where the stairs turn had no railing so if someone falls there is nothing to catch them. Our dog fell down the stairs and so did one of our children. This led us to use the baby gates in the upstairs closet to help keep them off of the stairs. However, the baby gate for the top of the stairs did not even connect all of the way and would swing open if you even breathed on it. There were two chairs to take to the beach which is fine but one of them is broken. The gas grill is also broken which again is not a big deal as long as you know that before going and buying groceries to cook out. It has propane but will not ignite. The combination lock on the back fence also does not work so plan accordingly when you return from the beach so you aren’t dragging sand through the house. The location is good but the neighborhood is not really what we expected.

Pet friendly family vacation

This place was so awesome with a great location. We loved that we were able to bring our fur babies with us! There was plenty of beds for all of us (3 adults and 3kids). I only wish there was one more full bath but I do have to say even with everyone taking showers we never did run out of hot water. The backyard was awesome with the outdoor kitchen and plenty of room for the dogs to run around. I loved that it was a 6 foot fenced in backyard so we didn’t have to worry about our dogs getting out. Overall this place was great and we would definitely stay again!
