This is a GREAT rental, reasonably priced. We have stayed here the last two years and are planning our third next summer. The owner is quick to respond to any questions. The location is perfect for us as we have extended family at Little Eden Camp just down the road.

Our Ideal Family Cottage Experience

This roomy authentic cottage satisfied perfectly the needs of the 6 members (4 adults and 2 small children ) 3 generational family. We were able to comfortably park 2 vehicles in the driveway , plenty of written instructions guided us thru the do's and don't ( hardly any don'ts ) plus excellent suggestions as to things to do and places close by to go to. Definately a destination for us on a future family holiday.

Wonderful Cottage

Our 2 week stay at the cottage was fantastic! Jud was so great to work with and kept me informed on the details. The cottage was very comfortable and clean. We especially loved the screened in porch. While we were there, it got a bit hot, so the air conditioning throughout the house was great. I would highly recommend the cottage! Thank you!

Excellent Family Vacation in Onekama

My family and I enjoyed our trip to Onekama during the second week of July 2021. We had three adults and three kids stay at the cottage. The cottage is truly a short walk to the beach, which is sandy and not rocky. It is absolutely beautiful! There are four bedrooms, three upstairs and one downstairs. Each room has a double/queen size bed. The house fit our family well and we had such a great time visiting the sights of Onekama. We visited the lighthouse piers, went on long walks, swam at the beautiful beach, and visited the Sleeping Bear Dunes. Thank you so much for the opportunity to stay at your cottage!

Outstanding location! Just a few minutes walk to beautiful Sunset Beach on Lake Michigan and the Portage Point Community Dock on Portage Lake. An easy drive or slightly longer stroll to Portage Point Inn. The cottage has many amenities that made our stay more pleasant ... dishwasher, washer & dryer, large screened in porch, extra apartment-sized refrigerator on the porch, large outdoor deck with table and chairs, two bathrooms, four bedrooms, etc. The reason for our overall 4-star rating was due to cleanliness issues (a 3 rating in this category). There were some areas in the cottage that weren't very clean. We do plan to stay again because the size and location worked so well for us and the price is reasonable, just hoping for a deeper clean next time. The host was terrific. We had a couple things pop up while we were there for two weeks and Jud was very responsive and accommodating. Communication was excellent. All in all, a good place to stay near the beach in wonderful Onekama, Michigan!

Ultimate Beach Vacation

We chose this property due to it’s proximity to Frankfort for the IronMan race. We are so happy to have discovered this place! Our favorites about the property were the amazing screened in porch and the gorgeous, unpopulated beach at the end of the road. We so enjoyed our time in “1,”!

Onekama Beach vacation

We have vacationed in Onekama since 2004 and this cottage and location of the cottage has been one of the best by far! Beds were comfortable, water pressure great, had laundry facilities and everything that you could want! The porch was my favorite part! The addition of AC on the off chance you would need it was a nice option and even though we were on vacation having the WiFi was a real plus! I know we will be back! You just can’t beat the weather and beaches in this area, I guess that is why we have continued to come back year after year!

Outstanding place in Onekama

The house has an excellent location - just a short walk to the beach - and had everything we needed for a great stay - comfortable beds, a/c, screened in porch, kitchen with plenty of pots and pans. The owner Jud was very responsive to the questions we had before we arrived. Highly recommended!!

Hidden Gem

We booked this trip with the intention of enjoying the beautiful nature this part of Michigan offers. The location was very peaceful and delivered on just that. The property is part of a quaint neighborhood and the public access beach to Lake Michigan is right down the street. To say the view is beautiful is a complete understatement. The house is well kept and comfortable, offering plenty of space. It is driving distance from Sleeping Bear dunes and an amazing area to be in the fall when the leaves are changing colors.
