No air conditioning upstairs, the drain didn’t drain and had sand in the downstairs bathroom. The outdoor furniture was filthy and had bugs all over it. The downstairs toilet seat was broken, looked like someone had glued it on. No dishwashing detergent, no laundry detergent, no hand soap, no soap to bath with, no toilet paper, only 2 rolls for 3 baths and 8 people! No paper towels, no nothing! No salt and pepper or coffee! Not even the basics! I’ve rented places for 35 years and never had none of the basics there when you arrive!! The We pay a lot of money and there’s not even the basics provided, so cheap. The rules were to pack up all garbage and take it out to the road but there were no garbage bags even!! We spent our vacation time running around buying household items for a vacation house! Very disappointing for me and my family!!!Tonya Wuestefeld

Nice location off beach with easy access to beach

Location is 3 walking blocks to sandy beach. Nice thing is on Ocean Blvd there is good side walk to the beach with crossing lights. It’s a little over a mile to ride bikes to boardwalk as there is a side road next to houses on beach that you can get to within a few blocks to get off of main road. Also, highly recommend bikes as have a great greenway off of Ocean Blvd to get to a park with basketball courts, playground and skate park. The park is about 1.5 mile bike ride and great with sidewalk and greenway. House: can hold ten but 7or 8 is what best set up for at max. The kitchen table has four chairs and two island stools. Can bring up some light chairs from outside down by cars where there is a nice table outside. We were able to squeeze seven around the table. Air in house pretty good except in back bedroom where it is a bit warmer. We were able to get a fan from Bryant real estate to help air flow there. Only the master has a ceiling fan. There is spicket for washing off feet down in car area. No hose though. We had four cars in the driveway but can fit five if pull all the way in. For the kitchen, teflon type frying pans are getting worn, need more than two ice trays for making own ice, 6 wine glasses so you may need a few more if wine and big crowd, a larger pot needed for doing a seafood boil. A charcoal grill that could cook for 6 people, maybe 8 if doing hamburgers. Kuddos to Bryant RE for stepping up on a few cleaning needs and bringing us a broom and vacuum.

Great location; nice place

The property was as advertised. Very short walk to the beach and we were able to walk to the Carolina beach boardwalk and enjoy the nightlife. We had age range of 19-78 3 generations of family to celebrate a birthday! A couple friends also joined in and it was a comfortable fit in the house with 10 of us. I would say the patios could have a better seating arrangement to accommodate more people, but as a single family home; generally I can see the patios being comfortable. For 4-5 people. The gas grill was not useable but there was a small charcoal grill that we used and it did the job. We went for a long weekend and I will mention if you have a lot of people to make sure to bring garbage bags, hand soap, toilet paper and dishwasher soap/pods…there will not be extra. Overall I give the location and house a 10 out of 10!!!! Loved our stay and we all had so much fun.

Great location for the price

We had a great time and would stay again. The location to the beach was less than a 5 min walk. As well as a short drive to the Carolina Beach Boardwalk (walkable). It was convenient to check in and the home was exactly as pictured in the listing. Overall, a great stay!

It was across the street and three houses down from the very large main house we rented for a family gathering. The cottage ended up having some issues that made it uninhabitable until the issue was corrected. I explained the situation and the staff at the Carolina Beach office could not have been more helpful! They all jumped in to find a place that was as close as possible to the location we had. I could not have been happier with their concern and speed to rectify the situation. They were great. I would recommend them to everyone. The scores below are related to the house they found to move us to, not the one we were moved from.

Family vacation and get away.

Renting this property was easy and professional. There was no face to face contact. Everything was explained through email and was detailed and precise. The property was just as it was listed online. We were very impressed with the accommodation and the location. This is a property and agency we will consider for future vacations

Great Snapper House

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Close enough to walk to the beach, and a ice cream shop with hamburgers, and hot dog's l, and the best funnel cakes. Loved the house! Beautiful beach decor. We also had a great time kayaking at the state park off of Dow road only about 2 miles away. And fishing at the Kure pier was great too. Walk Fredrick rd to ice cream, and beach too if you want, I don’t drink but there is a nice outside bar on the beach there too.

Concerns

I had some concerns with the property and called after hours. I left a message and never heard back from the property management company. There was a lot of little things about the home that made the stay not so relaxing. Remote didn’t have batteries, inside and outside doors were very hard to shut and lock. Blinds were broken in almost every room, lamps broken, etc. It wasn’t very clean, and ants all over the kitchen counter tops when we arrived. It was very disappointing that we didn’t hear back from the property management company…

Close to the beach !

This property was so close to the beach ( less than a 5 min walk with loaded beach wagon and children) . It is close to bike trails and just several blocks away from the ice cream/shaved ice shop! A great place to stay!

Great first time experience in Carolina Beach

We decided to try a new vacation spot this year and are very happy with this location. This home is a good balance of affordability and location. The 2 block walk to the beach was very manageable with small children and we made the trip back and forth a couple of times a day, and it kept us from having to pay for beach parking. We also felt like being any closer would have been annoying with traffic and cars coming in to the beach, so this was quiet but close. This property was clean and cute and had almost everything we needed to cook multiple meals here. We enjoyed using the bikes provided to ride to a couple of stores or to get ice cream, but would recommend repairing the other bikes so that they can be used. Overall we had a great experience and would stay again.

Poor Customer Service

Originally rented another unit. 2 weeks prior property mgr emailed me that it was no longer available and if I wanted a refund. Fortunately another unit was available but not at the location I wanted. When we arrived at the real agent office, the agent was extremely rude and lacked customer skills. She needs training on how to deal with customers who paid a great deal of money to rent units from them. The bedspread in one bedroom was soiled which we immediately had to wash. The house itself was beautiful and fit our needs. The customer service needs to be improved!

Great Beach house

This is a great beach house. Not fancy, but very clean and well equipped . The mattress in the master was the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in away from home. Five minute walk to the beach. FANTASTIC!
