Beautiful home, excellent communication with the host. We didn’t use the pool but the area looked very nice and was just down the street. The outdoor shower was a nice feature. The kitchen was well stocked. My only complaint was the towels were very small, a couple were stained and one bathroom did not appear to be cleaned well, especially the toilet. There was also no dish towel for the kitchen which would be nice to have.

Thank you for the rental and glad you liked everything. Wish you would have notified us of any cleaning issues (and missing/stained towels) right away and I would have sent our cleaner over there immediately to resolve as that is unacceptable. Thanks!

Wonderful, stay.

We had a great experience at this house! It was clean, comfortable, and just a short walk to the beach. One of our favorite parts was seeing deer out back every morning-such a peaceful touch. Would definitely stay here again!

Our stay was wonderful! The home is well furnished, well stocked, and CLEAN! I hope to reserve the house for next year’s annual trip to 30A!

Our stay was great! The open living space was lovely, and the bedrooms were super comfy. It was mostly clean, though we found a bit of gunk on the staircase, some used soap in the showers, and a excess of sand in one of the beds (but hey, it's the beach!). The kitchen had everything we needed, but we had to buy extra toilet paper and dishwasher pods. Check-in and check-out were a breeze, and the beach was just a 10-minute walk away, depending on how much we were lugging!

Great host! Very responsive and accommodating, the home was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the backyard and the location and closeness to the beach was great! The wifi is very fast and was perfect for working from the house. Highly recommend staying here!

Great Time!

We stay in this neighborhood annually for the past 10+ years. Always at a different house. This house by far was our favorite. It was spotless, well stocked, and very comfortable. We plan on staying here next year as well!

The house was beautiful and the neighborhood quaint. The beach access was close enough to walk and not as crowded as public access points. The only downside was that the master bedroom is on the East side of the house, which means we were awake as soon as the sun came up. A bit of a bummer when you want to sleep in on vacation. But, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again if given the opportunity.

Owners are great to work with.

The walking distance to restaurants and shops is not bad at all. If you have a lot of beach gear it can be a bit difficult to get items down to beach as parking access is very limited. House will meet a family's needs with ease. Back porches for evening relaxation was nice.

Thanks for the review Angela and glad our home worked out well for you. You are correct on parking at the semi-private beach access but that is what keeps it private and not crowded. Just another block up the road is the main beach access with a lot of parking space for those who want to drive.

Highly flexible/responsive owners-great family location

So appreciated how responsive and flexible Matt & Kathy were. Their home was great-location to beach, charming decor, fully outfitted kitchen, outdoor shower, great porches-enjoyed sitting on back porch watching the herons in the late afternoon after the beach! Perfect house for the 6 of us. Thanks so much!

Beautiful Home

Our family loved this vacation. The house was beautiful and very clean. We rented bicycles to ride to the beach each day and to get coffee & ice cream. One evening when we were eating dinner on the back porch, we saw four deer come out of the woods on the other side of the pond. The neighborhood was very nice. My kids enjoyed the pools. Everything was convenient. We go to Florida each summer, and this may have been my favorite vacation. The owner was also quick replying to my two emails answering my questions before our vacation. I highly recommend staying here and would love to come back.

Super clean, spacious, & convenient

We loved our stay at Stu's Seashak! The property was spotless and had plenty of room for the 4 of us to spread out. The pictures accurately portrayed the property: the beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are clean and shiny. Additionally, the location was perfect for us. It's in a quiet neighborhood, but Gulfview Heights Beach Access is an easy bike ride to the east and Gulf Place shops and restaurants and Ed Walline Beach Access are an easy bike ride to the west. Lastly, the community is gated and cozy, so it's really easy to walk to one of the 2 pools (which we did more than once a day!). We would definitely stay here again!

Family fun

My family and I enjoyed staying here very much. The house comfortable and clean. I like a rental house with tile/wood floors and leather/wood furniture. We cooked several meals at the house which was nice. One night, we picked up fresh seafood at Goatfeathers to cook on the grill. Most of the time we had one of the neighborhood pools to ourselves. Everyone in the neighborhood was very friendly. The walk to the beach was very nice, no need to drive and park. The ocean was calm and beautiful. My kids saw a loggerhead turtle swim by them.

Great house in an excellent location for Santa Rosa Beach

Excellent communication throughout, with no issues, just questions. This home is in a walkable neighborhood that is about a 10 minute walk to 3 different beach access points. We enjoyed the "private" access on Spooky Lane as it was much less crowded, but the only on where there is no parking. (Parking at the other 2 is challenging and short term at best) The house itself is a great layout. We had a party of 7 with young adults, teens, and parents and had plenty of room. Very comfortable king-sized bed in the master. Everything in the listing is as expected. Modern appliances, cold A/C, nice gas grill. The kitchen has everything needed for long stay. Fantastic water pressure for your shower at the end of a long beach day. Seven thumbs up from our party of 7!

Nice home, great location. The distance to the private entrance on Spooky Lane was decent. Might be hard a really hot, sunny day for older folks or if you're taking a bunch of stuff, but get some bikes or rent a golf cart and you're set. There are a few restaurants also within walking distance or quick ride.I loved sitting out on the back deck that overlooked the lake, laden with lily pads. We saw a great white heron four mornings & some occasional deer. At night the frogs serenaded us--and one night the house across the lake (in a different neighborhood got pretty noisy (yelling and loud singing and music). But other than that, the neighborhood was pretty quiet and peaceful.The kitchen was well-stocked, offering lots of cooking utensils--pots and pans, bowls, dishes, plenty of glassware, etc. I love this because we do like to cook our breakfasts and most dinners during a long stay. I've been in places before that barely had pan to cook eggs. Really my only two suggestions: 1. Clean under the beds and nightstands. I dropped something on the floor by the bed and happened to catch a look under the bed--nasty with a thick layer of dust & dirt. Under the nightstand I found same, plus a crumpled receipt that wasn't mine.2. Add some more colorful decor/pictures. We had friends staying in a house a few doors down and it was so bright and beachy.

Great Place to Stay!

We enjoyed out stay! It was close to shopping, dining and the beach. Very cozy and comfortable. Enjoyed sitting on the back porch for morning coffee.

Very clean, great location!

Matt's house was perfect for our family vacation. House was super clean and had all the necessary amenities. Matt was also great. He was very responsive to a plumbing issue during our stay. The community is perfect with 2 pool very close by and 2 beaches within walking distance.

Size

The size of this property was ideal for the 7 people in our party. All adults. Could easily have slept 1 more comfortably. Lots of space so no one felt crowded.

GREAT PLACE TO STAY!

This house was very clean, spacious, and was exactly as advertised in the listing. The neighborhood was very nice and the people were very friendly. There are two pools in the neighborhood which was great. My teenage girls visited both pools which are very close to the house. My girls loved riding their bikes to and from the beach. The distance to the beach was no too bad. Just a short walk or bike ride. Overall, our experience was great and we enjoyed our stay for the week. We will be back!
