The Old Florida Cottages community is tucked away off a beach-end street, so the walk to the beach is easy and short, with no major roads to cross. Enjoy the large seasonally heated community pool and grilling area with covered pavilion and bathrooms.

Inside, the new flooring and coastal chic furnishings help make the open living and dining area adorable. The updated kitchen includes new countertops and appliances.

Upstairs, the primary bedroom, king, has its own private deck, as does the cute guest room, with a full-over-bunk, queen. A comfy sofa-sleeper is on the main floor. Wine Down comfortably accommodates 8 guests.

Although porches are everywhere, the extended back porch gets the most attention. Ample seating and a view of the sparkling community pool make this one a favorite.

The place was great and the location was fantastic! Ice cream and restaurants were in walking distance. Beach was also a super easy walk! The only complaint I have for the week is the lack is a food disposal in the kitchen. Thank you for sharing this place with our family!

Fall break vacation

We loved the cute neighborhood and the house was perfect size for our family of 5. Short walk to the beach and plenty of places to eat within walking distance. We enjoyed the community pool... we biked multiple times to seaside... we would love to go back soon!

Amazing location!

The perfect house for our family of 5! Location is perfect. Beach is a short walk or a 30 second drive in a golf cart! Pool is right out the back door! Close to shops, restaurants, and coffee! Kids (8,6,2) had the best time and loved the bunk beds. Nothing bad to say about this house!

Everything was Just Right

Property was just the right size and had just the right amenities we needed. Management was very responsive to a few minor issues that came up. House is in a good location. 3-4 minute walk to the beach and 15 minute walk to the Gulf Place area and steps from the 30A bike path.

Superb Location / Great Value

Nice petit space for my wife and our son. Great location, 2 blocks from the public beach. Management was super response. Cons: The refrigerator needs to be replaced. Cool at best. The upper bedrooms require window units due to poor HVAC systems. However, we slept "cold" every night. It was perfect overall.

Great Getaway

Comfortable little house with a pool nearby. Why not charge a few dollars more & leave enough toilet paper & dishwasher tabs for guests? Dust bunnies & sand noted under furniture while looking for toddler toys. Rent bicycles as the two bikes on site are in poor condition.

Beach Happy!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We went as a family of four (two kids under the age 8). The property was just as described! We felt like there was more than enough space to spread out and find a spot to spend time. We enjoyed that the pool was right behind us, this made it so nice. The landscaping and area of the houses was well maintained. We were in walking distance of the public access for the beach, restaurant, and also a rental place (we didn’t stop in but they have golf carts; beach gear), we were a short golf cart ride away from blue mountain creamery, blue mountain bakery, gulf place restaurants, and about an 8 minute golf cart ride to seaside. I will say that there aren’t any beach supplies in the house (eg chairs, umbrellas, beach toys) so keep in mind when packing! We were so happy with everything! Oversee made it so easy. We’re looking forward to a future stay.

Our family has treasured our stays at Wine Down Old Florida Cottages over the years, drawn by its lush landscaping, proximity to the beach, and once-comfortable, contemporary coastal decor. Each visit was a relaxing retreat—until this year. For the first time, we encountered significant issues that marred our experience, with the property in disrepair and community amenities poorly maintained, raising safety concerns.Property Issues:• Exterior: Peeling paint on entry stairs and back porch gave a neglected look.• Kitchen: Chipped mugs, random measuring cups, mismatched cookware, and peeling non-stick pans made cooking challenging.• Decor/Furniture: The charming wicker seating was replaced with uncomfortable backless stools and low-end vanity chairs. The sofa, part of a foldaway bed, lacked foam support, leaving only metal springs, making it unusable for seating.• Bedding: The primary king bed had zero loft or support, feeling like a worn-out efficiency mattress. The bunk mattress was equally unsupportive, leading to restless nights.• BBQ Grill: Non-functional pilot light, corroded burners, and grease buildup caused flare-ups. The sink faucet sprayer was clogged.Community Amenities:• Walkway: Upturned pavers to the pool posed tripping hazards.• Pool: Cloudy, untreated water with slime and seaweed; non-functional shower sprayers; flickering lighting.While the beach’s proximity was a saving grace, the property’s condition was disappointing.

We've organized the matching measuring cups and pans, and are looking into adding more cooking utensils to make meal prep even easier. We've inspected the sofa and can confirm the cushions have proper support. The grill has been serviced and is now working perfectly for guest use. We'll contact the community to ensure proper steps are being followed for guest use. We hope to have you return to our property for a much-improved stay!

Relaxing & Convenient

Wine down was perfectly suited for myself , wife, daughter & son in law . Convenient location to stores , restaurants & beach access. Kitchen was useful as was having a full size washer & dryer . AC worked well . Wine down was perfectly decorated and created a relaxing , quaint environment for us to enjoy our mornings & evenings as we spent more time inside than we would have liked , due to rain . Arrival experience was very easy . Condo had basic things to get our stay started before the Big store run ! Thanks again for a great experience & vacation. Louisiana residents .

May 2022 Stay

The upstairs shower curtain needs to be replaced and the floors need to be mopped. The dryer repair guy did a great job. Overall a good stay, anytime we needed something management was there to help.

This was a wonderful location and beautiful property! The management helped with any questions we had so quickly. My family had such a great experience that we extended a night! 9 days in this amazing place. The pool and community grill made everything so convenient along with the extremely close beach access! This is the perfect location for our family!
