Great location, steps from a nice beach. Beautiful views of the ocean and the sunset. Quiet area. Two private small decks, off kitchen and living room. An odd air conditioner drain does drain every now and then onto the kitchen deck by the door.Plenty of towels were provided and nice amenities in the bathroom. Beach chairs were available for use too. Bed was comfortably firm and pillows were nice. Kitchen had a pop up toaster and a keurig coffee maker plus microwave, new stove and spotless refrigerator. Host left nice snacks for us with a good list of local restaurants and activities. We liked Scallys and the Whydah Pirate Museum. Very responsive communication. A clogged drain was fixed with a few emails one morning while we were out touring the area.Bedrooms are both upstairs and are small but waaay bigger than what we saw in the city condo rentals. Shoulder season rates were cheaper than a boring hotel without an oceanview.

We had a wonderful stay at the Beach Bank Cottages! It is in a great location, particularly since we wanted to get to the JFK Museum and Martha's Vineyard. The cottage is bright and comfortable. There are a few minor updates like blinds and minor AC and beach chair repairs, and new towels that are needed soon (admittedly we were there at the end of the Summer), but we will always remember the bridge to the beach, looking out to the beach from the porch and every room, and all of our special and fun moments on Cape Cod! Thank you, Darlene!

Property and location was amazing. Very peaceful and close to the beach. Very clean and stocked with the right amount of stuff from beach chairs, towels, kitchenware, games and we even received a goodie bag of snacks! I would definitely stay here again in the future!

Perfect beach rental

The property was in great shape, clean, right next to the beach, had everything we needed for us and our toddler. Great restaurants nearby (amazing bagel/coffee shop 5min walk) and an easy trip to other parts of the cape. Definitely recommend it!

Cute little spot with just enough charm to make up for the quirks. Chairs were broken and the windows wished they had screens, but the stay still delivered on cozy vibes and a peaceful escape. Sometimes “sufficient” is all you need.

Friendly neighborhood

Cute, quiet town beach a few minutes away. Close to several restaurants and mini golf. Comfortable accommodations with some issues. Not sure how this rated a 10/10. Communication was sometimes slow. This cottage is on street side, not ocean side. Pictures online taken after last remodel are inaccurate and old. Floor shows wear, needs repairs, such as cracked bathroom window, window shades in each room have broken parts. First sliding door does not have screen (it’s under deck), kitchen sliding door screen is off track and difficult to open. Does not have central air (broken for 3 years). Portable a/c stopped working in bedroom and tv room. Darlene said she’d send a handy man out and told us we could stay late on our last day instead of 11:00 check out, but didn’t happen so we left at 1:00. Beach chairs are rusted and broken. A/c units drain onto both little decks, so cannot sit on decks without getting splashed. Draining a/c has caused aging to decks. Needs a deep clean such as base boards, window ledges, window shades. Kitchen floor needs refinishing. Some ants. Glass front entrance door needs replacement. Sticks, difficult to open and close, no screen. Front door needs shade or curtain for privacy- people entering cottages walk directly in front of door.

Just ok.

The cottage we were given was not beachfront it was in the rear on the street. The kitchen was sparsely equipped and the grills were unusable. There was construction of a new house all week next door so was not very relaxing outside. We made the best of it. Place was clean. Wouldn’t rent there again.

This was our first time staying at this property and it exceeded our expectations . The cottage was so clean and nicely decorated. The location was perfect and we spent everyday at the beach . The host was so responsive and answered all questions . Looking forward to coming back next year

Nice House for a Quiet Vacation

The house was very close to the beach as was parking. The location was convenient for our day trips too. Chairs, umbrellas, and other items for the beach were provided. The house was clean and inviting. The manager communicated with us through email and was friendly and helpful

Could have been better

I was really looking forward to this stay. But the beds were too firm and the ACs were not that great. The beach was rocky and there were signs about sharks and jelly fish. It was next to a very muddy marsh. I left one day early.

Wonderful spot -- perfect for a small family. There were a couple of hiccups (through no one's fault), but Darlene was very responsive and an attentive, thoughtful host. Would definitely consider booking again next year.

Most Excellent Stay!

Location was exceptional - its proximity to the beach gave us quick access to morning nature walks, evening strolls and Labor Day fireworks!~ Host went above & beyond to welcome us and the birthday boy with the most thoughtful surprises. He said it was his best birthday in decades. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay, the amenities and access to the beach. Highly recommend this property to anyone looking for an amazing weekend at Cape Cod.

Weekend getaway

The property was perfect for the 4 of us. Proximity to the beach is amazing and it's great to not have to drive to get there. The beach is really nice and being on the bay the water was warm and not to choppy. Also, the location is close to some great restaurants and mini-golf and a short ride to Hyannis.

Another perfect stay!

Our second visit, and again - perfect. Location cannot be beat - residential area, 2 minute walk to quiet, serene Colonial Beach, nearby to Hyannis and ferries. Home is lovely, immaculately clean, and adorably decorated. Kitchen is well stocked with pans/utensils, and grills for use at common area. Sheets, towels, umbrella, and chairs provided. Communication with owner easy & prompt. All around excellence!
