Could not stay

Unfortunately the property was under going some construction and did not look safe to stay once some work is done it may be improved, I think the renovations should be finished before trying to have guests. Although the owners refunded us it left us without a place to stay which was a little bit stressful.

This is a completely false review. First of all, guest who didn't stay at the house should not be able to leave a review because she couldn't provide any useful information for the future guest. Vrbo shouldn't have this function enabled. Eva lied about the construction. We didn't have construction going on. We remodeled the bathroom and the job was finished before they arrived, and her mom even used the bathroom! She also lied in the review because she found a place within an hour of leaving her luggage at my house before checking in time and wanted to find something better. The guest arrived 3 hours earlier than the check in time, while we are still cleaning. Her mom didn't like the fact we don't have AC, but she should be aware of this fact when booking. We have strict non-refundable policy but I still gave her full refund after she decided not to stay. In return of my full refund, she left a false and horrific review. I don't recommend any host to accept her booking for being so ungrateful. Because of people like Eva led me the choose strict cancelation policy, she just pushed me over to the determination of not giving any refund whatsoever, since I would get an unfair, untruthful and unrealistic review ANYWAY, at least I have some financial compensation.

Great stay

Great place for walking everywhere. Patio was very relaxing. To bad the morning rush hour of motorbikes was early. If there were cruiser bikes to use it would of been ideal, but the five minute walk to beach was awesome! Would definetely stay again and hopefully longer.

We fell in love with Nosara when attending friend's wedding. The place is always magical for the group of us who enjoy surfing and exploring nature.

The house is a landmark of the beach community. Designed by famous Costa Rican architect Julia Van Wilpe and built by her husband, this house was the first house they built. It utilize the natural ocean breeze for cooling, and all the materials are locally sourced. Large window frames on both side of the room create an indoor-outdoor feeling, and this concept has been replicated by many beach houses in the region. The thick mango trees provide natural green curtains, create a sense of isolation and make you forget you are right in the town center of all the happenings.

Wake up naturally to the songs of the birds and monkeys, take a short walk down to the beach. Grab hearty tico breakfast down the street or get an artisanal coffee and fresh juice. Catch some waves and enjoy the magical sunset view. This house is everything that represent an authentic Costa Rica getaway experience.
