On the advice of friends, my husband and I decided to stay in Kailua on our first trip to Hawaii. We wanted to avoid the hustle and bustle of Waikiki and we wanted a place that had a full kitchen and WiFi. Coconut Corner gave us that and much more. It was a home away from home, with plenty of space, a fully-stocked kitchen, easy parking, everything you needed for a day at the beach, a comfortable king-size bed (a bit too soft for my husband's back, but I was fine), helpful neighbors, WiFi, cable TV, and songbirds to wake you every morning. It also was a great location from which to explore the entire island. All roads (and they are ALL stunningly beautiful) seem to lead back to Kailua. We got up each morning and walked to Muddy Waters to get coffee, then walked down to Kailua Beach for a stroll. Folks were friendly in this residential neighborhood...you may hear an occasional dog bark, or motorcyle, or leaf-blower, but we found it easy to get a wonderful night's sleep and felt rested and relaxed to start our adventures each day. The windward breezes and ceiling fans kept us very comfortable, and we never needed to turn on the AC. Greg and his family gave us plenty of privacy, but were more than helpful with travel and traffic advice, directions, restaurant recommendations, etc. We were very happy with our Coconut Corner experience and can highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Kailua. Mahalo to Greg and the family for helping to make our first trip to Hawaii so special. We appreciate it!
