Beautiful view! Well stocked place—even with 30 people we never ran out of tp or garbage bags. The beach was close and fun! We loved the time we had there.

We had an amazing time at this home. Big family group. This property is truly secluded from any others so you have absolutely privacy. The views from this place are absolutely amazing.House was perfect, clean, roomy, plenty of place for everyone and lots of fun stuff to do.Also few minute drive to Rendezvous Beach, Laketown, and Garden City.Tawni was great getting us all the info we needed!I recommend this property.

Great family reunion spot

This house was great for our family reunion. We loved the view and we had a blast playing games in the yard. It was a great place to host our large group.

Plenty of space

We all enjoyed our stay. There was plenty for all to do and the adults loved not having to worry about the noise the kids made because we were so far away from any neighbors yet it was just a short drive to the beach.

Bear Lake memories

The house had plenty of space for our family. We loved the beautiful views from all windows. We loved the volleyball, teetherball and game room options. We’ll definitely want to rent again

The perfect home to create the perfect trip!

We absolutely loved this house! It is on top of a little mountain overlooking bear lake. The home was wonderful and the management team was super responsive. The home was perfect for our large group and so close to the beach at bear lake. We had a so much fun and we will definitely be back. You won’t be disappointed with this house!

Amazing stay with a more amazing view!

The home has an amazing view from above Bear Lake! We had a family gathering and had plenty of room for all and plenty of activities to do in the home and in the yard. It was great alowing the kids to be paying loudly out in the yard at night without worrying about bothering neighbors. Rendezvous beach is only 10 minutes away with boat rentals and a great beach. We had a quick storm roll in and out after being on the beach and the home was a great place to watch the beauty of it! This is an amazing home and an amazing view of the lake and area! I would recommend this stay to anyone.

Great for Girls Camp

The place has plenty of space! We loved having the mountain to ourselves. It was about a 20 minute hike down to the water for our polar plunge. Breathtaking views in all directions. Make sure to bring bug spray because we were swarmed with mosquitos. We had a great time and highly recommend this place!

Welcome to the Bear Lake Pit

Over two miles of dirt road that leads to the Bear Lake Rock Pit, the road continues on up the mountain to the top with an excellent view of the lake, but you cannot see the house until after passing the rock pit/quarry. No HVAC except in to bedrooms.

The view of Bear Lake from the entire back side of this house is simply unparalleled! We enjoyed the space so much. We brought a family of 16 to stay for two nights after a full day of playing on the beach. We planned to spend a second day at the lake, but everyone was so content to remain at the house, we didn't make it down to the beach the next day.The owner, Tawni, was so responsive and kind. We appreciated how easy she was to contact and provide answers. Thank you, Tawni!We had very few complaints, but the house listing indicating there are "8 single beds in the room under the stairs" was a misleading way of saying there are eight foam mattresses stacked in a closet. I expected we had two kid rooms for the seven children we brought. The four bunk beds worked beautifully, but that left three kids who either had to bunk with parents on futons or on the livingroom floor on a mattress. Neither were very well received by the three youngest. :)There was a Roku box connected to the TV but there was NOT a Roku remote anywhere in the house. Luckily, the game room and the great backyard offered enough amusement, we didn't have to resort to plopping kids in front of the television while the adults played games.The house was well-stocked with dishes, utensils, and pans, but not serving bowls. If you are bringing a crowd to this house, bring the bowls you'll need for salads, etc.My family would be thrilled if we could get this house again next summer!

Great place for solitude

We had our family reunion at Bear Lake—just under 40 of us. The property worked out extremely well. Lots of space, a great view, and solitude for days. We didn't have to worry about anyone being annoyed with us for how noisy we all were. Be advised - there is only A/C in the top two bedrooms, and it can get warm at night if you can't get a breeze. We did have a leak in the roof on the last day, but it didn't damper our spirits though it did interrupt the festivities until we got it under control. Who knew we could get rain in August!

Family Reunion

There were mice in the master bedroom. Barbeque grill had to be cleaned before we could use it. The fan in the living room didn't work and the cabin got pretty hot at times. There were a few things that could have been cleaned a little better. I reported these things and a few other small things to Kaci and she was very understanding and indicated she would take care of it. I enjoyed visiting with her. She was very kind and easy to talk and explain our concerns to. Overall everything went well and we had a good stay.

The property was beautiful and the views were amazing. Most of the beds were comfortable but saying sleeping accommodations for 40 was a bit of an exaggeration. Luckily the little guys didn’t mind camping out on the floor.Walking distance to the beach would be for physically fit people as it was a definite no for the older person(me) in the group. The best beach nearby was rendezvous state park, but we had a great time there on our one full day,The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cooking supplies and we made use of all of it.We enjoyed the little ground squirrels who came out to see what all the commotion was about. We would have enjoyed having the clear windows and railings cleaner but it wasn’t a deal breaker.The power went out Saturday for a little over two hours but it appears that was a local power outage and not the fault of the property.For the most part it was a lovely stay for my large families reunion.

Hire a new cleaning company

The house is absolutely beautiful. It’s very functional and has everything you need for a great time. However, it was really dirty. The cleaning company is not doing their job. There were things that hadn’t been cleaned in quite some time and other things that should have been noticed even if it was just from the last renter. Trash from other guests were left in drawers and under beds and couches. I don’t think they had swept or vacuumed. There were dirty dishes in the cupboard and we honestly questioned if the sheets were clean. I don’t blame the owner of the property but want them to know that the cleaning company they are paying is doing a very poor job.

We rented to this family under very critical circumstances. We tried to have them cancel because a plumbing problem, but they insisted on coming because they had planned for family pictures etc. The water was not turned on until 15 minutes before they got there. The cleaning company had to take everything off site, but did leave clean laundry and towels and did the best they could under the circumstances. We warned them that things would not be perfect and even refunded $100 of their cleaning deposit. We felt it would have been better to have canceled the reservation. We would probably not rent to them again.

Family Reunion

The floor plan was great. The perfect number of bedrooms and bathrooms. The number of tables and chairs for eating was also great. However, the VRBO property description lists a Hot Tub (which over the years has been a deal breaker) but NO HOT TUB. The 8,000 ft. home has air conditioners in the 2 upstairs bedrooms ( which didn't work) and nowhere else in the home. We tried opening up as many windows as possible (it was 85 to 90 degrees on the days that we were there), but most of them didn't have screens. So we either cooked or were deluged by mosquitoes and flies. So we cooked. We loved the seclusion and location of the home, but no towels in the kitchen, No large bags for garbage. One roll of paper towels in the kitchen. etc. All in all was very disappointing, but the price was nice!

We are sorry that this guest did not call the managers on the issue of the screens and the air conditioning. The breaker had not been turned on yet. The guests after this group called and we were able to remedy both issue quickly. The ad in VRBO said we have a "jetted tub" in the master bedroom, which we do. There is no indication of a hot tub. We stock the kitchen each time with paper towels on the counter and under the sink, kitchen towels in the drawers and large garbage bags also under the sink. We feel one phone call would have taken care of all the issues.

Cleanliness needs improvement.

The setup of the house was very fun for our group but there were some issues with cleanliness. The dish washer was full of mold, I think it probably wasn’t used throughout the cold winter months and was moist inside causing the problem. There was used bars of soap left in two different showers and also a swimsuit. The showers were definitely not cleaned before we arrived. There was also hair in a number of bathroom drawers that just didn’t get wiped down. The manager was kind when we told her of the issues and agreed that there were some issues that should be addressed but when we reached out to the owner she seemed very defensive and not really all that nice. She did send the manager to the house to put some cleaner in the dishwasher and let it run a cycle thinking that should take care of the problem but it didn’t, the problem was much bigger. They did remove the used bars of soap and replaced them with some body wash. The owner told us she could send someone to wipe out drawers if we wanted to pay for it. She did offer to find another place for us to stay if we were truly not happy. With a big group that was already unpacked it would have been another challenge. We stayed we had a good time but was disappointed in some of the issues.

To be blunt and honest - we were disappointed. We are very easy going people but there are too many issues to ignore. At one time you had a jewel. Now you have a tarnished stone. Here are the things that were very frustrating and should be fixed if you intend to continue to use this house as a short term rental. Bedding and pillows- you seriously need to upgrade the bedding, sheets, and ESPECIALLY the pillows. The pillows are garbage, borderline criminal. The pillows are like tissue paper. Air conditioning was never fixed in the west upstairs bedroom. Very disappointing. Also the ceiling fan in this room cannot be turned off and it squeaks. The ceiling fan in the east upstairs bedroom cannot be turned on. There was no soap or shampoo in several bathrooms. This is simple. Unacceptable Jack and Jill bathroom upstairs needs better locks. Multiple times people walked in on each other because they can’t be properly locked. A simple latch lock would solve this problem. When we arrived the floors were dirty and unswept. Dirt all over the front entrance (on the inside). Dirty towels were left in some bathrooms. Otherwise we really enjoyed the secluded location with no neighbors. If you are going to continue to charge the premium you’ve set for this location you need to provide premium amenities.
