Another relaxing stay

Patty and Rene are fantastic hosts. The trailer is wonderful and has everything you need to feel at home. Exactly what we needed to get away and enjoy the holiday weekend.

Wonderful place, Loved it.

Well equipped trailer and beautiful surroundings, very private place. Patty the owner is awesome, when we arrived she gave us a tour of the place and surrounding area. Definitely would be back if I’m in the area, much better staying here than a hotel.

Visiting family

We enjoyed our stay very much while visiting family. Just what we were looking for, a quiet, restful place out of the city with lots of trees and space. Felt like home. Thank you Patty and Rene for letting us extend our visit, it was appreciated.

Summer Comfort

Cool & peaceful in the caravan - with much fun Gold Panning on the Bear River. Deer bucks I saw here in early Spring now have racks & the local veggie gardens are bursting out of their deer proof cages. So pleasurable!

My stay was more a DIY-Retreat. It was bliss to step in to a clean, well maintained & stocked dwelling (with a Kitchen!). So much better value than the substandard motel I had just come from. Add in the quiet, dark night sky, and the Trees - you have Beauty to walk. Can’t say enough good things about the Hosts – Very accommodating and Hospitable. So pleased, I will be back on a regular basis.

Great communication. The area is better than I could have asked for. Close to all your needs but far enough away to escape the rat race. I stayed here this time for 5 weeks. I loved it enough to come back later next year. Great for small family vacation, students or traveling medical professionals.

Great Little Place!

The Prowler Trailer was just as described! Was perfect for me - I was in the area visiting friends for a few days, but wanted my own place to go back to at night. The trailer was perfect - quiet setting, nice little deck, well-equipped. The bed was really comfortable, hot water didn't run out during my shower, well-equipped kitchen. And you can't beat the price!

Relaxing stay

This was our 2nd time staying at the Prowler Trailer. Patty and Rene are great hosts and their property is beautiful. The trailer is so cute and clean. It was a relaxing and enjoyable weekend!

Amazing experience

The location and place were awesome how ever both Patty and Rene were amazing couldn't have asked for a better experience. It was a pleasure speaking with them every time. They were so attentive and helpful. I will definetly be coming back very very soon.

Perfect property for us

Wife and I were on our annual gold panning road trip to California. This property had exactly what we needed to accommodate our needs. COVID friendly, very serene on a lovely piece of property and very central to our favorite gold panning river as well as local grocery and restaurant needs. Owners were a really nice couple ready to meet any of our needs. We will most definitely return next year.

weekend nature getaway

The trailer is very clean, everything is scrubbed very well. This is a nice cozy place for 2 people to stay. All necessities are there, if what you want is to spend time with the nature. The property has lots of trees, it's nice to relax under them and enjoy the greenery. There are a few hikes nearby. Patty was responsive, gave us the tour of the trailer and explained everything we needed to know. This was an adventure for us as we never stayed in the trailer before, and we enjoyed our first time. For what we needed it was perfect: we connected with the nature, relaxed quite a bit, forgot about work and all the daily chores.

A little piece of paradise

Great little trailer and property. Patty met us after dark and gave us the tour to make sure we settled in okay. The property is in the country, but very close to the freeway. So, you have a country feel but quick access to destinations. Great central location to take advantage of many Sierra activities. I like to prospect, so quick access to Bear & North Fork American rivers. Grass Valley & Nevada City only 20 minutes away. Look forward to return next summer with my 15 year old son.

My husband and I are retired now and recently moved to the area of Colfax. Both of us being amateur landscape photographers makes this area the perfect location. We love the quiet and peaceful life here which makes it possible to garden edible and flowering plants. Sharing this peaceful property with guests who appreciate nature is our goal. Being grateful everyday for good friends and happy moments is what we love.

This is the best neighborhood, quiet and rural. The minute we saw this property we knew we had to buy it. It is like being on vacation everyday here. There are so many wild animals all year round and wildflowers all Spring.

Mature forest trees and two meadows. Every season some tree or plant blooms or leafs out changing the look 4 times a year. Our climate is very neutral ranging from high 80's in the summer and low 30's in the winter.
