The property is great-roomy and well-equipped for all of our needs. The mattress and pillows were very comfortable. It was very clean and a great location. Our rental fell shortly after Hurricane Helene made landfall. We'd messaged the host on 9/29 to see if the property and area were okay. We live on the Gulf Coast and are very sympathetic to hurricanes. We hadn't heard back by 10/2, so I sent a cancellation request since it was the last day to receive a 50% refund. We wished them well and hoped that their family and homes were safe. I changed our flights, which required me to actually get on the phone with Delta and pay $200 as well as changed our rental car plans. Within a couple of hours of submitting my cancellation request, I received responses from 3 different people with the prop mngt co, telling us that they were sorry no one responded, but Savannah was up and running. I explained that we'd already changed all of our travel plans when we hadn't heard back from them. They apologized, but reminded me that today was the last day to receive a 50% cancellation refund, so to please let them know at my earliest convenience. I felt like no one replied until they were possibly going to have to give me our 1/2 of our money back, then rushed me to make a decision. I basically reversed all of our travel plans (to the original plan) but never got my money back for flight changes. It was very frustrating. I also never heard back when I texted & messaged about check-out procedures.
