Maison et propriétaire agréables. Un très bon séjour pour toute la famille malgré le temps pas toujours au rdv. Attention pour les enfants prévoir jouets, jeux de sociétés, livres et dvd pour leur soirée relax, car ceux sur place sont tous en anglais. Sinon rien à redire tout était parfait

Très belle maison ! Que du bonheur

Nous recommandons sans hésiter cette location. La maison est spacieuse et bien équipée. La piscine est propre. Elle n’est pas chauffée mais baignable sans problème en été. Les environs sont calmes et reposants. Tout le monde s’y retrouve : baignades kayaks vélo repos visites !

LOCATION AGRÉABLE

Une belle maison adjacente à celle des propriétaires, avec la coté pratique des 3 chambres avec 3 salle de bains et 3 toilettes à l'étage, plus un toilette en bas! La maison est spacieuse , bien équipée, mais attention il n'y a pas de sèche linge et le frigo est très petit.. La piscine est assez grande et le mobilier extérieur est de qualité. Tous les commerces sont à Chateauneuf , à 5 km. De belles balades à pieds à partir de la maison dans la campagne ou le long de la Charente. Nous venions en famille profiter du calme de la campagne, mais entre la réfection de la toiture chez les voisins, maison accolée à la piscine et le terrassement d'une terrasse chez les propriétaires, ça a un peu gâché notre 2eme semaine. Les extérieurs de la maison mériteraient un bon d'entretien et la propreté de la cuisine n'était pas au top. Vu le tarif de la location, j'étais un peu déçue. Mais les propriétaires (anglais) sont très sympathiques, très réactifs et sincèrement désolés de la gêne causée par les travaux. Sinon une belle location, bien décorée, avec beaucoup d'espace pour 6 personnes .

Luxe huis op prachtige locatie

Mooi ruim huis. Alles schoon en fris bij aankomst. Fijn zwembad en rustige omgeving. Zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame eigenaren. Mooie omgeving.

Ideal for a family holiday

Quiet location - except for one night with noisy neighbours! Good area for cycling and lots of nice picnic areas by watet. Good for walking. House well appointed and the downstairs in particular was COOL. Much appreciated when the temp got to 39C! Owners next door and very helpful. Thoroughly recommend.

Great property for a relaxing stay

This is a really nice property, its spacious and well equipped with great pool and outside areas. Whilst a little remote it's rural location does mean its super peaceful and your not disturbed by the usual traffic, people etc which was exactly what we were looking for. It's within pretty easy car reach of various bakers and supermarkets and there are some (although not many) nice places to eat out within easy reach, but there is no public transport and we were unable to arrange taxis so you will definitely need a car staying here. There was no real area / property information folder that you often find with rental properties, which was a little surprising, but the hosts were responsive to any questions we asked. Our only negative, and this is a small one, was a lack of some basics on arrival (e.g. soap / toilet paper) which could have been a challenge if we'd arrived late and the supermarkets were not open however, this would not stop us staying here again nor recommending it to anyone else. All in all a really enjoyable stay.

très grande maison au calme bien équipée, à part peut être le frigo un peu trop petit pour 5 mais il va être changer très propre, avec des livres à dispo (en anglais) et des dvd (en anglais aussi) proprio accueillant et discret une adresse à conserver!

Prima huis, ruime keuken, eetkamer en zeer ruime woonkamer. Boven 3 slaapkamers met 2x klein 2persoonsbed en 1x 2 bedden. Een zwembad en een terras met leuk uitzicht. Heerlijk rustig!

Mon séjour

Charmante maison dans un petit village tranquille. Nous avons passé une semaine très agréable durant laquelle nous avons pu visiter la Charente sous un soleil bienveillant (rare cette année). La maison est grande, pratique, bien équipée (barbecue tous les soirs), la piscine trés agréable après une journée de ballade. Seul petit bémol les ampoules un peu faiblardes pour mon goût. Une excellente semaine de vacances.

15 jours de repos à la campagne

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour à la campagne en famille dans cette belle maison charentaise. Nous avons apprécié le confort de la maison , la piscine privée , le charme des vignobles et des champs de tournesols et le calme du village . Nous avons très bien été accueillis par la propriétaire et surtout par les voisins Danièle et son mari que nous remercions pour leur gentillesse . La télévision est en revanche uniquement en anglais mais personnellement nous n'avons pas eu le temps de la regarder . Nous recommandons cette location aux citadins souhaitant se ressourcer à la campagne .

Rural retreat

Large house with 3 brm sand 3 bathrooms. Good kitchen. We did not use the pool but it had just been cleaned and it was the weather that stopped us from swimming. In the heart of Cognac region which is very beautiful. Great for bikes. Use have a car.

We are a family with of four, with two cats and three chickens at home in the UK. We have always loved France. My Dad was a teacher so I was brought up with the school French assistants living at home with us so I had a very early introduction to France and French life.
I introduced my partner, Bankie, to France shortly after we met and as he loved it too we decided to buy a home from home.
We are very family oriented and enjoy socialising and entertaining. Cooking and eating are our main hobbies!!
Our house is next door to the villa so we are often on hand to help out with any suggestions and bookings, if required.

When we started looking for a property in France we were advised by some very good French friends of ours where to look to find beautiful untouched landscapes close to places of interest and not too far from the coast. They recommended the Poitou-Charentes and we quickly found a house that we literally fell in love with. A true 'coup de coeur'.
The location offers the benefit of a semi-rural setting , surrounded by cognac vineyards, a wonderful selection of diverse activities and a full range of close amenities - from bakeries, to supermarkets and bi-weekly local town markets.
It is less than an hour west to the beautiful Grande Cote - including the famous La Palmyre Zoo - one hour north to the verdant Marais Poitevin and the Vallee des Singes and one hour south to the Bordeaux vineyards.
We are ideally situated for autoroute access, train travel and within 1-1.5 hours of three airports - Bordeaux, Poitiers and La Rochelle.
Situated in a small village the location is semi-rural and peaceful but alive.

Our property is a traditional Charentaise house built from the famous 'moellons' of the region. The thick stone walls ensure that the house is cool in summer and warm in winter.
Our love of France led us to create a beautiful villa in a true French style with an English touch. Each bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom and all of them are themed in relaxing colours with a blend of modern and traditional style
We have carefully created a villa that blends into the beautiful surroundings, providing a haven of tranquility and relaxation.
Peace and quiet is ensured along with the fact that children can play, all day, safely in the pool. Simple living; BBQ's and salads burst with flavour from the local produce.
The locally produced Pineau des Charente must be sampled (chilled of course). The climate is sublime!
