The villa was stunning! All of the amenities were as listed. There was plenty of room for 8 adults to gather without being cramped. Helen was extremely kind and responsive to all messages sent! The town of Salema is beautiful with several places to eat, drink and shop. There is also a large grocery store about 10 minutes drive away. The walk to and from the beach/town is STEEP! There are steps to the beach but in order to get to the steps it was about a 5 minutes walk from the house down a hill. Coming back up the hill was difficult but doable for an able bodied person. Taxis are available in town should you prefer a quick drive up the hill.Overall a fabulous stay! We would recommend this villa and booking with Helen!

Family Reunion

The villa was ideal for our family reunion. It has a variety of spaces to relax & eat in the sun or sheltered. We appreciated the location next to the natural park. Helen was generous in sharing her local knowledge.

Great vacation house

The house was very nice, I would say even nicer than the pictures! Everything was clean and ready for us when we arrived. The views were really great! The only point to improve I would say is the directions to arrive to the apartment. Was a bit confusing! But we arrived :)

Lovely Villa with beautiful views over Salema

We had a fantastic holiday in the Algarve using Helen's villa as our base. The villa is very nicely decorated and furnished and contained everything we needed for our stay. The welcome pack that was present when we arrived was appreciated and meant we didn't need to rush straight to the shops. The views from the two bedrooms at the front are beautiful, and my wife and I enjoyed watching the sunrise from the balcony. The beach is a 5-10 min walk down through the steps between the villas. The walk back up is good exercise, but may be tougher for the less able. There is a small supermarket in Salema which you could use if you didn't want to hire a car. But I would recommend renting one to allow you to get to the larger towns and supermarkets. In summary we had a wonderful holiday at Helen's villa; I would very much recommend booking it, and would definitely go back again myself.

Alojamento e piscina muito limpos, bem equipada.O único senão foi o acesso à praia. A casa como fica no cimo de uma colina ( Última rua ) só podíamos ir de carro para a praia. Fora isso foram umas férias excelentes.

Casa fantástica pra férias, proprietário sempre disponível pra qualquer duvida . Localização TOP , praia espectacular longe da multidão de Portimao e outros. Na casa tem todo o necessário desde louça a toalhas de banho . Nada a ajustar , recomendo ! Obrigada por tudo !

Very pleasant stay

The house is extremely cosy, well decorated, simple and with taste and has everything necessary for a comfortable stay, including a blender, orange juice machine and a mixer, which is not very usual in a vacation place but an added value. The swimming pool is very inviting, and my family and friends spent a very good time there. For guests with kids and teenagers the propriety offers some entertainment such as ping pong table, a volley ball, and toys to play at the beach. Unfortunately, the windy nights did not allow to use the outdoor table but should be very pleasant to enjoy a meal or a drink there. The internet is stable and has a good speed. The location at the house is on a hill and that might be an issue if you have people with less mobility joining your stay. However, it is not difficult to find a parking place closer to the beach where restaurants are also located. If you wake up easily with the day light, then be ready to start the day very early as the light goes through the window with the sunrise. Overall, we all had a wonderful stay, and we recommend renting this place

Wir können Salema und die Villa für einen Familienurlaub bestens empfehlen

Helen, wir haben in Deiner Villa in Salema mit vier Kindern und drei Erwachsenen einen wunderbaren Sommerurlaub verbracht. Die Villa ist sehr hübsch eingerichtet und mit allem ausgestattet, was wir benötigt haben. Die Lage oberhalb des kleinen Ortes ist ruhig, wir hatten einen tollen Blick auf das Meer. Zum Salema Strand und auch zu einer kleinen benachbarten Bucht konnten wir mühelos zu Fuß gehen, der Rückweg ist etwas beschwerlicher, weil es dann recht steil bergauf geht. Den Pool haben hauptsächlich die Kinder genutzt, um sich zu erfrischen. Im Dorf gibt es nette Bars und Restaurants, vielen Dank, Helen, für Deine guten Tipps. Auch für sonstige Rückfragen warst Du immer sofort ansprechbar, vielen Dank! Wir können Salema und die Villa für einen Familienurlaub bestens empfehlen.

Absolutely perfect villa for the family, it is brilliantly functional with lots of wonderful spaces

We highly recommend this villa; a great seaside town and this wonderful villa has everything you could want to make the most of a relaxing stay. The views are beautiful, the kitchen is well-equipped, the pool is clean and well-sized and the bedrooms are excellent!

Paradise

We have just returned from a wonderful week in this idyllic spot on the Western Algarve. We were a group of 7, parents with young adult children and partners, and the villa was perfect for our requirements. Everything we needed was provided and it was tastefully furnished in cool, clean colours. The pool was essential as we were there in a particularly hot spell and we also enjoyed a daily dip in the sea. The walk down to the beach is straightforward - the return was slightly challenging in the heat but it did us the world of good! We could have driven down to the village as there seemed to be parking available but we never did. The large dining table on the pool patio was just right for evening BBQs and then a late swim, the patio on the front perfect for al fresco breakfast. The balcony off the main bedroom has the most amazing view and I never tired of sitting there watching the boats and the beach whilst sipping my early morning tea or early evening Vino Verdhe. We will definitely be returning as there is still so much of the coastline to explore. Thank you for a wonderful family holiday.
