2015年に建てられた、新しい1300平方フィートの美しい1ベッドルームの1階のアパートは、100フィートのドック、ティキバー、砂浜の景色を眺めることができます。リビングルームにゲスト用のクイーンサイズのソファーベッド2台、花崗岩のカウンタートップ、ステンレス製電化製品、ガスコンロ、食器洗い機を備えたコンビネーションダイニングとキッチン、アパートにはLRの60インチテレビと寝室の48インチが完備されています。 シャワー付きのウォークインフルバス。 洗濯機と乾燥機を備えたランドリールーム。 バーベキューグリル。 たくさんのストレージ。 入り口から10段の駐車場。 ドックからの釣りはとても良く、夕焼けはゴージャス、マナティーとイルカ、海水ビーチ。 エマーソンポイントパークは1.6 km（1マイル）先にあり、素晴らしいウォーキングトレイルと砂浜、ピクニックテーブルがあります。

Perfect stay! The best part was that my dogs could be themselves (they are quite “talkative”) and I didn’t need to worry about bothering anyone. Beautiful property. We saw dolphins frequently in the river. We had the best time. Bev and Len went above and beyond for us. Thank you, Bev!

THis was a great place to stay. All the way from the ease of check in to the location. We brought our boat and had an awesome time fishing and cruising.

Nice place

The place was nice. Great fishing off the dock and location to stores and activities was great. The drive to the beach wasn’t bad at all. The owners do have animals upstairs that get a little rowdy…but other than that, it’s quiet.

Memorial weekend getaway

Great location for hiking, kayaking, fishing, and relaxing by the water. Publix is super close. Cannot comment on anything else nearby as our goal was to be mildly secluded. Emerson park was great. Our hosts were great! Property is super dog friendly. Loved all the oak trees around! Highly recommend.

Great apartment in great location!

This is a gem of an apartment in a unique location on Snead Island, FL. It is modern and well equiped. The living room looks right out on the river and the 100 foot dock and tiki bar. Best of all, you can bring your pets with you on vacation. Bev is the best hostess and will be sure to make your stay a good one. Come enjoy the feel of old Florida in this lovely apartment. You won't regret it!

Description of fishing pier inaccurate.It is a boat dock with piers that make it difficult to fish.Condition of outside property terrible.Had to listen to very loud foot steps coming from floor above for hours every day

As the owner I feel this poor rating is very unfair. I was frankly shocked when I read it. Robert wanted to book directly with me for another two months in the same apartment and receive a good deal. I said I was very sorry, but I only book through VRBO. It’s possible he was upset about my response. His request came two weeks into his stay so he could not have been unhappy with the residence. . Also the dock is incredible. Excellent condition, 100 ft long, nicely stained with shade overhang, Frontgate sofa, table & chairs, bench and fish cleaning station. Fresh running water and the fishing is wonderful. A fully equipped Tiki sits at waters edge with granite counters, sink with fresh water, fridge, ice maker, large gas grill and big screen TV. The apartment he stayed overlooks the water and has a special rock insulation and sound barrier system in the ceiling & walls. I asked the current resident and they say they hear no footsteps from above. The grounds are manicured and covered in 100 year old Oaks & Mango trees. If you are considering visiting Snead Island, please compare others past very favorable reviews to this one. Thank you.

A little piece of Heaven!

Len and Bev are the perfect host. They are always availed to answer any questions, etc. We spent a month and a half there and was there during Christmas. They put a beautiful Christmas tree on the beach and the tiki hut was decorated as well. The tiki bar is awesome! We had wonderful meals there and met a lot of good people who were staying in other units on the property. This place is very pet friendly. We had our two dogs with us. It’s a great place for pets. We had a 22ft boat with us that we were able to park at the dock. It was so nice having it right outside our door. Everything you need is in the apartment. It is very roomy. The pictures online don’t do it justice. I can’t say enough good things about the owners and the property. They make you feel like family. This place is a little piece of heaven!

nice pet friendly place

Most important for me is pet friendly without restrictions on size and number. I only have 2 ...25# and 60# lab but it's nice to know no limit. Must be honest that there was a 'wet doggy' smell but when we notified the owner she was very apologetic and got on to the problem as soon as we mentioned it. Seems maybe there was dog hair in the dryer exhaust that was damp from humidity. I like to be honest with reviews bc I appreciate fair reviews. The owner was readily available to help without being intrusive. I'm sure she would do anything for her guests.

Perfect alternative to a hotel!

We needed a comfortable and extended stay (10 days) for my husband to receive cancer treatment and wanted to have space to enjoy instead of a hotel room and hopefully a water view. We got that and more! The place is as advertised- better actually. Plenty of space inside for many more than we had (my husband and I and then I switched out with our 19 year old son). Furniture is comfortable, kitchen well equipped, very clean. Space outside may be shared with a few other guests on property: dock seating, beach area and in Tiki hut but plenty of room and everyone friendly. Hosts Bev and Len were so helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Would stay again if available for our next visit!

Snead Island

This is a great spot if you’re looking for a old Florida feel while having work done at Snead Island Boatworks. It is an apartment below the main house and so you will hear noises from upstairs but we didn’t find it to be disturbing. The owners are lovely and rescue dogs. So there is always something happening around the property with her rescues. Our dog enjoyed the company.

Spectacular views, quiet and relaxing

We had a wonderful time staying at the apartment. The owners were wonderful hosts and checked with us to be sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We enjoyed spending time on the dock and at the tiki hut. The owners had a garden and shared some of their produce with us, as well as fresh picked coconuts from their trees.

Very pet friendly and in a beautiful location!

The property owners are fantastic and make you feel very welcome. My husband and I with our dog rented the apartment for 6 months while having a house built and it felt like a home away from home.

Waterfront Apartment

This was our first winter in Florida and we made the right choice in accommodations. This large, ground floor apartment offered many amenities from access to a large backyard with views of the Manatee River, a large dock for fishing, a sandy private beach, and the private Tiki bar. Situated in a quiet neighborhood on Snead Island but close to many attractions, Tampa Airport, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Sarasota, and much more. For those that like to spend time walking or biking on nature trails, Emerson Point Reserve is just around the corner. Bev and Len were the ultimate hosts, making us very comfortable, spending cocktail hour with us on the dock watching the sunset. They were attentive to any needs we may require. Our fur baby loved the large yard, chasing squirrels, cooling off in the river and sleeping on the dock. What a wonderful two month stay we had at this comfortable apartment....highly recommended.

Awesome 3 month stay!

Ground floor apartment is nicely furnished and well maintained. I stayed with my Two Giant Schnauzers and Mini Schnauzer and had a fantastic time! Owners are on site and cater to any need that may arise. Great access to their private beach, private Tiki bar, huge yard. Very dog friendly! However, please don't mess it up for us that love this place by bringing a destructive, bad behaved dog(s) or human! The owners are GREAT hosts and made me feel right at home. I highly recommend this property.

Bev has been a Florida resident for 40 year. They both love the area, know it well and are happy to share their knowledge with travelers to our sunny state. Len, inventor of The Tundra Buggy, resided in Manitoba Canada most of his life. He used his invention to take many people on expeditions to view and photograph Polar Bears. Bev is the founder and President of Everglades Angels Dog Rescue, an all volunteer charity that rehabilitates and re-homes badly abused dogs, dumped in the Everglades.

It is old world Florida, the perfect place to relax, unwind and forget the rest of this crazy world. Very little traffic on the island, aside from some happy travelers on golf carts. You can do as you please, read a good book, enjoy the sunset, watch the dolphins drift by or catch some fish.
