Because of storms and squalls it was necessary to leave the pool cover off at night which meant that the pool lost the heat it had gathered during the day. We are so pleased you had a lovely time and got to see some of the wonderful chateaux and bastide towns in the vicinity. The Dordogne "Out of Season" is delightful and Les Niches offers tremendous value for money at this time of year and in early Spring. For me this is the best of times in the real France.

Today is the anniversary of our precious daughter-in-law's death and is still a difficult time. To receive comments and praise as we just have restores the balance and lifts us a little. The area is beautiful and the village is very peaceful but there is lots to do home and away from Les Niches. Thank you for your feedback which is appreciated. We certainly agree that the Grappe D'Or is fabulous with it's choice of traditional regional fare. The never-ending grape-pickers soup is a delicious meal in itself. Hopefully you will return to Les Niches and the area.
