The views from the living room and upstairs master bedroom are spectacular. There is a rocky area just off the beach that grows and shrinks with the tide. We watched seals, otters, and an eagle use it as a resting spot. Bring your binoculars! It's on a quiet, dead-end street, so we all slept well. The house was about 20 minutes away from all the places we wanted to visit during our 5-day stay: airport, Butchart Gardens, and downtown Victoria. It easily accommodated our party of 5 adults, including my 93-year old mother, who uses a walker. The downstairs shower is big enough for a shower chair. (We ordered it from Amazon to be delivered there, and the owner was nice enough to accept delivery the day before our arrival). It has a well-equipped kitchen, although we only cooked breakfast. For regular VRBO renters, just be aware the house doesn't have the collection of leftover pantry items from previous guests, so you'll need to hit the store if you want cooking oil, sugar, etc. It does have a set of spices if you plan to do more cooking than we did.The owner lives adjacent to the rental, and there are some shared walls. She was very nice to deal with, and we only ran into her once, in the parking area. It didn't bother us at all. But if you plan to break the rules and have a huge party, look elsewhere.
