The host was very friendly and responsive. They were on-site, which some may appreciate, though it occasionally felt a bit close for comfort. The location is beautiful, with stunning ocean views. While not a true beachfront, a public staircase beside the house leads to the water. Beach access is tide-dependent — at high tide, the shoreline is minimal. The house has charm and a cozy, older feel, but some areas could use maintenance. We noticed loose handles, wobbly furniture, and a living room layout that’s not ideal for watching TV.The kitchen is large and well-equipped, though the many cupboards made it hard to find things quickly. The hot tub is a great addition, but it wasn’t very clean on arrival — there was some sand and debris. We saw a few spider webs inside and outside, which is expected in a wooded coastal setting, but worth noting if you’re traveling with kids. Our biggest challenge was the checkout request to wash and dry towels before leaving. With an early flight, this meant skipping showers on our last day, which was stressful to manage.Overall, it’s a unique property in a gorgeous setting. With a bit more attention to upkeep and more flexible checkout rules, it could be a truly special getaway
