We were able to get around using the bikes we rented and barely drove our car. We had plenty of beach things at place and did not have to make any purchases. I would highly recommend staying here. And more to the point - renting with Select Vacation Properties!

What to expect on supplies, overall very enjoyable stay

The property met our expectations on cleanliness, which is rare. It was also well equipped, quiet, and in a great location for both the beach and commuting to activities around the island. The condo had sufficient kitchen utensils and serving wear, there is a starter amount of toilet paper, paper towels, tissues, dish soap, laundry soap, and hand soap. On all accounts it was just shy of being sufficient to get us through the week for a family of four. On the other hand, the condo had a large quantity of towels, a large channel selection, and a sufficiently stocked beach closet. The beach closet has a large quantity of sand toys, buckets/shovels, as well as shell scoops, a pair of googles, boogie boards/kick boards, frisbees/football/beachball, a beach umbrella (hard to anchor in shell laden sand) and a Shibumi sun shade (works great if there is a breeze), and 4+ beach chairs of various types, and a foam cooler. There are not bikes available for renter use, and there is no wagon or easy method to haul the beach supplies to the beach. Bring no-see-um repellent if you plan to be outside near dusk! Apart from the beach and pool, we loved seeing the wildlife: hermit crabs, iguanas, Osprey, tortoises, dolphins and other animals that were all found on or nearby the condo in plenty. We would consider a return someday.

Beautiful

This was perfect little getaway for our family. Great location to the beach. Storage locker had enough chairs for everyone. We had more than enough too for the 5 of us. Can’t wait for our next trip.

Small condo group with nice location to beach

The beach was close, the condo group small so you didn’t feel like you were crammed together like in so many of the larger condo groups. The kitchen was stocked with all the utensils and cookware we needed. Convenient to both sides of the island. When I contacted the property manager, they were quick to respond and were very professional and helpful in responding to my questions. Nicely done.

Nice property

Beautiful condo in a great location, however there were several problems that could have been avoided. One of the bedroom pics looked as though it had 2 double beds but both rooms had 2 twins beds which made sleeping arrangements difficult. One of the 2 bedrooms twin beds were very uncomfortable (Murphy beds, which was not advertised as such) We also had no instruction on how to lock the front door and had to call for this problem. We brought a lot of food to cook/bake however the kitchen was not adequately filled with utensils and/or cooking/baking pans etc. Also, we could not connect to TV apps (ie. Netflix, Hulu). Written instructions were provided but they were inaccurate. Also tv didn’t work in one of the bedrooms.

Beautiful, high-end condo with gorgeous ocean views.

I do a lot of research before renting any place. This condo is exactly as pictured & described. If anything they undersold how nice it actually is. The appliances and beds are all high-end, and appear to be very new. The kitchen was well stocked with nice cookware and knives. Plenty of plates and drinkware. The refrigerator has an automatic ice-maker. The unit was very clean. All white furniture! In a rental!?! We had two adults, 16 and 11 year old boys in the unit. There was plenty of room to add a few more. Two bathrooms is key to living with boys. The large bedroom with attached bath is huge. And the shower is very nice. Both the living room and the large bedroom have full width opening glass doors to the lania.Beach access is right outside the door. Gorgeous sunsets right outside the condo on the beach. Lots of privacy on the lania. We rented bikes for the week from Billy’s. In the beach closet we found a skim board, beach toys, paddle ball, tennis rackets, beach chairs. We also donated 3 brand new boogie boards we bought when we arrived. There were never any waves the whole week we where there. Including on Captiva! The pool is very small. But most condo pools are in Sanibel. The condo grounds were impeccable. There was a person there cleaning every day. The grills were spotless. The location on the island is very good. We biked to Joeys Custard & Bailey’s grocery store (2.6 miles away). Captiva was a fun day trip to Bowmen’s beach and the Bubble Room for lunch. Highly recommend the seafood salad and the chocolate cake. We also liked the Lazy Flamingo on Sanibel. We were very disappointed with the food & service at Wendy & George’s Sanibel grill. The mgmt co was excellent to work with. I highly recommend them. We had one issue & they resolved right away.

I love the A Building because it is quieter. This unit has 3 functioning bedrooms, which is a plus. It has some renovations to keep it fresh. The balcony view is just great of the beach. The master bed was wonderful!

At the beach with our Grandsons

It was a little different with the COVID19 restrictions; however, We had a great time. The beach was never crowded like the ones where you have giant high rise condos behind you. We spent hours playing in the surf. The older boys loved the bedroom with the Murphy beds. We were less than 3 miles from Bailey's or Jerrys grocery stores. If we needed something fast, Bailey's runs a mini mart right down the street in the Sundial complex. Too many Root Beer floats and pieces of Key Lime pie. We will all have to diet when we return home.

Home away from home!

The beach is a very short walk away and more shells than I have ever seen on any other beach I’ve been to, we found 3 really big conches, sand dollars, sharks eye (shells) and more kinds than I have time to name, wonderful experience!! Sanddollar has all the amenities we needed, great view of ocean being #1, close to bike trail, swimming pool, tennis courts, kitchen well equipped, the basket of things we may need until we go to the store was greatly appreciated, would we stay there again? YES

The condo was very clean and well equipped, with comfortable beds and 2 spacious bedrooms, the 3rd probably most suited to children rather than adults. Enjoyed fabulous view from veranda. Located with easy access to a stunning beach and also lovely private pool and bbq area with excellent, clean communal bbqs. Near to a brilliant supermarket and great cafes and Joeys custard ice cream. Also close to Baileys tract , a fabulous wildlife area. Staff at select vacation were extremely welcoming, and most helpful with any queries. Had the best holiday with our family and made so welcome by the locals. Wonderful!!!!
