愛情を込めて修復した2棟のホリデーコテージへようこそ。どちらのコテージにも専用プールがあります。

静かな小道の突き当たり、谷の斜面にひっそりと佇むこの場所では、日常から離れて心からリラックスしていただけます。交通も騒音もなく、気を散らすものもありません。あるのは、静けさとプライバシー、そして美しい田園風景だけです。

静かな環境にありながら、ドルドーニュ地方を観光するのにも理想的な立地です。サルラ、レ・ゼイジー、ペリグー、ベナック、ドンムなどの主要な観光スポットへも便利にアクセスできます。

もともとは納屋だった2棟のコテージを改装し、快適な滞在に必要なものをすべて備えています。明るく開放的で居心地のよい雰囲気を持ちながら、美しいオーク材の梁や木部など、建物本来の魅力も一部残しています。

各コテージにはキングサイズベッドを備えた広いベッドルームがあり、フレンチドアから専用テラスとプライベートプールへ直接出ることができます。オープンプランのキッチン、リビング、ダイニングエリアからも、テラスとプールエリアへ直接アクセスできます。

快適なリビングスペースは2名様用で、ソファ、ダイニングテーブル、設備の整ったキッチンを備えています。キッチンには、ガスコンロ、電子レンジ、冷蔵庫、トースター、コーヒーメーカー、電気ケトルがあります。

バスルームには、トイレ、シャワーブース、洗面台があります。

Gite was compact and comfortable, just what we needed for a 2 week stay. The hosts Karen and Steve met us when we arrived, were really friendly and gave suggestions of where to visit. The location was perfect, peaceful, but easy enough with a car to reach other places to visit. We will definitely return!

Hi Glenna. Thank you for writing about your stay. We weren't aware of any hot water issues. The tank is heated during the night, so it may be that you used the tank of water during the day and it needed to heat up again. I'm sorry if this caused any inconvenience. But its lovely to hear you enjoyed your stay all the same.

The Old Barn

We stayed at the Old Barn in the Spring, the location is excellent, not far from the main tourist attractions but also very quiet, it really was a very relaxing holiday. The cottage had everything we needed and was very comfortable, the views of an evening are really special, overlooking the hills and the chateau. If we come back to France we would certainly think about booking here again.

Perfect getaway!

Just back from 2 weeks at this beautiful little property and feeling so chilled out ! Great peaceful location with breath taking views and only a stones throw from the local village and a decent size supermarket. Superb base for exploring the wider area although have to admit we spent a lot of time just relaxing in the sunshine by the lovely plunge pool ! The property is well equipped and Karen was on hand should you need her with lots of information about the area etc . We had a great holiday and would recommend the property wholeheartedly ! ❤️

Le lieu du gîte est très bien.Toutefois il n y a pas beaucoup de place pour le rangement des courses et la salle de bain est exiguë et il manque de vaisselle et récipients de cuisson.

Kleines Ferienhaus am Ende der Welt! Hier ist es herrlich ruhig und der Ausblick von der Terrasse ist super! Ab und zu gibt’s Besuch von ein paar Kühen! Der Ort hat alles was man zum Leben braucht inklusive einem gut sortierten Carefour!Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und von den Nachbarn in der Gite nebenan kriegt man nicht viel mit! Was leider fehlt ist der hohe Sichtschutz, den man noch auf den Bildrrn sieht. Bei großer Hitze sollte man tagsüber unbedingt alle Fenster und Türen geschlossen halten und die Vorhänge zuziehen, weil die Gite leider nicht klimatisiert ist! Die Terasse liegt ab 10 Uhr bis zum Sonnenuntergang in der Sonne. Wir waren im Juni 2 Wochen vor Ort und bei über 35 Grad im Schatten war es nur noch im Pool auszuhalten trotz großem Sonnenschirm. Achtung: kein deutsches Fernsehen aber gutes WLan!Alles in Allem war es ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt!

Steve and Karen are lovely hosts. They made us feel welcome and able to ask anything we were unsure about. The Gite is small and well equipped. The pool was an added luxury, especially with the unusually hot weather for the end of May. Views were spectacular and helped us to relax and enjoy our surroundings. Shops are only a walk away, as are the restaurants. Hope to visit again when next in this area of France.

Petit paradis !

Calme absolu pour ce petit paradis au bout d’un chemin face à la campagne avec veaux et vaches pour (presque) seuls voisins. Admirer le couchant en prenant l’apéro au bord de la piscine idéale pour deux, cela n’a pas de prix ! Commerces à proximité. Merci pour tout, Karen !

Nous avons été bien accuGîte confortable et bien équipé situé au bout d'une impasse. Belle vue sur les champs et du château de l'Herm. Coucher de soleil magnifique. Bien situé pour les visites. Emplacement très calme et agréable

Gîte conforme à la description, situé au bout d'une impasse, belle vue sur les champs et un château de Rouffignac. Bien situé pour les visites en Dordogne. Hôtes discrets et accueillants.

Over the years lots of people have asked why we decided to move to France. The only answer we have ever really been able to come up with is that ‘we fancied a bit of a change’. And that’s really all there was to it. At the time we had very little understanding of the country or its people, naively thinking, ‘How different can it be ? It’s only across the channel’. Stupid right ?

But that was such a long time ago. Here we are now, 20 years later, living in a part of the world that really is truly amazing. The scenery, even after all this time, can still take your breath away. We enjoy some of the best food and wine in the world. We have the space to grow our own vegetables, rear our own animals and have settled into country life in a way that we never could have imagined.

But most of all it’s the quiet that really makes a difference. Whether it’s a warm summer’s morning or a crisp winter’s day, it will always be peaceful and very very quiet. But don’t just take our word for it, come and see for yourself….
