Charming and peaceful

Our stay at the villa was relaxing, and peaceful. A great central location for the Tuscan area and Cortana. We walked the trails, visited and emerged ourself into the history and surrounding countryside of beauty. Surrounded by olive trees, beautiful wildflowers and the charm of the villa gives you a true feel for the culture.

Great time Irene was an excellent host. Enjoyed the place.

The setting was beautiful. It was great sipping wine on the patio in the evenings and just looking into the valley below and towards Cortona Italy. It was very private and peaceful. Great for sipping coffee in the morning.

Loved Cortona

Beautiful home at the top of the mountain. We had a Great Month long stay. Quiet with beautiful view of the Valley below. The home is at the end of a Long gravel road just above the town of Cortona. Family and friends joined us at different times and the location served as an Excellent base for wanderings around the countryside. Irene and her parents, Fiorella & Luciano, were Excellent Hosts who were Very Helpful and Attentive to any requests we had. They were Awesome!! The patio was excellent for enjoying the view over morning coffee or evening wine while enjoying the Sunsets. If your looking for the classic Tuscan experience, This is the place.

Amazing property overlooking beautiful Tuscany.

This Villa was amazing, Irene was always in touch through the whole process. The villa is every bit as stunning as in the pictures. You pass Cortona and drive up a old Roman gravel road. (You will need a car for this property, I recommend a suv type vehicle). When you reach to top of the hill sits the villa, overlooking the whole valley. We were greeted with wine and olive oil. The villa consists of an upstairs where bedrooms, bathroom, and sitting room are located. Downstairs is the kitchen, living room, with terrace and garden with ample tables and chairs for entertaining or to sit and enjoy the sunset. Cortona is 10 minutes down the road and is easily located for day trips to other towns. I would highly recommend this location to anyone visiting Italy and hope to come back.

Absolutely Wonderful Place

A great stay and the most wonderful place and spectacular views. Communication with owner was wonderful and our welcome was great. The place is as described and so much room with everything needed for a great stay. I definitely recommend to stay and hoping to be back again.

Fantastisk beliggende feriebolig i Toscana

Fantastisk beliggende feriebolig tæt ved Cortona. Vi blev godt modtaget med vin, olivenolie og tapas. Huset har en fantastisk beliggenhed, med enestående udsigt fra pergolaen til Cortona. Huset er velfungerende, godt indrettet, hyggeligt og anbefalelsesværdigt. Indeholder alle faciliteter inkl. velfungerende Wi-Fi, vaskemaskemaskine mm. Vi nød at haven var indhegnet af hensyn til vores lille hund, og vi nød dens spændende beplantning med oliventræer, granatæbler, kakifrugter mm. Meget nem og hurtig dialog med ejer. Vi kommer gerne igen:-)

Perfect getaway

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful Tuscan house. The interior was charming, the outside stunning. We spent so many lovely evenings on the terrace taking in the views and watching sunsets. My dog also absolutely loved it - the property was completely fenced in so he had free roam over the big grounds. We did a great hike through the local countryside and also walked to Cortona several times (careful it is steep on the way back ;)). The communication with Irene via WhatsApp was uncomplicated and friendly. Her parents greeted us with wine and bruschetta and were lovely and kind people. So we can recommend this property wholeheartedly to anyone who is looking for some quiet time in the beautiful Tuscan countryside.

Unbelievable Views

We absolutely loved our stay at Irene’s property. The location for a Tuscan getaway could not have been more perfect, situated on top of the hill looking over Cortona. We sat on the patio and watched that spectacular sunset every night! The house itself was lovely and had a comfortable cottage feel to it. The distance to town is a quick drive, I would recommend a larger SUV-type car since the Villa is up in the hill and the roads aren’t paved it was a little daunting in a Fiat 500! Irene was great and her mum Fiorella and Luciano treated us like family. Overall it was the most relaxing time we had during our trip and we will be back again next year!

Vacanza stupenda!

Io, mia madre e il nostro cagnolino Noa abbiamo trascorso una vacanza bellissima, la casa è grande, curata e in tipico stile toscano, comodissima a soli 3 km da Cortona, con un giardino e terreno molto apprezzati da noi e Noa, la vista è spettacolare e i proprietari Fiorella, il marito e la loro figlia Irene sono persone squisite, gentili e disponibili, non potevamo chiedere di meglio! Grazie a presto!

Traditional villa with great views perfect for chilling out

This traditional property was really great - with a fantastic terrace and lovely views. Irene was a friendly host and the welcome bottle of wine was much appreciated. We would certainly stay again. However, I would make a couple of suggestions. The property is not easy to find and better advance directions, property name and address would help. Neither of our two satnavs could locate it. Although the last minute directions Irene gave would have helped had I received them, I was dependent on wifi and didn't get them till too late. But Irene was very patient and eventually she kindly met us at a local restaurant to show us the way. Also, I suggest Irene considers turning the upstairs sitting room into the second bedroom. The current second bedroom is small while I doubt the upstairs sitting room is much used as a sitting room and it would be a great bedroom - making the property more suitable and private for two couples. Also, a couple of aspects of the advertised description could be more accurate. Although we didn't need three bathrooms, I'm not sure why the property advertised three when there are only two. And a swimming pool shouldn't be advertised when the only pool is a public one miles away. Finally, a word of warning, the access is quite rough. We destroyed a tyre in our week long stay but I guess that is the price you pay for the iconic isolated Tuscan villa with great views and amazing sunsets.
