Look into photos carefully

We loved Grand Cayman but beware of a few things when renting this property. You absolutely need a car; it's on a very busy road and walking really isn't possible. The beach across the street is all rocks and seaweed so you will need to go to one of the public beaches. They are great. We stayed in unit 4 and the pics were swapped online. The master bed had an enormous dip/crater in it which made it impossible for 2 of us to sleep in there. The furnishings are older and musty. The front burner on the stove doesn't work (it's slanted) and the oven took a long time to heat. The screen kept falling out of the door on the screened in porch. There was a horrible body odor smell emanating from the hall closet. The bed linens have seen better days and had some stains, even after I washed them. This didn't ruin our vacation but I definitely didn't think it was worth the money. The owners did give a recommendation for the Czech Inn and we loved that spot! Great locals hang out. Owners were very polite when we informed them about the bed and they did credit us a small refund. Hoping they replaced the mattress!

Cayman Suncoast Apartments

Great vacation at Suncoast Apartments. Excellent communication and assistance from property owners. Property is outside of town and not in a neighborhood, which is what we wanted, but is just minutes from everything you need. Plus, the location makes the drive to North Side and Rum Point both easy and enjoyable. Having the kayaks to use was really fun and a bonus perk. Would definitely stay there again.

Nice and quiet.

We really enjoyed staying at the Sunset Apartment. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. It felt more like a home than an apartment. It was great to have two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The screened in porch was very nice and the area is very quiet. While being on the main road had traffic it was not so loud. The beach area across the road was nice and secluded with shallow water and lots of sea grass with fish and other creatures. Our amazing stay.

Our stay was amazing. Wonderful response from the owners if we had questions. They provided everything from good quality snorkel gear, to beach towels, to sunscreen. Screened in porch. Washer and dryer. We will be back guaranteed.

Great apartment

Suncoast apartment was a great apartment for our recent holiday. It was clean and had almost everything we needed. The beach across the street was nice for a quick dip to cool off (not much to see if you snorkel) and the AC in the building works great! It is easy to drive to either end of the island and we ventured out everyday in both directions. It’s about a half hour drive to Georgetown/Seven Mile beach and Rum Point is about 20 minutes. You definitely want a car if you are active like we are, we saw a lot of busses however and heard that the transit system was easy to use. There was a smart TV, a decent sized mostly stocked kitchen and a screened in balcony. Each bedroom has an ensuite which is nice as well since we were there with another couple. Lots of beach towels, snorkels/masks/flippers in the unit as well. Unfortunately there were only two beach chairs to take to other beaches and the cooler was a small styrofoam one that leaked so we bought one at Fosters that worked well for us. Clive and Lily were awesome to deal with and quick with their responses to any questions we had both prior to being there and while on site.

Convenient and comfortable

We found the location to be central to all the places we wanted to snorkel. Furniture was comfortable. It was clean and we loved the big fluffy beach towels. Close to Spotts Beach and the sea turtles we enjoy.

A taste of the Caribbean on the beach

The apartment is just as advertised, spacious and comfortable enough for 4 adults. The apartment is clean and away from the hustle-bustle of Seven Mile Beach with an amazing view from the porch! It was a perfect location to explore all that the island of Grand Cayman has to offer but a car is mandatory to enjoy this location. Needless to say, the sea, the beaches, and the dining but Bodden Town is a charming location full of history and importance to the island. Recommended for a perfect balance of culture, history, nature, and entertainment.

Fantastic place to stay!

We spent 6 nights at this fantastic apartment in late June/early July 2018 during our first trip to the Caymans! Located centrally on the island, it allowed us the freedom to explore all of Grand Cayman. It was a short drive to 7 Mile Beach, but it was nice to escape from the bustle of the tourist areas to the quiet surroundings of the apartment. My wife enjoyed finding nice seashells on the beach in front of the unit early each morning. We appreciated the fact that the owners have snorkeling equipment, beach chairs, and towels for us to use, and we used these items extensively. The owners also have some great recommendations on where to eat and what to do that were spot on. We really enjoyed the comfort of the apartment and would definitely stay here again when we return to the Caymans!

Clean, quiet and amazing views!

Thank you so much for sharing this little slice of heaven! We had so much fun on our vacation. The apartment location was perfect and easily accessible to local beaches and other destinations! The restaurants in the area were great. We especially liked the Czech Inn and Tukka! Spotts beach was a perfect hangout and snorkel location to see turtles. The private beach in front of the apartment was perfect for a secluded morning coffee or afternoon drink. We would definitely return to Sun Coast apartments in Bodden Town. Thank you for making our vacation perfect!

Simple, but everything we needed. Very comfortable.

Clive, Lily and Winsome were excellent hosts. One miscommunication about beds was quickly resolved. Loved being away from the rest of crowds if 7 Mile and Rum Point. 1/2 way to both places so easy to visit. Should have a rental car. And don't miss eating at the Czec Inn, loved so much, ate there twice.

Awesome vacation

The location of the condo is perfect - away from Seven Mile beach so it's nice and quiet but easy to get around the island. Everything in the condo is as advertised and very comfortable. The owners were responsive and took time to speak to answer all kinds of questions prior to our arrivals in Grand Cayman. We would definitely recommend this place to others. A rental car is recommended so you can get around easily. There are supermarkets nearby. We took time to explore the island and all the different beaches. Nice places to eat nearby including Czech Inn Grill, Over the Edge and Rum Point. We love Grand Cayman, it's very safe and locals are very nice and helpful. Perfect place to unwind and relax.

Enjoyed our stay!

This apartment is nicely located for access all areas of the island quite easily. The grounds and apartment are very well kept. It is quite a gem at the price point. We were very comfortable here and the property manager was very responsive to a couple of requests we made. The owner is the most responsive and considerate I have ever encountered on VRBO and this is our 5th rental. The beach in front is pretty, but it is not swimming beach. There are several beaches that are better suited for that not far away. When you go to Grand Cayman, you have to expect to drive. I wish there had been a restaurant a little closer. South Coast , Lighthouse and Czech's (excellent) closest, but still a short drive. There is a lot of traffic on the road between the apartment and the beach, so there is a bit of noise issue. However, it is not a problem at night. We would have appreciated if the kitchen had a few more utensils and such, but we made it work. All in all, it was one of best trips ever, despite some disagreeable weather.

Everything was perfect

Wow! Great trip! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was our second stay in the condo and we have to say that this stay was even better than last year! A beautiful condo, super clean, well furnished, comfortable beds and only steps to the beach with private kayaks. Great price and very nice area. Clive and Lily are very organised and were very helpful from the start. They provided a very informative information pack with their favourite places to visit and great diving companies suggestions. Our favourite beach where we've spent most of our time is Rum Point and it's only a short drive from the condo. We would highly recommend this property and hoping to get back there again next year!

Great location with beautiful views

The property was cleaned and well maintained. Had all the essentials one needs for a comfortable stay here. It was especially nice that beach towels were provided. Saved a lot of space in luggage. We loved that this location was in the middle of the island. Made it easy for us to travel between Rum Point, East End and Seven mile beach. I would definitely recommend this property. The owners were wonderful to work with and very responsive.
